Well, i'm glad to finally have this out, I've been working on it for a long time (I started this level in 2.1). I don't usually make art levels so this was out of my comfort zone. I'm pretty happy with the result but I do a little bit regret making it just because I feel a little bit like I wasted my time and it took a little bit of a toll on me.. but maybe that will change in the future. I hope you all enjoy it.

well here it is, i am finally done with this level even after restarting it from the ground up, there might be a couple bugs due to device inconsistencies but i'm working to iron those out. i hope u all enjoy and maybe i will make an explanation video if i feel like it

i have not done much minigame stuff before 2.2 so making stuff like this is useful for me in learning these new triggers. creating this lvl came with some challenges, the most annoying being physics inconsistencies (yap sesh incoming) -- i play GD on a macbook, and robtop has not pushed an update past 2.200 for macos, which crashes on many lvls, has data saving issues, and worst for here has old platformer physics which are still slippery, meaning the lvl plays completely differently between 2.200 and newer versions. so i thought the lvl played fine but it sucked and to fix it i had to play on my phone over and over . the fact that it hasnt been updated is pretty baffling to me especially as robtop continues to delay it, as he said it would be 2 weeks from end of march and now its mid may. but i digress, it is not that bad anyway. the part that upsets me is that i basically cant play platformer extremes, many are impossible or stupid difficult. wow idk why i had so much to say there. i might make an explanation video for this lvl if i feel like it but tbh im not sure if it warrants it. maybe i will do it for another thing im working on that hopefully no one does before me xdd but its hard to record these type of video because of limited privacy and poor mic quality.

i also want to say tho that obj count means little for optimization, especially as we go into 2.2. i only really build low obj stuff for fun/novelty. of course it can be a useful tool for lowering lag in designs and such but yea i just have felt obligated to mention it.
also i just finished up my semester and i will try to be more on gd stuff during the summer.
here is my lil .com quirk made over last couple days (april 29 to may 1). i have this bad habit of procrastinating work by working on stuff so you'll never guess what happened here. i just finished that essay tho. but yeah if ur not in the know .com is not really optimal for quirk but i'm on a mac which means i can't use lra builds unless i go to a dual boot which i find pretty annoying and only do it on rare occasions to play games. either way doing this stuff on .com is still just kind of a fun challenge. learned a couple new tricks here (kram curves/rolls with stabilizers) and cleaned up flings a little bit but my flings are still kinda trash. ideally it'd probably be better if i worked on something like this slowly rather than rush like here

made this over the last couple days during my spring break. i like this song quite a bit and this album even more, having stuff done/in the works from is is giving me visions of an album track, haha, but it'd be a ways away. i'm working on a geometry dash level to one of the songs and it's probably gonna take a while for me to finish it. regardless, i'm pretty happy with how this turned out
I actually ended up winning the competition, guessing the creators 8 of the 10 submitted tracks correctly. I had a lot of fun both making a track to submit and trying to figure out who made each one, though I actually had a ton of schoolwork during the detective stage which definitely made the experience more stressful (I think I've written about 5k words for essays in the last week, and I'm a fuckin computer science major), but I ended up being the biggest tryhard anyway.

well i cant believe we're living in this time, where 2.2 is actually going to come out, so i wanted to make a compilation video of my 2.1 stuff. i chose this song cus its in romos magic touch and also its just a good song. its crazy how much of my life gd has taken up, 2.1 came out when i was like 12, and now im 19 so its crazy that we're getting a new update since i've been playing gd this whole time. thank u all for supporting my work, i dont rlly have much else to say , well at least i cant think of anything right now lol. not sure how much im gonna do in 2.2, which is SO SOON, although hopefully i can keep up with the new editor and getting ideas. a gift to us all will probably not be finished before then , and i've started up another lr thing... stay tuned ;3

welp, here it is! the gimmick of this lvl is that it's a 2-player lvl intended to be completed by one person. main focus here is the gp, might be my best but i accidentally made it look good, this is actually the first time ive gone over the obj limit, i didnt mean to but i had to fix a visual bug ..
to those playing the lvl, it might seem a bit broken at first , but it should be possible, try using space bar and up arrow as input, messing with making sure ur clicking on the right side of the screen if ur using mouse, mess with always limit controls settings, and mess with flip 2p input settings, it should work one way or another.

i had fun making this but i've been very busy and haven't had much time to build, luckily this only took me about a week even with the being busy. i wanted to make an entry for this contest that was going from top to bottom instead of bottom to top and idk why no one else did that, and i also made this only 25sec. i tried to make the gp fun and incorporate verticality into it. i also had a hard time coming up with the name as i do with every level hopefully this will do lol. anyway hope u all like it :)

someone on twitter asked me what my hardest was, which made me remember i haven't gotten a new hardest in a while so i picked this up yesterday because i beat swirl by team zero a bit ago and liked the song and this level has been on my mind a lil bit since then.
im not really sure if this is my hardest though, because im not sure if its harder than my level dont look dont speak which is technically my hardest even though its not rated. dlds took me more attempts but alot of those were probably playtesting, but also i beat this from 87 whereas with that i died a bunch of times at the end. its definitely harder than my rated demon hardest, though, which is i love lasagna by koko43. either way it's nice to have a 60hz hardest again (with vsync as well), because i beat ill on 120 and dlds on 180, but it was barely noticeable in this level because its very 60hz friendly.
deco opinions: i think the deco in this level (made by cordeaux) is pretty good. in the endscreen you can see that the level is dedicated to para gecko and zeptrus and i think thats who the level is inspired by. (guesses for each part: pastebin.com/w1jF3gMv). i'm usually not crazy for design style but i like it here more than i usually do, it's something about cord's style, i think it's the way effects are mixed in well, the structuring is unique, and the colors are pretty. my favorite part visually is definitely the last part. it manages to fit the shift in the music really well without being too distinctive from the rest of the level design-wise. this part of the song is just really pretty and the minimalism, the colors, the flowers, and the movements, ugh it just all works together rlly well. at first i thought the screen border usage was a little cheesy but it's grown on me, i think it accentuates the minimalism. real good job here
gp opinions: the gameplay's also pretty good (made by scorpsi). i have to start off by saying in that last ship there's a bug at 85 that kills you randomly, i think it's supposed to stop orb skips, it's very annoying and should be patched especially so far into the level. regardless fast paced stuff isnt usually my skillset and im not that great at learning click patterns but it went pretty well here and it was actually pretty fun to learn. my biggest complaint is that there are a lot of chokepoints that don't feel intentional, and what i mean by that is that they were not in the original layout (youtu.be/6yeC3Sxw4qw). speculating here but i think a lot of the chokepoints come from extra structures placed to make the screen more full but maybe the level was supposed to be buffed. after all in the video description of the layout scorpsi said they would want it to be buffed. im glad it wasnt buffed to extreme demon because then uh i wouldnt have been able to beat it but also bc the few timings in here are pretty annoying. the blue orb at 37% where structures were added that weren't in the layout is basically rng and the ball after it has pretty weird and specific timings. all of the little portal sections in the last ship are kind of annoying but the last one at 93 is the worst imo and i have no idea how i didn't die there, idk if that's a skill issue or a 60hz issue. there are also a couple clicks throughout the level that are pretty annoying but would make the level better IMO if they were buffers. first spider basically becomes memory as well with the deco (even with indicators) which i found a little tedious but manageable. but these are all minor nitpicks in an otherwise very solid gp.
