The President offered radical change and a solution to Argentina’s long-running economic crisis when he was elected in December and has slashed the 50,000 public jobs, along with fuel and transport subsidies, but he has yet to pass a single piece of legislation throughout his first six months in office. The legislation gives President Milei broad and controversial powers. If the Senate approves the bills with modifications, it will be the first major victory for the right-wing leader, and lead him a step closer to delivering his ambitious libertarian agenda. D-Day 2024: Remembering Those Who Served On Demand News 2024-06-05 | 80 years ago, the D-Day landings were unfolding on the beaches of Normandy. Almost 160,000 Allied troops were unloaded on the shores of Nazi-occupied France using the biggest-ever armada of troops, ships and planes.
