It's not for sympathy, but to offer insight into why I am who I am, why I write the songs I do, and why I struggle to believe in my own music and self-worth.

I want to make one thing abundantly clear: I am now a very strong woman in a loving marriage. I am my husband's QUEEN, and he is proof that good people still exist.

But it hasn't always been this way. For years, I endured unspeakable horrors – physical, verbal, and emotional abuse that left me shattered and questioning who I am. Every day, my abuser would drill into me that I wasn't good enough, that I was worthless. The scars of his cruelty, the violence, the pain still linger, manifested in how I perceive compliments and feedback on my music and confidence in who I am as a woman.

Leaving wasn't easy. It took eight attempts before I broke free from his grip. And I know I'm not alone. There are countless others trapped in the same kind of nightmare, feeling suffocated by only darkness.

Yet, despite the trauma that never truly leaves us, there is hope. There are people who understand your pain because they've lived it too. You are not alone, and you are not powerless.

This song is for you – the survivors who've painstakingly pieced themselves back together, bit by bit. It's a reminder that you are stronger than you realize, capable of breaking free from the evil that haunted you for so long.

And to my abuser, know this: you held a gun to my head, pulled the trigger, stabbed me, you broke my jaw, but you didn't destroy me. You only made me stronger – strong enough to help others escape monsters like you.
