Heres Why | An original song in MSM Composer (SOAC #16) Cashcorn 2025-04-04 | Can't believe it's been 7 months since the last SOAC song! That means this is the first one of the year! You might have noticed that this song has a number at the end of it, well so do the rest of the SOAC songs now!Speaking of new changes, I want to do something new in these descriptions. Sometimes I try out new things like in:- Don't Tattle On Me cover where I used the sheet music as a visual for the first time- GLS where I did camera pans for the first time- Credit where I did typography for the first time- The Final Fleet where I did keyframing for the first time- Enchanted which was my first full music video to utilize Composer 2.0 for visual effectsWell for this song there's 3 new things I've been tinkering with:- The BIGGEST being the discovery of fake octave jumps. MSM Composer has some notes you can't reach, which is why I've developed a new technique to reach these notes! Basically, if you get a high register monster like Fung Pray, combine that with a lower register monster like Sox, and the Fung Pray plays an octave lower than Sox, once the Fung Pray reaches the note Sox can no longer reach, Sox will go down an octave and the transition will be seamless.- Typically what I've done since the release of 2.0 is make one audio track and then make visuals to go with it. However this time, everything you hear is what you see. Basically, every cut you see is the same visual and audio cut.- The least important is I'm experimenting with camera rotations. I should be careful with this as it can easily get out of hand lolAnd that's all of them! I don't expect the lists will always be this long but I guess that's what 7 months of no SOAC gives you. I plan for the next song to be Something Original (aka the GLS remake). No lyric video this time because this song's lyrics are very lore heavy. You'll get to hear them one day, but now is not the time.
