I was looking for the perfect song (and I’ve always been wanting to vid this song) so I think this does a great job, it really portrays their story as well as their struggles in TKB2. Since I watching the kissing booth 2, I haven’t stopped thinking about it! I really enjoyed much more than I thought I would have. I watched the first one and liked but it wasn’t that great to me compared to the 2nd! I was really surprised how much I liked it, I love angst so I’m sure that was part of it! I also really loved the soundtrack and loved how Noah was way more mature. I don’t really care about the actors personal lives but I found Joey and Jacob to have more chemistry this movie than the first, which is funny because they broke up but their acting was phenomenal! I don’t know why they broke up, but I saw some videos of them and they were so cute together. They really looked happy together, so maybe if they’re meant to be in the future, they’ll find their way back to eachother! Anyways, I really thought Noah and Elle were a great couple who both loved eachother but had major miscommunication skills (as do other Netflix films 🤣) but I’m glad she chose Noah at the end. I heard this song and it immediately reminded me of naley and their breakup in s2. I knew I needed to use this song and show the heartbreaking moments of their relationship. As sad it was, I’ve never seen a character so hurt like how Nathan was and it was what truly made me like Nathan. I knew Haley cared about Nathan but I don’t think I realized how much Nathan loved Haley. And I really wanted to show the emotional aspects of their relationship because I rarely see it in vids, it’s usually happy when they’re older and I guess bc this happened in s2, videos weren’t really a thing at that time so we don’t usually get to use the raw parts of their relationship. This was definitely a different type of video for me but I really enjoyed it and will love to another video like this is in the future. This was a long time coming..i did not realize my last video of them was my falling apart video of these two which was a little over a year ago. When i heard this song, i immediately thought of rory and jess..how they both were once so perfect for each other but then become like strangers to each other. I did not realize i actually never used one kiss of them which is so unusual for me! Second of all, i somehow found parallels of them that i never vidded before even though i have vidded them for a million times by now! I wanted to show how similar Rory and Jess were that they both expected the other to do more yet both of them were too stubborn to do anything. Jess expected Rory to call or send him letter, which she wanted to do but never did and when Jess left Rory expected Jess to call her which he technically did but didn’t say anything just like with Rory and her letter. They both wanted eachother to fight for them but neither did. Yet they both went thru such lengths to just see eachother. And at the end of the video with the scene of the diner, I just wanted to show how both of them wanted to see the other but they both were too scared and in the end they become strangers to eachother (aliens, basically). This video was a challenge for me because i wanted all my scenes to fit the lyrics of this song. I wanted this video to be portrayed by a male point of view, so that's why its all about the guy caring about the girl. That's why i also never included one scene of a kiss, which is truly hard especially in a multicouple. Throughout the video i wanted to show that the guy is in love with the girl but she doesn't know, he feels if she finds out she won't feel the same and she's also with someone else. Later he realizes, he's too late and regrets it. Thus finally, understanding that he can love her but let her go. And he has always thought loving her was hard, but now the worst thing is having to let her go and completely losing her.
