How to Master Exposure with Julien Jarry Adorama Cinema 2025-02-25 | Do you want to level up when it comes to nailing and dialing in your exposure? Sit back, dive in, and let’s learn about what it takes. Over the years, I feel like I’ve started to create better, more professional-looking images by exposing them darker. Let me explain. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments below.I did not mention zebras; I realize that people could be wondering about them. I didn’t mention them because I don’t use them very often, but when I do, depending on what camera I’m using, I set them to where the log curve clips. For Sony Slog3, I believe I have them set to 95%, which means that when I am shooting, if I see those zebras, I know to bring down the exposure and protect those highlights from clipping. I’ve come to love the size of these lenses, which has encouraged me to go out more, even with the 20 to 30-degree weather in New York. Emmrose | AMPLIFIED: Behind The Music Adorama Cinema 2022-04-29 | Emmrose is a skilled vocalist whose love of music has been from a young age. These sets of songs she plays for us were with a string quartet which she has been wanting to perform with for some time, were incredibly fascinating to hear and with such a powerful relation to sound and space, the music videos are a must-watch.We also have our amazing sound engineer Julian Evans, explain his audio of choice on the behind-the-scenes used to create the music videos listed below. Emmrose is an 18-year-old singer-songwriter currently attending college in NYC who has been performing and releasing music since the age of 14. Emmrose - Waiting for Nowhere (Original Song) | Amplified Adorama Cinema 2022-04-26 | Emmrose performs her original song “Waiting for Nowhere" in an exclusive live recording session in Brooklyn, NY. Emmrose has been really inspired to write songs about where she lives, based on places she passes by every day by creating stories in her head that take place in her neighborhood. She lives in the Union Square area of NYC and was inspired to write a song that explicitly took place there. The song is all about getting ‘stood up' for a date, and while she admits she’s never been "stood up”, she really resonated with this concept. She identified with the loneliness and the whole idea of waiting for someone who won’t ever be coming to meet them. Emmrose adds, "I really like the lyrics, I looked around union square the strand, and some street fairs but you’re nowhere since Union Square is such a vibrant area, and The Strand bookstore is my favorite place in the world, and I love walking around all the street markets there. Visions of a perfect night It’s blinding waiting in the light you told me to meet me at half-past nine, didn’t show guess that’s alright. This line is way more plot-based, it gets into why the narrator is there at night and waiting for a date in union square.
