CAROL BALDWIN BREAST CENTER AT STONY BROOK UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL – BULLET POINT DETAILS
➢ Gifts for patients - October, 2026 – Breast Cancer Awareness Month
➢ Donna and Fran will be assisting with this initiative
➢ Each patient will receive a wrapped gifted blanket – we will be delivering the blankets UNWRAPPED.
➢ 120 Blankets Needed
o Blanket Details
▪ 40x40 SQUARE BLANKETS ONLY – PLEASE MEASURE YOUR BLANKETS ACROSS THE CENTER.
▪ Acrylic Only – 3, 4 or 5 weight yarn
▪ Colors – Pink is not a requirement – Feminine/Happy Colors Only
▪ Ends must be tightly sewn in
▪ Motifs/Squares sewn together are not allowed
▪ No embellishments or fringe on blankets
▪ You do not need to wash your blankets – they will be washed by their commercial laundry service
➢ Blankets will be sent to:
o Donna Antignano, 17 Alpine Street, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776 - #SBCC MUST BE VISIBLY MARKED ON YOUR PACKAGE BEFORE SENDING. Suggestion is to use Pirate Ship – Saves $$$$
➢ Juan will host a live showcase on his channel with Donna and Fran.
➢ DEADLINE: ALL PACKAGES MUST BE POSTMARKED BY AUGUST 15TH. Please send the blankets as soon as you finish so we can assess meeting this goal.
BONUS: You can use any pattern for these blankets as long as they are the correct size, however, if you do use a JTYA pattern, you will be entered into a special drawing for a prize(s) for each blanket sent to Donna.
