Ambiance - Old Aperture Ambiance #001 (Portal 2) fanta 2013-07-30 | Located approximately 4500m underground in a vast disused salt mine in Upper Michigan, little is known about Aperture other than it was abandoned and sealed in the 1980s. It is now in a serious state of collapse and access is strictly prohibited because of the dangers of falling debris and increased radiation levels detected near the surface. A small research team was recently allowed exclusive access for 2 hours to the 4.5km deep control room. One researcher reported hearing the continuous echo of distant falling debris and they were astonished to find working electrical equipment and could breathe unaided. A giant ventilation duct was still in operation but they were unable to trace the power source in the limited time they had. Further plans to investigate the facility have since been planned due to radiation levels being lower than expected. A single photograph and an audio recording have been leaked to the public. To this day, nobody really knows what happened down there. Seriously though, It's just some old aperture ambiance recorded from Portal 2. Relax and enjoy.------------

This was recorded in the middle of an exceptionally hot summer after several weeks with no rainfall. The normally waterlogged peat bogs were bone dry. If you plan to visit the site yourself be sure that you know what you're doing.Sorry about the poor camera work. It wasn't a planned video but given the very rare dry condition of the moor I thought it was worth documenting, albeit with a phone camera. Edit: I trust that my previous self did the best that he could at the time, but my goodness, that "stabilization" software he used is trash. Ambiance - Old Aperture Ambiance #002 (Portal 2) fanta 2017-04-03 | After several years and many delays, the research team have finally been back to Michigan to learn more about the mysterious origins and inner workings of Aperture. This time they reportedly ventured far beyond the main control room into extremely unstable and treacherous areas. Our insider described this part of the facility as having an "eerie and unnerving feel". When asked to expand on his feelings he simply added "It felt like it was alive". He reported very strong air currents and gale force winds in some areas. Huge chains could be heard swinging high above with broken light fixtures and other hunks of metal attached to them. False floors had given way revealing seemingly bottomless pits. We were told that several recordings had been made while they were down there but we would only be given access to one of them. When questioned further about the other recordings our insider had no comment and said he had to leave. An old USB stick was left behind on the table.
