Fury of the Storm Expert Drums 100% FC [World Record] Beatstruck 2015-12-18 | My ScoreHero post pretty much sums this up:Wow, has this been an ordeal. After three wasted FCs because of a faulty kit (including my worst 100% overhit ever), this was looking to be TTFAF all over again and I decided to rent the same E-kit I had 4 years ago in hope of having a less frustrating grind, in addition to having a fair chance at going for 1sts again. It took me a good while to figure out why this kit was having issues too, but I found and fixed the problem a few weeks back and the grind was on again. Some days it clicked better than others, but having either a couple of 'chokes' past the blasts or not even FCing up to the blasts was equally draining and I felt less and less motivated to grind this song out, especially since I virtually FCed the song before. Today was a good day, though. I had two 'chokes' past the blasts in one hour and I got the FC not long after. This gives me the long-awaited GH:WoR Full Game FC and Full Game 1st place!
WORST OVERHIT CHOKE EVER | Fury of the Storm XDrums 100% Beatstruck 2015-10-02 | Next video: "Watch me burn my kit :D"I'm laughing at how much I should've expected this to happen. This has got to be the worst thing that ever happened to me in all of GH. I've had similar 'chokes' on Purple Haze, Scream Aim Fire etc., but this takes the cake BY FAR. It was my red pad that randomly overhit again btw, and my second time 100%'ing this song.
Fury of the Storm XDrums Virtual FC #1 (Fury indeed) Beatstruck 2015-09-24 | Aaaaand, there it is. With the way my kit has been acting up lately, I expected this grind to go down the same way as TTFAF's, which had 4 FCs wasted because of pads dropping/overhitting. My red pad drops notes very easily if I don't hit it perfectly in the center and caused one miss (4:11) in arguably the easiest part of the song. To add insult to injury, no amount of tuning will help me; it was also the pad that caused the overhit earlier (3:00)I'm as consistent with this song as I'll ever be, so let's hope this FC won't take 2 months.

Easily one of the hardest fills I've ever FCed in GH. I must've missed it 20-30 times before hitting it 3 times in a row lmao. I will probably make a Note Shuffle fill compilation at some point.

Fury of the Storm Expert Drums Progress Beatstruck 2015-07-30 | Learning to do the blasts with two feet was hard as fuck, but I've been quite consistent with them today. I must've hit the intro blasts about 15 times by now. As you can see, my green pad is prone to dropping notes if I don't hit it hard enough. The FC should come within due time though; my best so far is -3.
Beast and the Harlot Expert Drums 100% (re-)FC [World Record] Beatstruck 2015-07-03 | Yusss, finally got this on video! I've been consistent enough with the drum solo today (was able to hit it about 50% of the time) that I sat down for some serious grinding and got it after choking 3 times. Two of them I can't really count as chokes, since I missed "that other hard part", but my second one was a hilarious miss on one of the bass notes subsequent to the drum solo because of re-adjusting my position . I FCed this song immediately after 'choking' on the fast fill and had a reverse choke when recording the hands view, which makes for a total of 3 drum solo FCs in consecutive runs!Also, TTFAF is a bitch and much harder than this song. Though, to be fair, I technically already FCed it twice - kit mishaps aside.
[First ever insane GH5 squeezing!] Song 2 Expert Drums | 100% FC, Global 1st place Beatstruck 2015-06-28 | 1:03 for optimal activation.These activations were second nature to me in GH:WT, but are just barely doable in post-WT games. It requires abusing the leniency of hitting the cymbals when activating on a cymbal note, so that you hit the charted cymbal outside of the corresponding note's timing window and hit the non-charted cymbal inside the timing window while still hitting them within a small enough time-frame so that the game recognizes it as an activation - instead of two overhits. This results in the charted cymbal note counting under SP, while still leaving the possibility of a back-end squeeze.
Through the Fire and Flames Expert Drums 100% NOT FC T_T Beatstruck 2015-05-14 | I'm not even mad, but I'll be damned if I'm not crazy enough to try and FC this song under these conditions. Overhits at 1:57, 2:33 and 2:35; all kit malfunctions.

I could actually finish songs without it messing up if I were careful with my hits - and whereas 21CSM has been one of a handful of songs I never FC'ed on video back in the days, this was the perfect opportunity to get back into GH to try and finish up whatever loose ends I had left in these games. Mordecai Expert Drums GS 99% 288k (Rock Band 2) Beatstruck 2012-01-07 | Hey guys, it's been a while! I recently bought a cheap BH kit so I could play GH/RB again and downloaded a bunch of RBN songs like this one. My kit sucks though; the red and green pads randomly drop notes every once in a while, so I probably won't be going for any FCs. It's good to be playing again though, and who knows what I still might come up with. Now about this video: this is one of the songs I'd always wanted to play, but never gotten around to download (mostly because I hardly played RB). The intro is tough, but if I can get some more consistent with it, I could definitely get the FC... that is, if my kit stops randomly dropping notes. I don't know if I'm gonna be uploading more videos soon, since christmas break is almost over, but I'll try to, every now and then :)

I figured it was time to start uploading some more videos before summer break's over, so I'm trying to get all remaining FCs on video now. All of them?! Yes, but I don't have that much songs left :P I currently have 398/403 FCs in the entire GH series, with Fury of the Storm, Space Truckin', Chemical Warfare, Through the Fire and Flames and Bat Country left for a FSFC. I have gotten -1 runs on both CW and TTFAF during the past couple of weeks, so you can expect those FCs soon! I might also try re-FCing Beast and the Harlot on video, but my priority is to get to 400 FCs before I'm returning my E-kit next week. About the song itself: Hot for Teacher is easily one of the hardest FCs in GH:VH (although nowhere near Space Truckin') and a lot harder than the GH:WT version, due to the smaller timing window. I had several outro chokes, but this didn't take me too long after some practising :)
Laser Cannon Deth Sentence Expert+ Drums | 1 Foot, 383 NS Beatstruck 2011-08-03 | This is it guys... when I have to return my electronic drums next month, I won't have any working drum kit left and I'll be going on a forced (though not entirely involuntary) hiatus. I won't have enough play-time left when the holidays are over, so I don't want to spend money on (renting) a working drum kit if I'm only gonna play a few hours a week. I'll be taking one last request, which will be a song picked by the winner of this contest!Laser Cannon Deth Sentence has the fastest bass in any GH song, but I've been able to consistently combo large portions of it on Expert+, using only 1 foot! I've been getting comfortable with a new technique for playing fast bass notes, and I'm really surprised it didn't take me very long (just 1-2 hours) before I could control my foot at speeds this high. I used to have a hard time even with songs as "If You Want Peace... Prepare for War" or "This Day We Fight!" (unless I was having a good day), so I've literally been playing with a huge grin on my face today, knowing that I'm finally able to do stuff like this! :)As for the contest itself: the point is to get the best note streak you can get on this song, on Expert+, using only 1 foot! No, Im not dead. Getting better at WAHNTHAC instead! Beatstruck 2011-06-07 | Wow, it's been ages! I've been really busy with school and other stuff IRL and my kit has suffered to the point I can't play GH anymore, but I just wanted to let you guys know I'm still around and haven't entirely given up on rhythm gaming yet. I've been playing RB2 with a half-assed yellow cymbal, a very old green GH:WT pad, a blue GWM pad with damaged mesh and a decent red pad. I'm not sure where I'll go from here (obviously, I'll try getting the GS on this song before my kit's beyond repair), but hopefully I'll be able to get a few more videos up during summer break. As for this song, I've FCed the first part of the solo twice now and I've been getting better at the blasts, so I have no doubt I'll get the GS. I dare even say, if I get a new (electronic) kit, the FC might be possible! (provided I actually get the time to play)

War Ensemble Full Band FC soon? (BassDrumVox -2) Beatstruck 2010-12-16 | Shade couldn't make it to BQP, so we decided to try a few runs with just the three of us. This was only our third try today(!), while this session was our first time playing together as well. Ptv had one miss on bass (+ two overstrums), and I only missed once this run as well. I got unlucky at the end though, when my kit overhit multiple times. I had two other -1 runs during single player career today as well, so I'll be damned if we don't get this FBFC anytime soon, if Ptv and Shade can be consistent at their parts.

Getting 1st on this song took me quite a while: I was going for the regular bass squeeze, but came short 200 points on my first re-FC and 100 points on my second one to get 1st. I literally said "screw this, I'm going for the optimal squeeze now!", and got both the front-end *and* back-end squeeze the first try I made it to the outro. I was getting more and more consistent with Vicarious, but this run I missed some random red note during Solo Break 1 (1:58). I didn't understand what happened there, but I decided to finish the song and possibly get a new highscore. Obviously, I FC'ed the rest of the song and ended up with a -1. Phew, finally got this out of the way. This FC marks 83/84 on GH:WT for me, with only Vicarious left for a FGFC. I finally got somewhat consistent with Solo 1B (2:15) and got the FC a couple of days later. Solo 1B is still the hardest part in the song for me, while the only other hard parts are Solo 2A-2B (3:07 and on), although I'd gotten pretty consistent with those. I finally figured out why I had so much trouble with Solo 1B in Purple Haze - the fast (GO)(GO)Bass part - (which was simply a lag issue, I have to play it slightly ahead of time to FC it) and tried some random runs on the full song. I randomly FC'ed past Solo 1B after only a few tries and was convinced I'd miss somewhere during Solo 2A or 2B... but I managed to pull through and FC'ed up to the guitar solo as well. I started recording (I was really not expecting to get an FC after only a few runs) and spammed the pads like crazy during the freestyles. Only a few sustains were left to finally get a Purple Haze FC, which I hit as well... but my kit disagreed and thought it'd be cool to hit an extra note during one of the sustains; 6 notes from the end of the song x_x. Yet another FC down the drain due to a kit malfunction! However, this 100% + overhit got me a GH:WT Expert Drums FG100% (as I've had a 100% on Vicarious for over half a year now), which is definitely my most non-accomplishment so far!
