- A balloon and a toothpick.

- A field, beach or any other free space
π» What we do:
Go to an open area, such as a field. Take a balloon and move 50-100 meters away from the camera. Turn on your slow motion camera and burst it.
After watching this slow motion video you can easily determine the winner!
π»To create a picture with sand you will need:
- sand
- pencil
- glue
- paper
- tray
- bags
- dyes
- water
π» What to do:
First, let's dye our sand: we put the sand in several bags, add a few drops of dye and some water in each of them. Close the bags and stir it well. Then we put the sand on a tray and leave it to dry.
Draw any kind of picture on paper. We decided to make a palm print β and a foot print π¦Ά.
We covered the picture with glue, sprinkled with sand, gently shook off the extra sand and left to dry.

- A wide-necked bottle (0.3 or 0.5 liters).
- Straw
- Plasticine or hot glue
- Vinegar 9%
- Baking soda
- Cloth
- A sharp object (such as scissors)
- A large container of water or a puddle.
π» Here's how to do it:
With a sharp object, make a small hole for the straw in the top of the bottle. Insert the straw into it and seal the gap with plasticine or hot glue.
Pour 80-100 ml of vinegar into the bottle. Put 2 tsp. of baking soda on a small napkin and twist its edges. Tilt the bottle and place the napkin with baking soda in it so that it rests on the straw and does not touch the vinegar. Carefully screw the lid on. Our boat is ready!
Shake the boat to mix the contents, and place it on the surface of the water so that the free end of the straw is under the water. The boat picks up speed and sails away!
You need to increase the amount of ingredients and the size of the bottle to launch a faster boat.
π» What happens?
The acid reacts with the baking soda. This reaction results in new substances: water, a certain kind of salt and carbon dioxide.
The carbon dioxide leaves the bottles through the straw, and it rushes off in the opposite direction.

π» Create a volcano shape out of sand outside or on the beach. You can use figurines of animals, tree branches to imitate flora and fauna, and make a river at the bottom and fill it with water.
Put a plastic cup in the crater. Add 2 tablespoons of baking soda, red dye, and a bit of liquid soap. Mix it up.
Your volcano is ready. Now you can pour the vinegar into its crater in portions and watch it eruption.
π»Explanation:
In this experiment, soda reacts with acid when water is added. The reaction produces carbon dioxide CO2 and water H2O. The carbon dioxide rushes to the top, but is trapped in soap bubbles. Therefore, dense soapy foam bursts out of the crater and begins to flow down the slope of the volcano.

We only see different colors of objects because they absorb or reflect some rays of sunlight, which is made up of seven colors. For example, a green ball absorbs all rays of sunlight except the rays of green. It reflects them. Black color absorbs all sunlight rays, so it seems black to us. We see white when an object reflects all sunlight rays. Transparent objects appear to us when they let all the light pass through.
When we focus rays of sunlight with a magnifying glass and direct them to a colored ball, it bursts. The more rays the ball absorbs, the faster the "hot spot" heats the rubber and burns through it. That's why the black ball bursts faster than the others.
Because the white ball reflects all light rays, it cannot be burned through with a magnifying glass. The ball reflects them, and the rubber in the "hot spot" does not heat up.
In the experiments, we see that the rays of light pass freely through the transparent balloon and plastic bag. That is why we manage to focus them on the colored ball inside the transparent object and burst it.
The more rays the ball absorbs, the faster the "hot spot" heats the rubber and burns through it. That is why it is very easy for a dark balloon to burst.

1. POWERFUL TISSUE
It's the surface tension of the water, which works magically. The water filled all the gaps in the tissue and blocked them, forming a thin layer called surface tension.
2. BATTLE OF WATER AND AIR
When the neck of an upside-down bottle is in water, it doesn't come out of it. The pressure of the water column inside the bottle is balanced by the atmospheric pressure on the open surface of the water in the container. If the neck of the bottle is above the surface of the water, the pressure inside the bottle becomes greater than the atmospheric pressure and it pours out.
3. PING PONG BALL TRICK
When we put the ball on the top of the bottle, it pushes all the extra water out of it. When we turn the bottle upside down, all the water stays inside. The pressure of the water inside the bottle is balanced by the atmospheric air pressure on the ball, which is kind of stuck to the neck of the bottle. Surface tension of water helps it do this. The water molecules are attracted to each other, closing the small opening between the ball and the neck of the bottle.
4. INVISIBLE POWER
When you spin the bottle of water, the centrifugal force - the force that occurs when the object rotates - acts on them. Because of this, the water is pressed to the bottom of the container and does not splash out. If you let go of the rope during rotation, the bottle will fly up or sideways, depending on where it is at the moment. The same thing happens to the water inside - it heads in the opposite direction from the rope, but it is held by the bottle.
5. PAPER COVER
The air pressure in the glass is lower than the atmospheric pressure. The pressure outside is greater, so the cardboard presses against the glass and prevents the water from spilling.
6. THE SECRET OF WATER
The water does not pour out because of air pressure and surface tension. The air pressure inside the bottle is lower and the air pressure outside it is higher. Also, the water filled all of the tiny holes in the cheesecloth and held the entire volume of water in the bottle due to surface tension.
7. AIR PRESSURE TRICK
Water flowing out of the glass and soaking the cloth lowers the air pressure inside it (if there is no space for air circulation between the glass and the lid). The glass is sort of "sucked" onto the smooth flat lid. But the atmospheric air pressure remains the same. This is what holds the lid under the glass sucker on the lid.
8. AIR PRESSURE HOLDS WEIGHT
In order to hold heavy objects, it is necessary to lower the pressure inside the glass. In this case the atmospheric pressure will be able to hold some weight. When gases are heated, they expand. When they are cooled, they contract. When the candle goes out, the air inside the glass cools and compresses, sucking the water inside from the napkin. If no gap is left between the glass and the napkin, the air inside will be discharged and the atmospheric pressure will help lift the weight.

Baking soda reacts with citric acid, causing carbon dioxide to be released. It end up trapped in soap bubbles because of the liquid soap, which is very delightful for kids. If you do not have citric acid, you can use 9% vinegar, but it will smell a little.

You will need starch, water and some household items. Watch the video to see how to make it and use the Non-newtonian liquid indoor activity ideas to play with your kids.
If a non-Newtonian liquid is hit or squeezed, it begins to behave like a solid. The starch molecules line up closer together, as if "holding" the water inside. If the liquid is still, the water molecules fill the space between the starch molecules again, and the mixture behaves as a liquid substance.

The basic ingredients of all salt experiments are salt and water (or ice).
The following Science Experiments with salt are:
1. Frost in a can. In this experiment, you will turn water into ice in minutes without using a freezer and freeze a can to a cutting board using ice and salt.
2. Ice fishing. You will catch ice cubes using string and salt.
3. Floating Eggs. A raw egg sinks in water, but you can increase the density of the water to make it float.
4. Salt crystals. Is it possible to grow salt crystals fast? Yes, it is very easy! You can even decorate a card with such crystals.
5. Drawing on the ice. Use salt to make unique colored patterns on the ice.
6. Non-freezing water. How to make water that doesn't freeze in the freezer overnight?

In this video we are experimenting with baking soda and citric acid to make our snow volcano erupt.
You can also do this snow volcano experiment outside.
In this experiment, soda (sodium hydrogen carbonate NaHCO3) reacts with acetic acid when water is added. The reaction produces carbon dioxide CO2 and water H2O. The carbon dioxide rushes to the top, but is trapped in soap bubbles. Therefore, thick soapy foam bursts out of the crater and begins to flow down the slope of the volcano.

There are two simple mixture recipes for you:
Glue mixture: Blend 2 parts white glue with one part water into a mixing bowl.
Flour mixture: You will need 5 parts of water and 1 part of flour. Boil 4 parts of water in a pot. Blend 1 part of flour with 1 part of water in a bowl. Carefully pour the mixture into the pot and stir it for 2-3 minutes. Cool before using.
