Fanmade Trailer Contest (RESULTS) Jemmicins 2010-05-28 | (Looks a bit like an intro to X Factor or something, no?) Sorry it took me this long to upload the results, but I actually forgot about the contest! XD My bad. Anyway, they're here now, so, lets get to it, do it! I think I included everyone who entered on the mentions part, sorry that bit sounded like a stuck record, but it was the only way to get you all in!! So many entered, and I'm really pleased with that ;) The Runners Up (including second and third place): I know I didn't include the whole of your videos, but I just wanted to show everyone your best bits!! Critiques: tranceart -- The music was great and you fitted everything to the beat perfectly and I ESPECIALLY loved how you displayed the title. The only real thing I would say that could be improved here is use of font. I know this is the official font for the movie - and, don't get me wrong, it looked great when the title came up - but I think it was quite difficult to read when you used it on the captions and that makes it look slightly less professional. But keep it up!! Timing here was AMAZING! amylouise1: Again, font was an issue here, you changed it a couple of times and the twirly lettering doesn't look very pro, but just look at the clip I showed of yours in this video, it can be summed up in one, simple word: EPIC! And a gazillion times better than the original trailer for this movie, you definitely did it justice! Lillzum93 -- Voice overs are incredible here and they go amazingly well with the clips, it's a great mix of digetic and non digetic and you blended the varying sound clips really well over all, but the very last one, when you change to Journey to the Past doesn't quite sound right, but I know editing sound can be extremely difficult to do, so well done! Third Place: NikkiJayne060490 -- You built up a great amount of tension in the beginning of your trailer. I like how you used black and white and your captions are great and consistent. Second Place: SuperGirlShayera -- I just love it! Everything about it is just brilliant :) You worked with the beats of the music impeccably well and the voice overs are very powerful and evocative. Well done. First Place: Lillzum93 -- I don't think I could fault a single thing in this epically superb trailer. Everything you selected worked perfectly with out giving too much of the story away but showing enough to make me WANT to watch the film. It's a great length too, it is easy to drag on with a trailer and show too much, but you didn't. Really well done, girl!!

It's my first Live Action Crossover and my first adaptation from a book, well, kinda more of an interpretation than an adaptation, but, you get the idea :) I really wanted to do a Jace/Clary video since I read the books around Christmas and I wanted to read the books ever since I first saw RubberDuckInc (MundaneMuggle) use the characters in her videos, especially (and it's STILL my ALL TIME FAVORITE) her 'A Twist In My Story' Multifandom video. Love your work hon! Keep it up!! This video is mainly to test manipulations - which I tried to come up with on my own - and, I think... I actually did okay... The masking is a bit iffy, I admit, but, yeah, all in all, I'm pretty pleased with the finish. I wanted it to be pretty arty, like the song :) And the song, just WOW! Isn't it beautiful! If you haven't read The Mortal Instruments (by Cassandra Clare) series then you probably wouldn't understand to what extent this song is totally and utterly perfect for the books!! Please read them!! They're AWESOME!! This particular video is based (mostly) around City of Ashes I guess, which kinda happened by accident... Which is weird, because CoA is actually my least favorite in the series.. It's like the 'Meet the Girls' volumes hosted by KitakLaw but this is called meet the pets hosted by Scurvied this time! :D So I chose Nala as my pet becuase The Lion King was my favorite movie EVER when I was a kid, it made Lions my favorite animals and also made me want to travel to Africa one day! I used this song because it think it's really up beat and cute and also because I think it represents a pet and owner relationship really well if you just listen to the lyrics, like, 'No one else can heal my pain', it think that is really significant as your pets can just give you a affectionate look or a caring lick that just makes you feel a whole lot better! :D I know my dog does anyway.. My friend left for Oz yesterday and as soon as she went I started making this... I am represted by Ariel and she is Cinderella, which is weird because she has the most beautiful red hair and I am blonde so it's the wrong way round, but ut;s just a representative so... I am so proud of this so far as it is.. well, it's me. I love the textures here, I was trying a new way to add the textures so it's a bit crap on this preview but it looks good now, I think. As you probably know, I usually put 'Enjoy. Rate ect' but I'm not going to on this one because, well, to be honest, I don't care what people think of this one as it's far too important and personal to me. Argh So I had to render it in little chuncks then render it all in one peice. Took hours!! And I just watched it an have realised that he mucks up the timing for a little while!! But for you.. anything!! Right then. I started this when I was so depressed, like serious. My friend wanted to take me to the doctors and everything.. but, let's not go into that.
