J.T. Pugh's life began in Noble, La., Oct. 28, 1923, to an affluent farmer and his wife. He was the youngest of five and the only boy. His life changed drastically when he was four. That's when a tornado came through Noble and killed his father, Jesse Trulanzer Pugh. J.T., his mother, and sisters worked their farm trying to plant a crop and harvest it for money. It was no longer the best of times. It was the worst of times. And life was not finished. At the age of 13, J.T. lost his mother, Lucy Sanderson Pugh. To keep the young teenager from becoming a ward of the state, Iva Nell, and J.T. worked to keep the crops going. The young lad and his teenaged sister toiled grueling hours to overcoming scores of seemingly impossibilities. He learned gritty, unending determination.
By the time J.T. was 12, the life he knew was harsh and cruel and the hours were long and tormented. And then he met the Master, and he was never the same. He learned of love where there had been loss. He learned of hope where there had been despair. He learned about joy where there had been desecration. His passion became his Savior and the rest of his life is history.
At the age of 16 J.T. Pugh began to feel his call into the ministry. At the age of 17 he enrolled in "Southern Bible and Vocational College”. This was a good school located in a rural community town miles from Cisco, Texas. During three of the four years that he attended college, J.T pastored a church in Gorman, Texas. In the winter of 1943 he was ordained as a minister of "The Pentecostal Assemblies of Jesus Christ."
On August 20, 1944. J.T married a beautiful, dedicated, young lady. Bessie Beryl Halbrooks has been the greatest event of his life, besides Jesus Christ. She was the first and only girl he ever dated. There were three children born to this union.
After graduating from Bible School, the Pugh's traveled as evangelist for a short time. In 1945, they were called to pastor in Wichita Falls, Texas. From 1946 to 1948, they evangelized. During this time they purchased a car.
In 1949, at the age of 27, the Pugh's moved to Port Arthur, Texas to pastor "The First Pentecostal.” They lived and ministered there for 17 years.
In 1974 the Pugh's moved to Odessa, Texas to pastor "The First Pentecostal Church." For 19 years they enjoyed revival and growth. During that time Bro. Pugh served eight years as the Texas District Superintendent.
March 23, 2010 was the for better or for worse day, in sickness and in health day, till death do us part day. It was the day Jesse Truman Pugh Lived for. It was the day JT Pugh became a spiritual being and left the cares of life for the splendor of heaven.
Bessie Byrl, his mate of 65 years had told him the day before he left, "let's go together." Instead, she sat by his side as he made his journey into the land he had preached about, lived for and believed in since he was 12. As his last breath passed from his body, she led her family in prayer and then in the song that signified his life, "We're part of the family, the family of God."Oneness in About 2 MinutesKeith Miller2019-07-28 | Oneness of the Godhead Explained in About 2 Minutes

The Biblical way to be born again...not tradition, some man-made doctrine, or false belief system instilled in us by theologians, or a church following the broad way instead of the strait and narrow way. What most worldly churches teach is not the true gospel truth of salvation. It MUST be based on the Bible, on the Apostle's doctrine first delivered to the people in Acts chapter 2. God loves all people, sinner and saint, but he also commands those who come to him to be obedient to his word (Luke 6:46-49, John 15:14, 2 John 1:6, Acts 17:30, Acts 10:44-48, 2 Cor.10:5, Rev.14:12).

2 Thessalonians 1:5-12 2Thes 1:5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: 2Thes 1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 2Thes 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels (2nd Coming), 2Thes 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: (The Day of the Lord/The Wrath of God) 2Thes 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 2Thes 1:10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. 2Thes 1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 2Thes 1:12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 2Thes 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him (The Rapture), 2Thes 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand (The Day of the Lord/The Wrath of God). 2Thes 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; (The Antichrist; Mat. 24:15) 2Thes 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 2Thes 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 2Thes 2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 2Thes 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 2Thes 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed (The Antichrist), whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: (The Day of the Lord/The Wrath of God/The Rapture) 2Thes 2:9 Even him (The Antichrist), whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 2Thes 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2Thes 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2Thes 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Matthew 24:15-21 Mat. 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation (2Thes 2:3-4), spoken of by Daniel the prophet (Dan. 9:26-27, 11:31, 12:11), stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Mat. 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Mat. 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Mat. 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. Mat. 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! Mat. 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: Mat. 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Matthew 24:29-31 Mat. 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation (The Great Tribulation) of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Mat. 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory (The 2nd Coming). Mat. 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other (The Rapture).

* The Rest of the Story…of Romans 10
Some people say baptism is not a necessary part of salvation. They pull verses out of context, not giving the full story. They say all you need to do to be saved is to just believe in Jesus. According to the gospel, baptism is necessary to be saved. Here are the verses they use, and then the verses that they leave out, so you can see the rest of the story.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." - Romans 10:9-13.
The problem is, these people leave off the REST of the story. The rest of the story tells us in order to be saved we need to hear the gospel from a preacher that is sent by God AND we need to OBEY the gospel. Romans 6:17-18 says:
v.17 "But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you." (Acts 2:38-42, 8:14-17, 10:44-48, 19:1-6) v.18 "Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness."
Here is the REST of the story, continuing with Romans 10:14:
"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" - Romans 10:14
According to this verse, in order to call on the Lord, in order to believe on the Lord, in order to believe that God has raised him from the dead, we need a preacher. And not just any preacher, we need a preacher that is sent by God.
"And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" - Romans 10:15
What will they be preaching?
They will be preaching the gospel of peace.
What is the gospel of peace?
The gospel of peace is that our heavenly Father put on the flesh of a human body to die for our sins, He was buried, and He rose from the dead on the third day. By His death, burial, and resurrection He made PEACE between mankind and Himself. He paid the death penalty for our sins that separated us from Him since Adam. When we apply the blood He shed for us by being baptized in Jesus name for the remission of our sins, we personally have claimed this peace.
"And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;" - Colossians 1:20-23
"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood." - Acts 20:28
After we have heard the gospel, the next verse, Romans 10:16, lets us know that to be saved we need to not only believe, but also to OBEY the gospel.
"But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?" - Romans 10:16
How do we obey the gospel - the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus?
We crucify our sinful nature by repentance becoming dead to sin, we are buried with Jesus by baptism in a watery grave in Jesus name for the remission of our sins, and we are resurrected by receiving His Holy Ghost to live a new, holy life. (Romans 6:1-13)
Peter preached the gospel – the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ - on the Day of Pentecost.
Peter then preached how to obey the gospel – repentance, baptism in Jesus name, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." - Acts 2:38
"For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." - Acts 2:39

God is a Spirit (John 4:24). He is the Eternal One, the Creator of all things, and the Father of all humanity by creation. He is the First and the Last, and beside Him there is no God (Isaiah 44:6). Rev 14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: Rev 14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. Rev 14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. Rev 14:5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
* A Great Multitude from Every Nation (The Church, Gentiles & Some Jews): Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; Rev 7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. Rev 7:11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Rev 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. Rev 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Rev 7:15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. Rev 7:16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. Rev 7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.Robert E.
