In this week's wood turning project, I demonstrate the techniques I used on the lathe to turn this off centre elm burr (burl) art wall hanging.

It was great fun to turn and add a little colouring to. Here is an equipment and woodturning tool list for the stuff I used in the video:

Lathe: Axminster 2030 Trade Lathe;
Chuck: Nova's Super Nova Chuck with 120mm jaws and faceplate.
Gouges: Robert Sorby 1.5" Bowl Gouge and 3/8th Spindle Gouge
Scrapers: 1.5" Ashley Isles Scraper and 0.5" Sorby Scraper
Stain/Dye: Black and Earth colours from my Intrinsic Colour Collection;
Gilt: Liberon Versaille
Oil: Hampshire Sheen Danish Oil
Wax: Hampshire Sheen High Gloss
