The book takes place in a pre-universal formation called the ‘Kivouack,’ and follows a thrilling cast of characters as they negotiate the brutal politics of their society. The immediate plot revolves around a ‘Darwinian’ government in a tense battle against illegal trade, outside threats, and the up rise of a new institution of potential genetic downfall. The August Few is not a story about war, good or evil, heroes versus villains, but rather opposing political beliefs, clashing philosophies and the settling of these differences through various methods of increasing intensity as the story develops...
