I had to get to max level for this, even though I'm sure I could've won without max level. The fight gets much easier when you destroy all of the crystals. Just have to PERFECTLY guard the big attack. I miss a LOT of guards because I'm a scrub.26 turns to win btwall because I had to heal a lot!I popped off HARD when I saw this boss.me: "....a flat being...? *ponders hard* "oooooooooooooooooooooooooooh!"
Super Mario RPG Remake - Culex Rheylis 2023-11-17 | The OG Superboss that has a lot of attacks due to some dumb rocks! Peach is there with the Lazy Shell to heal up through this boss's shenanigans. I also dismantle the crystals. That is something I usually don't do. Boss is made SLIGHTLY easier since you can tell if Culex is gonna do a physical attack by him doing the old school FF blinking thing. lolBTW! Safety Ring is nerfed. Elemental damage can go through. Safety Ring still busted, though.

That or use Thought Peek to see weaknesses. Sleepy Time makes the fight much easier. Don't have to worry about the candles making a sentient cake excited to shoot you in the face with a beam!

It just really boils down to guarding perfectly....or be like me and cheese it with Lazy Shell armor.
