Today I am going to cover 7 UNBREAKABLE rules to Youtube Growth, these are the things you NEED to be doing if you want to grow a consistent and sustainable Youtube channel!
If you don’t follow these rules your channel will struggle, it will be unpredictable, it can stagnate and that means it won’t help you grow your Twitch stream despite putting all that work in.
Everything I will tell you about today is the core of how I create content on this channel, it is how I started uploading weekly in August 2020, and by October 2020, we had hit 1000 Subscribers, monetized the channel, and as of writing this description, we are bringing in 400 new subs a day, and have 60150 subscribers.

How Long Should Youtube Videos Be?
If you want to grow on Youtube, as I have said before, having a clickable video is KEY to all of that but having an engaging video is KING of everything. I have mentioned previously that Youtube cares about retention rates more than anything.
If you have two videos that both get 100 views, and both have a 50% retention rate but one of them is 10 minutes and another is 20 minutes. The 20-minute video has 1000 minutes of watch time, but the 5-minute video only has 500 minutes of watch time. The higher watch time video will often perform better.
That said, don’t make long videos for the sake of it, you should instead make engaging videos with good content, as well as use hooks and loops. A hook is what I use at the start of my videos to intrigue you and get you keen to hear more, and a loop is where I mention that something else you’re interested in is coming up soon. This helps to boost the retention rate. A Youtube Video should aim to be as long as you can maintain your audience's attention.

If I am starting out, I aim to go after topics with low search competition, and low to medium search volume, this is easier to appear at the top of the search results when somebody looks up the question.
Make education content on the topic you want to grow in, if you are a Stardew Valley streamer then you can make videos about “How To Install Mods In Stardew Valley” or “Best Greenhouse Layout For Stardew Valley” or if you are a speedrunner for something like Super Mario Odyssey or Legend of Zelda, “How To Speedrun Super Mario Odyssey - Cap Kingdom Tutorial”
The style of this video is similar to Alpha Gaming and Gaming Careers in parts. A large influence on this series has come from content creators like VidIQ and Nutty.
