【Roze】His Theme (Slow Version) - Undertale Vocal Cover SPOILERS @EternityRoze

I've been obsessing over this game so much lately; the music, the characters, the humor, the emotion... ;w; Every time I listen to Undertale music, I end up just looping it for hours; one of my favorite pieces is "His Theme". It carries a simplistic melodic theme, but the build up and addition of variations just captivates my heart, especially after knowing the story.

So one day while I was listening to the piece again, I thought "You know, a lot of different melodies could go well over this piece... hmm I wonder if it would sound good all mashed together"
I had different ideas in mind and experimented with lyrics and pitches and before I knew it, this vocal cover came together :D

In short, a lot of the lyrics were pulled from the game dialogue for more impact, and the rest including the main vocals near the end were written by me. Repetition of the vocal melodies represents Asriel's jumbled recollections and the confusion going on inside his mind; and of course, the first lyric/dialogue starts with his motto "In this world it's kill or be killed" also since it was one of the first phrases he said to you. I feel tempted to write an analysis of my overlaying composition, but for now I'll just let you guys discover the ideas inserted in this entirety.
In addition, I came across a beautiful picture by Verlidaine portraying that raw emotion;; She did a wonderful job so give her some love~
And of course, let's give Asriel some love too ♥

Eternity Roze 2024-09-02 | Hey everyone! This is a project that I have been wanting to do for YEARS now, and I am so excited that I was finally able to get all the resources I needed to finish this upload!

My voice has become out of practice over the years and I have felt disheartened that my voice isn't what it used to be. So I decided to have 3 lovely voices complement me for heavier songs! After much searching and listening to a lot of voice demos from SynthV, I decided to create a metal-ish focused female group with Solaria, Eleanor Forte AI and Stardust Infinity! Operating under the name Rose of Thorns because I think it's cute for now haha.

I've listened to a bunch of covers using these voices, but I haven't heard a lot, if any, with heavier rock/metal music, but I hear the potential in the voices and decided to experiment!

I will probably create a new channel to feature more of these videos.
And with that, enjoy: Solaria's soft and belting vocals! Eleanor Forte's screams, Stardust Infinity's deeper more mature voice! And Roze :)

This song is near and dear to my heart. I wrote it many moons ago and left it undisturbed to rest, but every time I hear it again, it hits like the first time.

This year has been an incredibly difficult battle for me. I wrestled with diagnoses, severe bouts of suicidal ideation, massive swings in my depression and anxiety...and somewhere in that jumbled mess, I found what love means to me. Love is forgiveness. Compassion. But most of all, love is selfish.

There are times when love will be enough, and there are times when it doesn't feel worth it. Today (and hopefully every day moving forward), I choose myself. I relinquish that desperate, all-consuming passion I buried in you, and I bequeath it unto myself instead.

I am honored to have this humble little ramble of a song brought to life by someone as skillful as Roze. It's not our first time working together nor will it be our last, but I am still gobsmacked every time I give her my measly, watered-down drafts and she fleshes it out into something breathtaking and magical. Also a big thank you to those who suffered through my incessant need for feedback and my absolute naivety with drawing. Nothing here is perfect, but I find that things rarely ever are. I could polish a piece for decades, and I would still find something lacking. So, what I offer instead is my truth. My honesty and my raw, unfiltered emotions. May they strike you with the same fragile peace they brought me.

Never though I'd see that again; this was quite spontaneous too but that's always the most fun~ Long story short: Paj and I reconnected after years of being busy with life. And now that we're older, we've decided to take a trip down memory lane and revisit the nostalgic tunes that we used to sing together. This song was probably one of the first, if not *the first*, song we sang together 10 years ago (that has never been uploaded).

“Nia” - Original Epic Emotional Orchestral Music (Tower Of God Tribute)

Eternity Roze 2022-02-09 | **SLIGHT SEIZURE WARNING FROM 1:59 - 2:22**

For the best experience, listen to the piece starting at a moderate volume with headphones on! I was heavily inspired by Thomas Bergersen, more specifically the track “Breathe” by Two Steps From Hell. I was also inspired by the piece "Snowbelle City" and the composer Eric Whitacre. Let me know your thoughts and where you hear these influences throughout the composition :)

This is an original piece that I composed years ago as a tribute to the character Nia from the wonderful Webtoon comic called “Tower of God” by S.I.U. The author’s character and story-building is beautiful and there was one chapter in particular that stuck with me in season 2-- the chapter with Nia. This track was composed way before the anime came out, so it does reflect my own interpretation while reading the Webtoon. I won’t give out too many spoilers, so that’s all I’m going to say about the story, but I did create this video to follow the scene and that hints a little at it too.

On another note, I’ve decided to remake nearly all my previous original compositions but with the high quality sound that it deserves! The first remake was already uploaded called “Retrace”. I'll link at the end of the video. The upcoming uploads will be a combination of remakes, new original music, arrangements and collaborations featuring various vocalists!

Eternity Roze 2022-01-06 | This is what happens when you listen to both western music and Japanese/Vocaloid music. And truth be told, I feel like my audience is branched out to extremes because of the variety of my uploads haha (oops halp). Schoolwork made it difficult to upload the past months, but I managed to create a little something for fun for the new year!

This creation all started when I heard the song "Call You Mine" while I was at work, and as I listened to the chord progression, I thought it would work well with the song "Yuragi" by niki. It really was only supposed to be a mashup of those two songs, but then I created this monster instead. So I am therefore calling this project a mashup of my favorite songs/music artists that have forever been close to my heart since the beginning of my music journey. I've included a bit from the original song in respect as well. Wish I could've sang everything personally, but I still haven't been able to record lately so I've meticulously tuned my angels to do vocals for me ♡

Retrace (2021 Remake) - Original Emotional Haunting Music

Eternity Roze 2021-11-02 | I hope everyone had a great Halloween! 🎃

To celebrate, I remade my original track from 8 years ago-- back when I was still learning how to compose in high school! I can tell you that my composition skills in high school were very unorthodox and when I go back to transcribe the piece, I find myself in between thinking "Oh-no, why did I compose like that?!" and "Wow, how did I even come up with that?" Back then I used free midi and sound fonts on MuseScore which was not the best quality, so I plan to remake nearly all my old original tracks/arrangements to finally give it the sound quality it deserves :) You can hear the old 2013 version in the link below and at the end of the video for comparison~

This track in particular was first created with the inspiration to be in a horror rpg game, but in the end it lacked the horror factor.

Im Not A Vampire (Revamped) - Falling In Reverse (Remake ft. Eleanor Forte)

Eternity Roze 2021-10-06 | Due to last minute complications, my original upload for this month is going to be released later in the month so until then, I "finished" up this track as a little something extra!
Recently I've been trying out a new ear training challenge where I recreate a piece of music without referring to it or taking visual notes. When I first heard this version of the song, I loved it so much that I replayed it enough until I was familiar with how it sounded. So everything in this arrangement is from memory or music theory filling in the gaps, and when I got stuck (cough dominant 7th arpeggiation during the bridge cough), I added electronics so it didn't sound so empty haha. The addition of tuning Eleanor Forte's vocals were done as a test to hear how it sounded with vocals so that is why the vocals are incomplete.

But eventually I decided to wrap up the project and upload the final result because I wanted to hear the original song again haha. This isn't an exact replication but it was a fun motivational project when I had artist's block :) I'd love to livestream the process one day!

Terminal - END ROLL Tribute (Piano & Strings)

Eternity Roze 2021-09-01 | Surprise everyone! Roze has returned from the abyss yet again, and this time I'm trying to keep to an uploading schedule that I have already organized out; so the plan is to upload a video at the beginning of every month! :) There's so many unfinished music projects that I'd love to share with you all, so there will be plenty to come~

We're starting it off with a track I composed over a year ago, "Terminal"; A tribute to one of my favorite RPG games: End Roll.

This track was heavily inspired by the game's original track "Russell" composed by Segawa. I really tried to make this tribute follow the tone of the game while adding my own style to it. You can hear a theme from the game's original music enter in at 1:24 to the end. There, I had transposed the theme to another key and varied the chord progression to give it a new sound. It's not often that I get to compose in a waltz tempo haha. I was also inspired by Ludovico Einaudi while writing this piece, so you may hear that come through as well! The visual piano only shows the piano notes playing, not the string notes.

Snowbelle City - Arranged For Two Pianos (PokemonX/Y)

While transcribing the piece by ear, I originally was going to make it just another piano solo; but as I listened to the original soundtrack and all the counterpoint melodies entwined with it, I really wanted to capture all those elements that made the piece the magical, wintry Snowbelle City that it was. That was when I came across the idea to arrange it for two pianos instead!

My overall goal was to arrange the piece specifically for two pianos and not one piano with four hands. This would reap the benefits of two pianos that you would not be able to recreate as a piano solo; More importantly, in doing this, it would also highlight the countermelodies. If you're interested to performing this version, have fun playing the melody with the left hand! x)

Rozes Search For Vocal Power (6 Year Singing Transformation)

Eternity Roze 2019-06-26 | Showcasing my vocal progress over the years-- focusing particularly on my vocal strength/belting/projection. And yes, I even have recordings from when I was a toddler in there.

A little summarized story time here:

I started out with an incredibly soft-spoken voice. Everyone knew me for that. I was shy, quiet, lacked confidence and afraid to sing in front of everybody, including my family. It was to the point that I never considered myself a vocalist until just a couple years ago. Back then, when people asked me if I could sing, I would always reply, "Kind of... not really." I thought I would never learn how to belt, but I was determined and practiced by myself for *years*.

I choose snippets from these covers because in EVERY SINGLE ONE of these covers in this video, I truly believed I was "belting", because at that time, THAT was the extent of my abilities. I fluctuated a lot between unhealthy screaming and tightening my vocal cords and using too much throat to get that "belty" sound. The process was so very gradual for me, but improving upon myself as a person and practicing proper techniques eventually helped to build up to singing with that level of vocal intensity.

So even if you have a soft voice, or don't have the strength or confidence right now, you can definitely work up to it! You have it in you! :)

I've been wanting to share this for quite a long time now, but I never knew when the right time was, as I'm aware my journey is still ongoing, but now is as good a time as any. I will very likely make a future upload with a video of myself elaborating on this video and my vocal journey so far.

Roze has turned into an autotuned vocaloid yet again. I know it's been over a year since I've uploaded a vocal cover, but here's a little something to say thank you again to everyone supporting me and listening to my works! I've been feeling very unmotivated, so my music progress has been slacking... but what do you know, life hit me in the face and suddenly I felt the urge to channel those emotions. Seriously, we didn't spend much time recording at all.
And sad story. Roze has accidentally saved over her vocals (and she doesn't want to re-record) so her vocals are gone. Thus, you are blessed with a half-finished audio mix from the last render!

Fufu sounds beautiful. Iggy is loudly shouting for the first time ever. Kieran's screams/growls are finally being heard in this world. Roze is secretly a huge meme. Bring me to life!

On a more serious note: this was a very spontaneous collaboration that I wanted to do just for fun a year ago (Iggy and I actually recorded our vocals one year ago). That being said, enjoy~

Eternity Roze 2017-09-15 | Happy 2nd Birthday to Undertale!!

This collaboration project is finally finished! I would like to thank everyone who participated in this huge project; This couldn’t have been possible without every one of you! 23 people, 57 tracks/voices! (Mixing it in three days!) I think it's heartwarming to unite the fans of Undertale and those who love to sing, and expressing all of this together for this day~

Interpretations are open to the listener; When I re-listened to the lyrics of Shattered a year ago, it reminded me so much of Asriel that I just had to make this project happen. I hope everyone who participated enjoyed taking part :)

In the next upload, I’ll be talking more about my after-thoughts on this project as well as future large project collaborations~ So if you couldn’t join this project, there will be more to come!

Original Emotional Orchestral Music - Enstatued Wings feat. Selphy (Miseras Theme)

Eternity Roze 2017-08-25 | As promised in my last upload, here is the second track for the original story Beyond The Origin! This time we are featuring lovely vocals from Selphy~ I really wanted to capture the essence of one of the main characters in the story whose name is Misera; so I hope you enjoy meeting Misera and get a little glimpse into her life.

This is probably the first completed original vocal track that I have composed, and I'm very happy with how it turned out! A huge thank you to Aster (formerly known as Tuna) for helping me translate my lyrics to Italian! Just a reminder that I plan on releasing an album of all the tracks at a later date, and the instrumental of Enstatued Wings will be on there as well. I'll keep everyone updated!

Another fun little note: When Sinten asked me to compose for him, he mentioned inserting a little motif/theme that would resonate in all the tracks. So with that in mind, I've sneaked in that motif somewhere in this song. If you've heard the Opening Theme, you may be able to pick up where I subtly inserted that ;) Let me know where you think it is and I'll give you cookies!

I'm so excited to finally be able to share these tracks with you! This is one of the three commissioned tracks (so far) for the original story "Beyond The Origin" that I've been working on for the past year. Beyond The Origin is a work in progress story with accompanying artwork created by Sinten. It is going to be a grand adventure so follow his websites linked below for more details!

I noticed that a lot of my followers enjoy my orchestral works, so I hope you'll enjoy these upcoming original tracks, as I poured my heart into these :) I plan on releasing an album of all the tracks at a later date, so be on the lookout for that! Of course I'll update everyone on that as well!

【Roze】Smolder (regulus) English/Japanese Cover

Eternity Roze 2017-07-03 | It's been months but I've returned with a ballad ♥ I've loved this song from the moment I heard it. Regulus makes such beautiful, melodic music that I just had to cover more of his works~

I wrote English translyrics to this entire piece; then halfway through practicing the lines, I decided to perform half the song in English and half in Japanese for a stylistic effect. I'm very picky when it comes to writing English translyrics, so my translations (the first half of the song) are slightly altered to suit the style and provide a more natural flow in language.

【Roze】You And Beautiful World - Cover

Eternity Roze 2017-03-06 | This is basically an outlet of emotions for me.
I started this last year in April after a life-changing event transformed me into someone I didn't like; instead of wallowing up in all the emotions, I channeled them through to my music.

Unfortunately, all my progress was gone when my hard drive crashed, complicating things more, and I had to salvage what I could and recreate everything, which is why I'm just finally uploading this now. Thankfully enough, I had a file of my main vocals saved elsewhere that I could still work with, because I could definitely not replicate the emotions in my singing from a year ago. All the photos included were taken by myself; I wanted to remind myself and others of the "beauty" in this world, to appreciate the small things around you.. even when you're going through hard times.

I heard this lovely song by EmpathP a couple months ago and noticed that there were already a few covers up, so I wanted to provide a different presentation. So me loving sad emotional orchestral music, I decided to recreate the song with a slightly different interpretation of the piece- to capture the haunting side of Undertale as well.

【Roze】Sign 0 (Chouchou) Cover

Eternity Roze 2016-10-11 | Last upload you heard me using my lower register (attempt genderbend-ish), now we're going back to what I was first known for as a vocalist: soft, cuter toned vocals. Although in this cover I aimed for a more soft, airy, whispery, hints of a mature tone mixed with innocence type of vocals. (So there's more focus on the main vocals/lyrics and the slight harmony & adlibs are towards the end of the song) To me, it's the type of tone makes you feel like you're surrounded by the first wintry snowfall.

This is a pretty personal song to me.
I first discovered the song around four years ago by an admired artist (and singer-hobbyist) named Hikki who had covered it. And then a couple weeks ago, I came across Cherry's beautiful cover of it and saw that the song was used in the film "The Suicide Room". So after watching that movie, the song just touched me and connected with me more, and after all these internal conflicts and talks between close friends, I decided to release a piece of myself into this cover.

All of my personal creations from covers to original pieces to fan-fiction stories are like diary/journal entries for me, so if you've noticed that I've got an assortment of works up, it's because of that reason.

Doubt - Epic Orchestral Arrangement (Twenty One Pilots)

Eternity Roze 2016-03-13 | I'm sorry not sorry for creating this insane masterpiece. Hahaha! There's a funny story behind arranging this though, and it started when I first heard the song in a Multi Editor Project.
Feeling inspired, I started arranging an orchestral version; got the first 15 seconds done and then was like-- screw it. I'll just jump to the chorus-- leaving two measures of rests in between. Finished the chorus and didn't know what to do for the two measures so I -cough- made it contemporary.

I was introduced to the acoustic version of this song last year in a fairly odd way, but I found the song to be very beautiful in its own way. Yes I liked the original version as well, but I just have a strong love for orchestra and piano so a while after I discovered that song, I began writing a piano arrangement for it. However, like a majority of my other projects, I put it on break because of demotivation...

I recently picked it up again going through my folders and decided to make it into an orchestral arrangement because I'm crazy in love with depressing, emotional music~ The result of this arrangement is almost like an entirely different song itself. I was heavily influenced by my favorite composers; with that influence and the combination of my own style, I have expressed the beauty I have seen within this song.

For now, this is an instrumental version. I'm hoping to cover this version with my love in the future~ Anyone who wants to use/cover this arrangement may do so, just credit me and let me know beforehand so I can see it as well! ^^

【Roze】 Cryogenic - Cover

Eternity Roze 2015-04-11 | And it's been ages yet again since I've uploaded a serious cover! Lately I've been indulged with a number of group projects and choruses, and every time I tried to record something, it wouldn't sound as great as I would have liked, so I ended not uploading anything for months. :(
But I have been working to improve my vocals and everything involving music skills so I have been busy as well~ Cryogenic was the first song in a long time that I actually really wanted to cover. The ambiance and electronic effects and lyrics are beautiful! So just this once I decided to make it through a (stressful) recording session to get something up~

I finished this arrangement the middle of last year but just never uploaded it. This was actually a birthday gift to another friend but I came across it again and liked how it turned out, so what better day to upload it than today? ;D
These two songs were the pieces that my friend played for me on piano, which was why I decided to use them. Then as I was arranging the two, I thought: let's combine the two pieces somehow! And so I figured out a way to mix the two lovely songs toward the end~

I've also received a ton of requests for the score of this arrangement which I've now included down below!

Where Our Promise Resides - Original Anime Music

Eternity Roze 2014-12-09 | I have returned with another original composition (: The idea for this one actually originated and started when I was practicing my piano transcription of Erica by OkameP and I played the beginning notes wrong... and thus this song was born haha. Most inspiration came from the Nagi no Asukara opening and ending themes, the opening theme to No Game No Life, as well as some other orchestral works. In my opinion, it ended up sounding pretty anime-ish for once ;D

To me, Where Our Promise Resides paints a picture of the place where a friend and I made a promise back when we first met-- and that would be to meet each other one day. Living in different countries, I made a joke that one day both of us would meet, but to make it fair, we'd meet halfway-- which happened to be in the middle of the ocean 8D Great meeting place, eh?~

Eternity Roze 2014-11-17 | You can consider this a friendly cover since I seem to be a bit unactive with my uploads on here ^^; First off, I’d like to thank the lovely Tuna-san for always sharing beautiful music like this with me! You’re the one who introduced me to this song and I’m so glad you did. (He also did a cover of it, so be sure to check it out too!)
I immediately fell in love with this song from the moment I heard the piano note entrance and knew that I’d love to cover this song one day~ In between practice recordings I would do some serious takes of this song to see how my vocal progress was, and I liked how it was sounding. Lately, though, I haven’t been able to have time to record, but this is the result of progress now. I actually did try my best and will probably rerecord this in the future, but enjoy this mix for now ^^ Believe that the lyric fumbles add to the feels and Mary’s emotions as she’s singing, and that the pitches add to my own style ;D (//shotdead).
Yes, I may have had a little too much fun by adding a whole bunch of vocals at the end xD They were taken from my old recordings of other songs including: Erica (OkameP), First Time in Forever (Frozen), Yuragi (niki), Lullaby of Allium [Adlibs] (OkameP) and some random Japanese dialogue I did for fun one day. Most were pitch shifted in some way to fit the song and “enhance it” haha Don’t judge.. Gotta love technology ;D
This song also brings out the manliness in me, as I’m singing in a mature yet cute ish way still, so I’m still getting used to that in between state aha~ A friend encouraged me to upload this since I admitted that around 90% of my works are never uploaded because they’re either unfinished or I feel I could do better, so enjoy~ I put my feels into Mary’s feels so you better feel the feels.

From Childhood - Original Peaceful Piano Music

Eternity Roze 2014-09-28 | This is the first composition that I have been able to finish in months so I'm really glad about that! Lately it's been a struggle to finish any original songs because I would always stop midway because of a lack of motivation or feeling that it's not good enough. Thankfully a constant push of inspiration was what I needed ^^

I actually had a lot of ideas written out for this piece; too many ideas in fact, that I ended up removing most of them. I drew most of my inspiration from Dalibor Krigovský's original piano piece entitled "Her Lullaby", which is a beautiful soothing song and I suggest you listen to it here~

You may hear some similarities with it, because I absolutely love his compositions. With "From Childhood" I actually tried really hard to make a more uplifting song with major chords but me being who I am, they somehow turned into minor chords and I can't help it ahahaha.

Limiter ( リミッター ) Orchestra Arrangement

Eternity Roze 2014-09-20 | This song is emotionally beautiful (in fact, almost all songs by niki are). After hearing it for the first time, I found myself humming the tune every so often and thought that it would sound nice as an orchestral piece. I ended up creating an arrangement for it, but then wanted to add epic drums and have better sound quality, which I was able to achieve with Watermint's help! Creating the video was also fun since I finally learned the basics for ProType Titler haha~ I've grown to love this song even more after working with it for so long. I feel that it happens and is a good thing when you take a piece and really learn it inside and out
A big thanks to Watermint for producing the song and mixing as well as mastering it! I'd also like to give a shout out to Tuna-san because he had created Miku append vocals for the song, but due to some factors, I ended up just leaving it as an instrumental.
