Vinny Vinesauce 3D Model Showcase infl8ablecat 2020-08-24 | Made this in about 25-ish days worth of work, roughly 200 hours or so.I thought it would be fun to learn character modeling, so I learned how to do some basic sculpting in Blender, then learned retopology, then textured this in Substance Painter, then rendered this in cycles finally. Also used rigify to make a quick rig to show deformations for animation.Right now the model isn't usable outside of Blender since I did the hair with Blender's hair particles, but I may convert everything and make hair cards. I'm not really an animator, but I may try to make a fun little thing with this, who knows!

Spent about 2+~ weeks on it, and made everything in Blender 2.83, and the textures in Substance Painter (overkill I know, but I'm familiar with substance lol), and THEN some final touches were added in Davinci Resolve. I made everything here (models, textures, shaders, rigs, animations), except the base texture for the planet's grass, although it is heavily modified in the shader.I had this idea on a whim, and decided it was a good excuse to try to learn Blender, since I already learned quite a bit of Maya in college. Also, this is rendered in eevee instead of cycles since it's so stylized and doesn't benefit much from realistic raytraced lighting as far as I know.I decided on a low-poly style because I really like the look of stuff like Megaman Legends and JSR/JSRF, and even referenced legends art for the style when creating the texture for Vinny. The choppy, non-interpolated walk cycle idea came from the 2nd Dorohedoro ED, I thought it was cute yet punchy.Special shoutouts to Eminus for creating the game Mario's Mystery Meat and the original pixelart animation for the chat dance (seen on the right-most chat member), and for AlizarinRed for porting it to Twitch/BTTV as ChatPls (and also thanks aliz, for KermiePls).Finally, extra special shoutouts to the Vinesauce community and Vinesauce art community, I love you all.
