Large Ghost Train / Große Geister Bahn on Ride POV - Wiener Prater MORE BUMPS AHEAD 2025-04-26 | Große Geister Bahn (Large Ghost Train) is a classic Ghost train and the largest at Wiener Prater in Vienna, Austria. Claimed to be the largest of its kind in Europe, this fully mechanical dark ride dates back to the 1940's, but its original wood structure burned down in the early 1980's. Rebuilt and reopened in 1985 the ride was closed in the early 2020s for a refurbishment that allowed for supports of the new Wiener Looping coaster to be built atop and within the ghost train.
