Welcome to Magg city, the place where your fantasies are fulfilled and your hopes die. This vast metropolis spans across nearly the entire globe, consuming almost all the natural landscape. Skyscrapers and Superstructures tower above everything, piercing through even the highest clouds. Heavy industry and steel has replaced rivers and lakes. what was once clean air is now a toxic smog, a thick haze that hangs over the city.
The lower districts are riddled with crime and gangs, leaving the upper levels with wealth and power. The working class grind day-in and day-out for their rations while the excessively rich gorge in lavish spoils and frivolities.
This is a steel desert. An endless expanse of rust. Chipped paint and neon lights. You can never leave this place. It has consumed everything.Design Stylized Sci-Fi 3D Characters Using Character Creator 4 & Cinema 4Dcalder moore2024-08-09 | Hey Guys! In this tutorial we cover how to make a realistic river scene using Octane for C4D(though any software(Blender,Maya, etc) would work!). We go through establishing our base river scene, then go through the process of creating a wet looking river bed and a realistic water shader. then we go through the process of bringing the scene together by creating scatter systems for falling leaves, and leaves built up along the rocks and logs along the river. We then finish the scene with adding some fog to create depth and adjust some lighting to make a pleasing scene. After we get our final renders and Depth passes we then go into photoshop and polish up the scene to a final finished piece!Creating Cliffs using Octane and Cinema 4D | PROMOcalder moore2020-04-13 | In this tutorial We go over how to create cliffs using Photoscanned materials In Octane and C4D(though any software(blender, maya, etc) would work!). we go through creating our base geo and setting up deformers to give it a natural look, then go through the process of layering duplicates of the terrain to create a nice blend of soil and cliff. Next we play with the cliff material to dial in the cliffs and get the most out of the photoscanned materials. we then bring in our scatter systems, fog and render out our scene. to finish off the tutorial we go into photoshop and bring our scene to life using various techniques including using the zdepth pass as a mask for layering up our painted on fog and adjustments layers to make our scene pop!
NOTE: This tutorial will be included for free as a bonus in my full scene creation course!

This tutorial covers my entire process of how I go about creating my landscape scenes in Octane/C4D. We cover everything from establishing a scene with all our plants/shaders, to building a complete scene and bringing the final result to life in Photoshop.

I've my updated way of using octane scatter systems to get a more realistic looking natural dispersion of plants, as well as way easier to customize and adjust to fit every scene. We also go over the techniques of layering multiple ground planes to get rid of that tiling and bring a more unique look to our ground.
