ROB KELLETT - UNTITLED_22 Rob Kellett 2023-01-16 | I'd love to write a big spiel about these clips, because 2022 was a wild one; but truth be told I don't really know where to begin.A lot of big changes in my personal life; with a fair share of heart warming moments, balanced out by some stressful heart-wrenching ones.This video is purely a collection of loose clips I've collected throughout 2022. Most of which were on the backside of an injury, or me just coming out of those post injury spooks.My skating in 2022 felt very stop-starty... just when I would find a rhythm, I'd get injured; mostly because my mind was probably elsewhere. I put a lot of unnecessary pressure on myself to skate a certain way, or at a certain level, only to find that treating skating like that left me feeling nothing but down when I couldn't perform to my own expectations; or frustrated I couldn't perform for the fleeting moments an opportunity to actually get a clip would arise.In a weird full circle, I ended the year with the same outlook on skating that I started with - there's literally no pressure to be anything but myself. It's fun. It's creative. It's pure freedom. I can do it any way I want to, and it's exactly how I make it... a vision, that I sadly lost somewhere throughout 2022. Depressive mindset's suck. CHINA TIMES - VLOG 4: Evacuating WUHAN - Quarantined & Skating on Christmas Island Detention Center. Rob Kellett 2020-04-08 | On February 3rd 2020, Josh and I were evactuated from Wuhan by the Australian Goverment. At that moment in time, Wuhan was the epicenter of the Novel Coronavirus, with the number of infections increasing by thousands each day...Taking no risks to the safety of the Australian population, the goverment decided that everyone who chose to be a part of the evactuation, would be sent to Christmas Island; where we would all spend 14 days quarantine inside the repurposed Immigration Detention Centre.With this appearing to be the safest option at the time, Josh and I decided to send it... here's what went down!**Applogies in advance for their not being much blading in this video! Promise there's more blading content on the way! For those of you who want to skip straight to us skating go here: 16:00As always, we did out best to stay positive and make the most out of a sticky situation. Don't take this video too seriously, it only shows brief moments of the brighter times during our evacuation & quarantine period. CHINA TIMES - VLOG 3: Skating in WUHAN Lockdown - The Epicenter of the Coronavirus Rob Kellett 2020-02-01 | The city of Wuhan, China has been put into quarantine as the Chinese government tries to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). After moving to Wuhan in late 2019 with my good friend Josh when our contract in Chongqing finished, we had high hopes of exploring another city in China (and for me to be closer to my girlfriend who has been working in Wuhan since early 2019). Everything was going well, until a few weeks ago when a new virus outbreak began.With the situation escalating quickly, the city has been put on lockdown, with all plaines and trains cancelled, and no public transport. No way in, and no way out!With the city on lockdown, and no one in sight; Josh and I decided it was safe enough to head out for a skate, in the hope to give a little insight into what the current situation in Wuhan is like.With our masks on, we venture out around our local area, skate a few spots and answer a couple of questions along the way. ARO WEEKENDER 2015 Rob Kellett 2019-04-26 | James and I made the trip down to Canberra for the 2015 Australian Rolling Open! Turned out to be quite an adventure, with some super sweet deals on return flights, free hotels (buffet breakfast included), and a 3rd Place in the Open Devision! It was so good to see the aussie blading family again, and we left with so many good memories! ROB KELLETT X CHINA Rob Kellett 2019-04-25 | Another throwback... this time to my home away from home, Tianjin China; where I spent 3 months (2015) hanging out and enjoying that China life.------ Original Caption ------Spent the last few months blading, filming and hanging out in Tianjin City, China.Tianjin is indescribably amazing! The culture, the people and the city itself are all things that make this place one of the raddest cities I've ever visited! Out in the streets on the hunt for spots every day we could, Paulie Haack, Oliver Czaja and myself managed to stack a bunch of clips from our time there. China is like something else when it comes to street spots, perfect ledges, dodgy chrome rails, random architecture, amazing views, and seemingly not a single security guard that doesn't like rollerblading!For this section I tried to do something a little different, didn't want to use the typical "song for an edit", so I hunted down some old school chinese funk and went with that!
