All credit is below!*Why did this take me so long to make?! I actually started this around the time Frozen 2 was in theaters and this song gave me a lot of inspiration when I first heard it in theaters. After some thought, I decided this would be perfect for my character Cheeta, and her discovery of her LITERAL destiny to claim this Angel Shard. Its protected by Crystal, a devine creature called a celine, whos jobs are to oversee that everything in the world goes according to the plan laid out for this planet millions of years ago (down to smallest detail). Cheeta's brother had a similar destiny, but it was not planned to end as happy as hers. At least Cheeta has her friends to accompany her, as long as they don't get in the way of fate...Creating animatics/animations really help me clear up story elements and are a great way to communicate how I want a scene to look without focusing too much on dialogue (the lyrics guide me)! I was listening to a song for the first time in awhile and was so inspired that I could not stop listening to it until I made something for it. I came up with a concept sequence that would honestly be really cool to actually have in my story, Journey. A corrupted dude named 8 and all the divine souls are called to the "Divine 1" where some magic destiny stuff is going down. 8 is full of anger, because this whole divine destiny thing is what caused him to be cursed and basically ruined his life, so he tries to take it out on the "Divine 1", aka Cheeta. Some of these details may make more sense when I finally release an animatic I've been working on for awhile. ;) Maybe if I really want to I'll do some more bits from this song, because IT IS SO CATCHY AND GIVES ME CHILLS EVERY TIME. Also the history and legends surrounding of the Romanov family of Imperial Russia.What is this?:I'm doing something very special that will take ages, but its just a bunch of fun side projects lines up for me to do. Basically i have ALL these OCs and i love them and i also love musicals, so i chose 16 different musicals that i love and paired each one to an OC. Then i picked 1 song from each musical and i am going to make an animatic to each of those songs. So when I'm all done i will have 16 different OCs playing the main role in 16 different musicals and they each will have an animatic featuring them singing a song from their musical. Make sense? I usually see 1 defining main character in every musical, so I tried matching up OC's personalities to fit the main character of their musicals. It was actually really fun to plan out. I won't give away too much detail, but i want to give you a small overview of whats going on in the musical at this point and how i have incorporated my touch to it! :) So basically Gleb is trying to kill Anya, because she is the last member of the Romanov family alive and the Bolshevik revolution that just took place sought to completely end the imperial rule of the Romanov family. (I recommend looking up the history of Imperial Russia and specifically Anastasia and her family. After all, this story was based on historical events that actually happened.) Dimitri and Vlad, two con men, seek to claim the large reward for bringing back the missing Princess Anastasia to her grandmother, the Empress, all the way in Paris. They trick Anya, an orphan girl who lost her memories very young, into thinking she was is the missing princess (spoiler alert: she really is the missing princess). The three of them set course for Paris in hopes of reuniting Anya with her family and scoring that sweet reward. Stuff happens, they get to Paris, and now they must convince the Empress that Anya is her granddaughter. Dimitri and Anya start falling in love, but they know it probably won't last after they go their separate ways. Anya is worried that the Empress will think she is a fake and turn her away. Dimitri really wants to help Anya find her family and be happy. Vlad is just a proud dad who has a thing for the Empress' lady in waiting, Lily. The Empress is so fed up with all the fake Anastasias that she has just assumed her to be dead and has given up all hope of finding her. Gleb lowkey has a crush on Anya, but knows he must kill her for the sake of his country. This is where this animatic comes in. Everyone is preparing for the night that could change their futures. When i first heard the song i thought the title said "Ball" and not "Ballet", so i originally imagined this scene taking place at a ball or big party. When deciding to make this song as an animatic i felt it was a good choice to make the scene at a ball. This would allow for much more movement and keep the viewer interested in what was happening, rather than just have the characters sit in seats and sing the whole time. All of the OCs feature in each others musicals and side characters, but everyone has their moment to shine in their own musicals :DFor Example (Cast):Elphaba- Variel (This is her musical)Glinda- CascadiaWhile i feel that both characters are important to the story, i picked Elphaba as the MAIN MAIN character, because it's really a lot about her side of the story and the musical/book portrays her in such a different light that the original Wizard of Oz. She's more fleshed out and has motives and feels like a real person and not just a villian who randomly wants ruby slippers and to ruin everyone's day.CONTEXT (Spoilers):Glinda and Elphaba arrive at their new school to study magic and things don't go as planned. Glinda gets jealous of the attention Elphaba is getting from the teachers for her great magic skills. Elphaba is jealous of Glinda's popularity and status as the good-est witch at school. They are put as roommates accidentally which makes their hate for each other spiral downward even further. This song is the beginning of their relationship. Cascadia and Variel were seriously the most perfect pair to use for this musical. Wicked is literally the story of their relationship from beginning to end. I mean the details are different, but Cascadia and Variel were jealous and distant from each other at first. Totally opposite ends of the spectrum, but fate brought them closer together and they began to understand each other and eventually formed a great bond! :) I swear i made these characters before i saw Wicked! I'm doing something very special that will take ages but its just a bunch of fun side projects lines up for me to do. Basically i have ALL these OCs and i love them and i also love musicals, so i chose 16 different musicals that i love and paired each one to an OC. Then i picked 1 song from each musical and i am going to make an animatic to each of those songs. So when I'm all done i will have 16 different OCs playing the main role in 16 different musicals and they each will have an animatic featuring them singing a song from their musical. Make sense? I usually see 1 defining main character in every musical, so I tried matching up OC's personalities to fit the main character of their musicals. It was actually really fun to plan out. She hears a voice call her name and thinks it is the angel of music that has been appearing in her dreams and singing to her. Meg, Christine's friend, finds her to congratulate her, but when Christine talks about this mysterious angel she becomes very curious. Christine sees her angel as someone who has been looking out for her, strengthening her voice and acting as a musical tutor, ever since her father passed. She has yet to find out the true identity of her angel of music. The mirror is a very important symbol in the play and in this animatic. It reveals who you truly are and almost acts as a wall separating the Phantom from Christine. Later in the musical the Phantom actually reveals the mirror to be his secret passageway when it opens and takes Christine through it to his lair. When it's closed Christine has this false hope of who her "angel" is. It's only when it opens and she is with the Phantom does she find out who he truly is. He falls in love with the gypsy and alot happens and basically now he went to find her and his master, Claude Frollo (a pervert deacon) followed him and captures Esmerelda and locks Quasimodo away in Notre Dame so he could not disobey him any longer. The spirits are pretty much Quasi's conscience in this musical and are the ones that kept him company.
