In The Face of the Enemy - 10/28/20 Timothy Castleberry 2020-10-29 | The enemy of Faith comes in many forms and has many faces. Sin waits at the door and our flesh would gladly open it to him. The world hates us and persecutes us because we are of a different accord. The devil roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour laying traps and snares everywhere. We are born again on a battlefield inside a warzone. We are called to stand uprightly in the Power and Might of the Almighty clothed in the Righteousness of Jesus Christ, our Lord! Jesus has given us the power to tread on scorpions and serpents and over all the power of the enemy. Though we all fall short of this Glory from time to time... God corrects those whom He loves. It's never too late to empty your cup of yourself, turn back towards the Living God, and to be filled by the Holy Spirit. God will renew your strength and reinforce your Faith because He is good to fulfill His promises towards you. You were born for such a time as this and adversity sharpens you as the instrument of God's will. When you are weak, He is made strong. Humble yourself and the Lord will exalt you. Trust in Him and know that He is the Lord your God. All things are possible to them that believe. When you wrestle against vanquished foes in many forms you can know that you are given the victory in Christ Jesus. You will be able to stand in the face of the enemy declaring victory in the Lord your Banner, Jehovah Nissi. Psalm 73 - Clean Hearts & Clean Hands Timothy Castleberry 2020-10-13 | We all slip up or dirty our hands in the affairs of this life. As long as we dwell in this fleeting body of flesh... we will face this struggle. Jesus shed His blood to cleanse us of ALL sin! When we look to the world and those around us that are prospering in their materialism it can be very dishearting to endure our own personal struggles. If we focus too much on others we can easily fall into the trap of envy or jealousy which will lead to covetousness. If we focus on our own walk of Faith... it will be a walk, not of sight, but in Trust and Hope to and from God. He alone will uphold and keep us if we continually draw near to Him. When we do slip up and dirty our hands... if we seek Him with a pure heart His Grace will be more than sufficient to renew our strength and reinstill a proper portion of faith in measure! Let your cups overflow today with the Forgiveness in His neverending Grace and Mercy towards you! His Love is because He IS LOVE! God Bless & Keep You & Your Families! Psalm 141 - Prayerful Repentance & Godly Protection Timothy Castleberry 2020-10-12 | We all make mistakes. If we confess our sin to God and turn from our evil ways... He is slow to anger and quick to forgive. Often, it's best to not focus on the mistake but on Him to help strengthen you in order that you may go and sin no more. Our prayers offered up to God in the Spirit are as burnt offerings and our Praise and Worship towards Him are as the sacrifices of old. Jesus shed His blood and gave His body up to be broken for our sakes. We have an eternal Hope and Promise in that what He starts... He will finish. Let not our hearts be troubled as we work out our own salvation, between ourselves and God, with fear and trembling. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God! Let us keep our Holy reverence for Him front and center. When we fall short of the Glory, let us admit to God that shortcoming and ask for more of His Grace and Mercy to uphold and strengthen us in the Spirit. We walk our walk of faith in the Spirit while residing temporarily in these vessels of flesh. The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Fortunately, when we are weak... He is made strong. To God be the glory, the honor, and the power forever and ever! Now, draw your glory and honor from Him as you Stand in the Power of His Might. God will be your refuge, your high tower, and your fortress!
