Oceanalpha USV 2025-06-04 | OceanAlpha, a leading innovator in unmanned marine technology, recently concluded its L25 Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) demonstration at Port Rashid, Dubai, from May 26 to 29. The event, supported by strategic partners SINO and Sitech Gulf, showcased tailored solutions addressing critical needs in offshore energy, hydrographic surveying, and smart port development across the Middle East.

The event combined static displays of the vessel at the marina with dynamic demonstrations of autonomous navigation, sensor integration, and real-time data collection.

The L25 USV demonstrated its multi-sensor hub capability, integrating Teledyne Marine’s T20 Multibeam Sonar, EdgeTech Marine’s 4125 Side Scan Sonar, and Teledyne PDS software. With Trimble Centrepoint RTX signal correction, the system achieved 4 cm positioning accuracy, making it an ideal solution for complex offshore oil & gas and marine survey challenges. During dynamic trial, the vessel simultaneously executed seabed mapping, sediment analysis, underwater structure detection.

Real-time data from these operations streamed to the indoor Remote Operation Centre (ROC), where attendees viewed synchronized displays of navigation paths, sonar scans, and seabed maps—demonstrating how the USV’s end-to-end workflow can enhance efficiency in energy and maritime sectors.

At 19:47 on 30th January, the Wuyou Police Station received an alarm.
A drunk man fell into the river and was found crying for help.

The police rushed to the scene in minutes and spotted the drowning victim. And a Dolphin 1 RC buoy was launched to rescue the man.

The police remotely controlled the buoy to reach the victim. The man successfully grabbed Dolphin 1 soon and was brought back to the bank safely and stably.

When an accident occurs, the witness calls for emergency assistance. After confirming the situation, the operator on duty can quickly unlock and open the storage box with one press at the control centre.

Dolphin 1 Water Rescue Robot is ready to use and easy to operate. The Quick Guide attached can help the rescuer get started in seconds.

It can be launched with ease for rapid rescue. Under the remote control of the rescuer, it approaches the drowning victim at a high speed of up to 3.6m/s. Once the victim successfully grabs the remote-controlled lifebuoy, he can be brought back to shore safely.

OceanAlpha M40P USV towing the acoustic equipment recorded the sound emitted by the dolphin. The M40P USV is electricity driven, and it generates very little noise. So the dolphins won't be frightened, and the dolphins' sound signals recorded by the USV are clear and distinguishable.
