Ultralight Backpacking Film: Into The Sipsey Wilderness (2017 Alabama Trip) Wacky Wednesday’s Tea In The Trees 2017-05-19 | ~::LINKS/GEAR LIST/MAILING ADDRESS BELOW::~We set out to record a full length indie film about a trail system we love. Remaining as true to ourselves as possible, we filmed a lot of comedy, a ton of smiles, & hiked 40+ miles. Our hearts were poured into this trip and the creation of this film. We held nothing back for the camera, just acted the way we do in day to day life. We Made An Earl Grey Hard Tea Mead @ 19% ABV (Shadow Moon Meadery) Tea In The Trees 2021-02-24 | This is one my proudest moments. A kitchen experiment in a jar. One of the smoothest things I've ever brewed. Aged version eventually, but dang is this one sassy sweet ABV bomb! Notes: A blend of Earl Grey, English Breakfast Tea, raw sugar cane, and honey come together in an insanely strong, sweet, Hammer To The Head! Fermented fast and not age at all. Snake Rescue at Starlight Meadow Tea In The Trees 2020-08-12 | A farm I work in and help take care of as a volunteer had a snake issue in one of it's barns. I came in and rescued the three Garter Snakes before they fed on poisoned rat pups from the clean out and poisoning of the barn to get it ready for rental. All creatures matter, reptiles included.

Pretty much the only things that haven't changed are our Osprey packs, Big Agnes UL 3 tent, & our Klymit UL pads.HISTORY OF THE SIPSEY:The Sipsey Wilderness lies within Bankhead National Forest around the Sipsey Fork of the Black Warrior River in northwestern Alabama, United States. Designated in 1975 and expanded in 1988, the 24,922-acre Sipsey is the largest and most frequently visited Wilderness area in Alabama and contains dozens of waterfalls. It was also the first designated wilderness area east of the Mississippi River.West Bee FallsThe wilderness consists of the low plateau of Brindlee Mountain which is dissected into a rough landscape by several creeks and rivers. Due to the layers of limestone and sandstone that make up the area, waterfalls are very common in the wilderness.[2] This feature has earned the wilderness the nickname "Land of 1000 Waterfalls."The wilderness is in the Appalachian mixed mesophytic forests ecoregion. Much of the wilderness was once logged, but new growth forests have now taken hold in the logged areas. Some old-growth forests can also be found in the wilderness. The most significant are about 260 acres along Bee Branch Gorge and Buck Rough Canyon, which include old Eastern Hemlock, American Beech, Sweet Birch, White Oak, and Tulip Poplar. Backpacking The West Rim Trail (A Wildlife Filled Day 1) Tea In The Trees 2016-09-01 | Our first day out on the West Rim Trail (W.R.T.) in Pennsylvania's Northern Region. The Pine Creek Gorge, also known as the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, is an amazing area. The wildlife in this area is thriving in a big way. We saw Black Bears, Whitetail Deer, Eastern Diamondback Rattlers, Newts, Frogs, Toads, Turkey, Hawks, Falcons, Bald Eagles, and many other species. It was an amazing trip, with highs and lows.We finished 23.4 miles of this 30.5 mile trek for our first trip up. It was an adventure. If you decide to head up here, please give our Outfitter a shout.
