...DILLIGAF Noisy Jam... [HWJ Weekend Challenge] [OXI One] [Scrooge] [Alchemist] [Pixie]
updated
We continue moving(?) in the direction we're facing. Our lamps are lit and we can sense that the area is illuminated, yet we see nothing. It's just somehow lighter without any details of this area revealed.
NTS-1 flies solo with a drone drenched in reverb. Nothing more, nothing less.
Drone on!
Sounds of metallic fire provide some sense of direction, yet it's not clear where we're headed. We simply continue on...
RoAT doing drone duty running it through Cetus for Swell reverb.
Krackatone picks up what's "out there" and pumps it through NTS-1 for delay and reverb.
Drone on!
There's just a bit of light coming from somewhere... somewhere... Something is not quite "right" about it. The hue and... texture... doesn't look right.
Ovum through Cetus for spacious and slightly mournful drones. It's probably nothing.
Great Conjunction running two euclidean sequences and one random sequence. Those pass through NTS-1 for delay and reverb.
Drone on!
The descent lasted for what felt like an eternity. We've emerged within a cavernous space with no discernable boundaries. There are echoes, so there must be walls, edges, limits of some sort.
Ovum with some smooth and creamy drones running through Cetus for a slathering of shimmer.
Volca Modular vibe-patched because I'm still learning it. Run it through NTS-1 for delay.
Drone on!
Piercing high-pitch tone alert at 03:13.
This is the path we're on. The path we(?) have chosen. Down. Down. Down.
Tumultuor provides deep rich drones run thorugh NTS-1 for reverb.
Kastle 1.5 with a complementary drone run through FX Wizard. This must be necessary for communication with...them...
Drone on!
Down a darkened path led by an AI guide. Seeking the way forward. Into the light or away from the light? The guide is trained using language. Language that the trainers are incapable of using effectively. So, is this the way? It definitely is "a" way.
Drone from Kastle 1.5... slow with subtle movement. Run that through NTS-1 for some "Horror" reverb.
RoAT facilitates transmissions through FX Wizard... "the transmissions to your guide are coming FROM the guide..." Oh my....
Drone on!
Slightly oppressive, the NTS-1 brings a drone with heft, texture and movement. Kastle Drum runs it's pulses through the Timeslip for a coating of warp to aid in navigating the treacherous passage.
Drone on!
Starting off this year's Dronetober with a gritty mellow session that's heavy on the lows. Little bits of echoing brightness emerge only to ultimately be consumed by the drone. The drone hungers. The drone is insatiable. The drone is eternal.
CPM-DS-2 summons and sustains the base drone.
Kastle Drum strives to pepper the drone with multiple bursts of glitchy brightness via NTS-1, yet those bursts prove to be but snacks for the darkness.
Drone on!
Here, we follow cacophonous path to be sure...
Lyra-8 through Sonicake Wavecrusher into Cosmos for some gigantic reverb. Mix on Cosmos is maxxed, so we only get the wet. Hence the delay after touching the points. It added another bit of "off-ness" to this whole thing, which I'm really digging.
CPM-DS-2 administers the drones with just the built-in delay.
RoAT through NTS-1 for reverb and delay.
A little bit gritty, a little bit chill...
A daylight jam of darkened weirdness. Obviously, I'm in a spot where the Lyra-8 and Cosmos are the anchor. Not necessarily the main players, but I feel like they're the current foundation for what I'm making.
Here, we have the Lyra-8 running through the Cosmos, which is set to delay 2.2. Lyra-8 is set 50/50 fast/not-fast to add some spice to those delay lines. CPM-DS-2 provides a nice drone with a bit of movement. Kastle Drum goes slow and really stretches itself out and then run through the NTS-1 for delay and reverb.
I found that setting the NTS-1 to take audio-in and place it before the filter lets me use the filter on what's coming out of the Kastle Drum. That's opened up some nice possibilities.
This was to be a track submitted for an upcoming compilation, but I exceeded the time limit, so figured I'd post it here.
I'd really like to hear any feedback regarding whether or not the sound quality seems good/appropriate for a compilation submission. Thoughts? All of my videos are just instruments into a Zoom Livetrak L6 into my phone where I record with OpenCamera. I don't do any sort of post production (aside from occasionally adding video overlays.)
Lyra-8 improv through Cosmos set to the third Granular setting.
S-1 has a 64 step sequence with notes from A minor scale scattered about here and there. Probability for each note is between 10 and 30.
RoAt improv through NTS-1 for delay (ping-pong) and reverb (horror.)
Lyra-8 with oscillators 1-4 providing a drone and oscillators 5-8 adding flavor at will. All run through Cosmos set to delay 2.2.
S1 plays a 64 step sequence of recorded arpeggios. Occassionally holds a chord.
RoAT with transmissions through NTS-1 for delay.
Just riding this one out into the inky black.
HWJ Weekend Challenge - The Banjam Challenge
http://youtube.com/post/Ugkx4iv5sEv3u3q8-Shwb7En3ElzI-77mCDe?si=r9yS6e9si0quVxxM
"Make a jam that is so good it will get you banned!"
😬😬😬
Anyway... rollin' with Lyra-8, Cosmos, Scrooge, S1 and the Blackhole. Twistin' knobs and dropping parts here and there.
Lyra-8 had some of it's tuning knobs "wheel-of-fortuned" for fun. Running it through Cosmos set to the third Granular setting.
Scrooge runs a 16-step sequence with a few of the steps with low-ish probability.
S1 has a 64 step sequence with some random notes. Lots of knob twisting.
Then, just flowing.
Good enough to get banned? Banned either way? 😂🤣😁
Yeah, it's a long one. Been dealing with a creative block all week. I kind of feel like this helped clear it out. It was one of those situations where you sit at the synths and nothing you create really sounds "right." "Right" as in "that's what I feel like I wanted to make." I got lost in this one and would have happily kept going until the RoAT batteries died. As it is, this jam outlasted the Plague Doctor.
Lyra-8, tuned to B minor as best I could, running through the Blackhole.
RoAT running through Cosmos, which is on the middle Granular setting.
I tried to leave spaces here and there. More than I normally would. I tend to want to jam stuff into every nook and cranny as it were.
If you watched/listened to the end, thank you! Hope you enjoyed the journey!
Something a little different...
CPM-DS-2 with some higher pitched drones oscillating slowly.
S1 running a 64 step sequence of E minor notes with probability between 10 and 40. Lots of reverb and delay.
Great Conjunction with three sequences, 32 steps each, all with percussive instruments. EUC, CELL and RND are in play.
Wave Bard is loaded up with some nature sound samples and cycles through those.
Challenge post: http://youtube.com/post/UgkxanvqL0UyV3k92sbNN7N_odmXhuETunNt?si=OYQV6miIzryMS-Pt
I wasn't able to find any ugly sounds, yet I did find some wonderful construction/industrial equipment sounds.
P6 has all of the construction/industrial samples sequenced across 64 steps. A little bit of reverb added.
S1 has a 64 step sequence playing notes from the G Major Pentatonic scale. Probability for each note somewhere between 10 and 70. I kind of "wheel of fortuned" the knob and took what came up. Short attack, long decay, sustain and release. Delay and reverb at about 1 o'clock. Little bit of noise.
RoAT just doing what it does and running through the S1.
Just a bit of noise and a tip of the pint glass to wish @hellf.o a Happy Birthday! (Your comment on @MutantAlienCyborg post gave it away!) Hope it's as noisy as you want it to be!
Scrooge brings some filthy beats doused in a bit of Hall reverb from the Zoom Livetrack L6.
RoAT doing it's thing through the Blackhole for some space.
Industrial Hazard Death Grinder through the Pocket Master (Dead Metal preset) working to break apart the fibers of reality.
Riding the delay into the sunset...
[Originally posted on IG, hence the vertical orientation.]
Placing this humble offering upon the @bastlinstruments #bastlsummerhits25 altar.
"Don't be afraid to get weird" they said... I think I understood the assignment.
Three devices engaged in arcane sonic union:
- Kastle Drum provides glitchy percussive bits and pieces
- NTS-1 mkii slings major triad arps in G major with healthy slatherings of Space and Riser reverb
- Wave Bard unleashes the voices... I'm not the only one that hears them... right? RIGHT?
Jam weird. Jam on.
Focusing on the end... so easy to do these days...
10s violation, I'll take the 🟥...
Scrooge gets crunchy with it's glitchy self. Running the beat through the Cetus pedal for Hall reverb.
Improv on the Enner. The delay bombs this thing can drop are amazing. No effects other than what is built-in. I need some go-go Gadget fingers...
Palo Santo in the mad monk.
It's been a minute, so time for a Frenz Jam with @pxt0909 !
The tree is the prompt. I'm sure there were just some branches removed. Removed because they were so close together. They definitely aren't eyes. Right? Right???
Alvearium brings the base drones and those get run through NTS-1 mkii for Riser reverb and a bit of Phaser, Flanger and Ensemble. There may have been some Chorus. Definitely tape delay at the end.
Great Conjunction has three sequences running with percussion instruments:
1. Instrument 5, Cellular Automata sequence, 32 steps, 42% probability, rule 30
2. Instrument 26, Pseudo Random sequence, 32 steps, 45% probability, seed 42
3. Instrument 37, Euclidean sequence, 32 steps, 13 events
All of that goes through the MS-70CDR for Church and Shimmer reverb.
Wave Bard is loaded up with mostly spoken word samples.
Really dug this one. It made me smile.
First Enner jam! Methinks I must limber up the digits a bit as it gets a bit like Twister for the hands. Incredibly fun though! The most eye-openeing part of playing Enner is how easy/intuitive it is to use the stereo field. It's how the instrument is built, so you can't help buy play with the space. Wonderful stuff!
CPM-DS-2 has a couple of drones going with pitch of OSC 1 modulated by Wave 1 and cutoff of OSC 1 modulated by Wave 2. Slow cycles.
Great Conjunction has two Euclidian sequences and one random sequence running. Each is using a percussion instrument for their voice. I applied the Spring reverb built-in to the Zoom L6 for that track.
More noise. Slower and more deliberate. A lot happens in this session... in the in-between spots. Somehow, the sounds are momentarily more distant, pleading for presence. Then, they fade or they emerge. Just like all things.
Tumultuor with the drones. No effects. Sonically bareback. There's happiness in the Starve knob.
Kastle Drum with beats running through the Pocket Master on the Dream Pop preset. Who doesn't love Dream Pop?
Kastle 1.5 cycles tones and runs them through the FX Wizard which is cycling through the effects banks as ENV dictates.
A soundscape for sleeping...
Just a little warm-up session noise jam to get back into the swing of things.
It's noisy.
The Industrial Hazard Death Grinder is pretty frickin' amazing. Running it through the Pocket Master set to the Heavy Core preset. I added Delay to the preset and cranked up the Feedback and Time.
Simple patch on the Drum for beats and a very slowly oscillating drone from the Kastle.
Fun noisy times!
August is my nemesis... soon, the busy and the crazy will choose to breathe and ease up. Then, the jam space will re-emerge and that will be good. For so many years, I didn't do any of this sound-making stuff. Now, it's so essential to my happiness and well-being. I allow life to "get in the way" and I really do feel the emptiness of not creating. Kind of feels like an illness coming on. It's funny to think about.
I'm glad I remembered VCV Rack. It's been a while. I needed to make something and this felt good. LFOs are amazing and I really enjoyed this journey. I did miss turning knobs though. There's still the connection that hardware provides.
Back to normal soon...
Ran this through the editor to adjust the volume.
Original video here: youtu.be/2LumY6mfiZI
Also, the inspiration for this video came from this video by @Not_A_Creative - youtu.be/Sc2AxWBDqok?si=YISqD5dhNRu95Uqy as well as all of the amazing videos @ElectroMagnetic_AmbientMusic has put out. A big thanks to both of them!
Here's the rundown again of what I'm using here:
Roland S-1 with a 32 step pattern in G minor scale. Each step with a probability of 10-40%. Attack at 9 o'clock, Decay, Sustain and Release maxxed.
Kastle Drum with its glitchy beats going through the Sonicake Pocket Master with Preset 13 - looks and sounds like flanger/wah.
Last night in the woods. Finally found the cable I was looking for. Ran into a few technical difficulties getting my setup working with the L6. Apologies if the levels are low. I'll get it all sorted out at some point.
Roland S-1 with a 32 step pattern in G minor scale. Each step with a probability of 10-40%. Attack at 9 o'clock, Decay, Sustain and Release maxxed.
Kastle Drum with its glitchy beats going through the @SONICAKE Pocket Master with Preset 13 - looks and sounds like flanger/wah.
HWJ Weekend Challenge - Heavy Metal
http://youtube.com/post/Ugkxio55bR16MbNABjITuoMqZIOvn7tVlmsS?si=CDKfzAMi3Z2ZffPh
What does "Metal" or "Heavy Metal" mean to you?
The spirit of Heavy Metal is not confined to a musical genre. Creatives that bring out what lives inside of them have the spirit of Heavy Metal.
Freedom
Non-conformity
Rebelliousness
Remain true to yourself. Trust yourself. Create from within yourself.
Drumbrute Impact with beats... and distortion.
Volca Bass with three patterns run through Mid Boost, Meteor Distortion, Tape Echo and Shimmer.
Wave Bard churning out metal riffs and "voices" - always the voices...
Distorted and driven past its limits. Freedom is inside...
CPM-DS-2 with drones. No wave on LFO 1. Triangle wave on LFO 2. Wave of LFO 2 is patched to the cutoff of each oscillator.
Scrooge with beats run through MS-70CDR for Filter Delay and LoFi Reverb.
Wave Bard loaded with vocal samples, groans and crows. Run those through the FX Wizard for some random effects.
A little bit of chaos to close out the day.
@pxt0909 inspired CYOA jams! Literally dusted-off this noisebox I made last year. Playing this box now, I realize that yeah, I didn't really plan anything out or really have much of an idea as to what I wanted to do with the box. Well, except make noise. So, it definitely was an adventure trying to find the "best" ways to get what I want out of it. I think my favorite sound is from dragging the tip of the screw across the surface of the box.
CPM-DS-2 with two different Saw waves bringing the base drones.
Noisebox with noise running through the MS-70CDR for Filter Delay and Mangled Space reverb.
Scrooge with just a couple of "percussion" sounds to add some spice.
This was a fun exploration with a box I've been neglecting. Now, I've got some ideas for improvements/enhancements to the configuration.
Jam with your Frenz!
Loud-ish distortion alert at 01:29 and 02:30. Just FYI.
For some reason, I was thinking about the Volca Modular today. I really haven't spent that much time with it. Honestly, it's still a bit of a mystery. So, I sat down with it this evening and threw together a little something. Intially, I wanted to pair it with a drone. After pursuing a couple of options, it just didn't seem like it was going to work. So, Drums it was! Gloriously glitchy stuff from the Kastle Drum - sonic peanut butter and jelly.
Tasty.
Volca Modular is going thorugh NTS-1 mkii for Flanger, Reverb and Delay.
Kastle Drum through OG NTS-1 for reverb, delay and distortion/phaser/flanger.
Some might call it a mess. I kind of like it.
This is what I recorded right after my previous session:
youtu.be/2BzOnmKNmF4
I wasn't ready to stop, so I just hit record again. Tones and textures are a bit different. A bit of a sharper edge here, but that's it. Still a bunch of drone goodness. Feeling some serious #dronetober vibes right now. Just need to hold off for a couple of months...

HWJ Weekend Challenge - "One Box on Fire"
http://youtube.com/post/UgkxrJwbzH8AlgGvxXC1VEq44dKMQRosSIU2?si=ATc5Ul9dxussFmsI
CPM-DS-2 doing all of the work. Well, I had to work really hard to stop at five minutes-ish.
Nothing but drones. Glorious drones.
Just close your eyes...
The harsh gets mellowed at ~ 04:30 for those who just can't.
This may sound odd to some, but I worked on this over the past three days. I kept wanting to add stuff. It's an affliction. Fortunately, I managed to reign in that tendency and just settled in with this trio. As usual with these explorations, the time just flew by. Some day, I'll get some sleep.
The Mystic provides a harsh and gritty prelude to a velvety smooth dronescape that carries us along into the inky black.
Kastle Drum with the glitchy rhythm to add an odd anchor to our journey. Mostly familiar, yet oh so odd.
NTS-1 provides riser reverb to all. Those wispy ethereal echoes that are barely there...
Thanks for coming along.
Frenz Jam with @pxt0909 !
The prompt is at the start. Used the "Oblique Strategies" GB ROM to draw a "card."
Drone Boy 2 from @SidRockett just arrived today and it fit nicely with where I was headed with this. Running it through the NTS-1 for tape delay and riser reverb. Not using the highest pitched oscillator here.
Atari Goth Console from @cctvfm , which I finished building today, runs a meaty drone through the FX Wizard, which adds some sauce to the drone as well as bringing its own offerings to the table.
This one evolved nicely. The drones from the DB2 are so great. The third oscillator is pretty high pitched, so I'm interested to see how I incorporate it. It does play well with the other two, I just find myself playing in the low end more often than not.
HWJ Weekend Challenge Post:
http://youtube.com/post/UgkxGzv22KuMXVTA8aywCO5Ck2o9K7OLeNMw?si=mqvWtXSfcZgWCs-L
Grabbed a bunch of spoken word samples and loaded up the Wave Bard.
Volca Bass in three VCO mode, different patterns on each, all in Ab Pentatonic.
Voca Beats brings beats.
NTS-1 adds some reverb to the Bass.
The prompt image didn't scream chaos or messiness. It's the product of a build up, a layering of contributions from many people. A vast range of differing styles and messages, all open to interpretation. While they are each distinct, they are all part of the whole. In that respect, they are the same.

I was working something out on my TD-3 today and needed to bounce to the Volca Bass to sketch something out. The Bass is so nice when you just need to throw something down quickly to sort it out. While doing that, I got swamped with ideas on how to use the three oscillators and it just took off from there. TD-3 gave me the side eye...
Volca Bass in three-osc mode running through Novadrift (Phaser) and Timeslip (Warp).
Volca Beats through Cetus for some Church reverb.
Not as dark as usual... a little something different. Variety, spice, life and all that.
Glorious video prompt this week from @pxt0909! That's the beginning and ending clipl here. Led me straight into the stellar abyss I seem to call home.
CPM-DS-2 with base drones run through the NTS-1 for Reverb and Flanger.
Scrooge with the excruciatingly delicious stretched rhythm through Timeslip (delay) and Cetus (reverb).
RoAT with the decoy (?) distress codes run through Timeslip for delay.
Believe me, this could have gone much much longer.
Kind of feels like I'm channeling Steve Roach. Must be the effects of all those 4:00am listenings of Halcyon Days over the years.
This was fun and it felt good. A nice little journey into an imaginary desert.
CPM-DS-2 will a simple base drone with a bit of the built-in delay.
RoAT fully improvised play, run through Timeslip for delay.
Great Conjunction provides the rhythms run through Cetus for reverb.
I kind of want to apologize for going low-light here as the auto-focus of my phone seems to have struggled a bit. However, the resulting effect is kind of cool, so no apology. Enjoy the weirdness. 😁
Feels kind of floaty and mournful... those days show up now and then...
There was a Spice demo I watched that had the tempo slowed down and the rhythm divisions all funky and it struck me how it could be cool for an ambient type piece. Reverb to fill the gaps. I think the attack here may be too fast for purist floaty ambient joy.
CPM-DS-2 with a simple base drone slathered in it's built-in delay and reverb.
Spice is running through Cetus for some shimmer reverb.
RoAT with a four tone sequence run through Timeslip for delay.
After a couple of minutes, if you don't fight it, you'll float along and maybe chill just a little.
Inspired by @MutantAlienCyborg Kastle/Krackatone/Gorantula jam "Beastly Signals" - youtu.be/exUHsvZDK2o?si=meJjakPhFHxopqiz
I couldn't get anything out of my Kastle that I was happy with, so I called in Lore to provide a drone. The path is:
Lore ---[ Krackatone ---[ Timeslip (Analog) ---[ Cetus (Shimmer)
This was a great chance to spend some time getting to know the Krackatone better. I had been using it without input as I really like the gritty sounds it provides solo. I also hadn't really tried to figure out how to best use it with an input. Previously, the incoming sounds seemed to just overwhelm anything the Krackatone wanted to do. Adjusting the output level of Lore and the output level of Krackatone via an attenuator on audio out got me where I wanted to be.
Thanks MAC for the inspiration!
Day off jam! Free noodlin'... Throwing @CrowsElectromusic "Lore" into the ring. Baptism by darkness, I suppose...
Lore fiddlin' ends at 01:25 for the impatient.
Base drone brought by Lore. Not a major player here, but a dash of spice adds to the dish.
Crave does the heavy lifting with a heavily modulated note on repeat run through Timeslip (delay) and then Cetus (reverb.)
Scrooge is slow and low, clocked by Crave, stretched and drug... downward...
Still feels like a Monday though.
This Crave patch, while not the most spectacular you'll run into, I just completely fell in love with. I think it's the paring with the Cetus pedal, specifically, the Shimmer. Assign is set to random, so that provides a nice bit of variety.
Spice is running through Timeslip for delay.
Indulgent exploration the other reverb options comes in at 11:23.
HWJ Weekend Challenge - Amen Break - http://youtube.com/post/Ugkx5Nx2cFhAIdtk6FlEPNsGzX08hKvg1386?si=Xy0syxpg5ZW85lp2
Four Amen Break variations programmed and chained in Scrooge. Run that through Simon for some analog delay.
Wave Bard with a hodge-podge of samples cycling and cycling.
ARP is arpin' through Orbital for some pitch shifting.
It's overdriven and a bit muddy... some might call it dirty... 😁
Finally got around to making a CV-controlled LED light strip. Using it here to trigger the drone jar's light-sensitive oscillators. I"m so glad it worked as I'd hoped.
Drone Jar triggerd by the SQ-1 and run through Orbital for pitch shifting and Timeslip for delay.
Scrooge with some nice slow beats.
Volca Keys with the warbly lead.

Make an '80's slasher-flick appropriate jam.
Scrooge giving the glitchy rhythm.
SQ-1 triggering the Keys via MIDI. Went HAM with the feedback, time, detune and portamento.
RoAT is roating through the NTS-1 for its RDA of Flanger and Delay.

Another dive into the Spice... I might be a Navigator...
@nyppy Scrooge with a simple three voice rhythm. As filthy as you like.
Scrooge with that crystal candy pattern running through the Blackhole for a modest dose of reverb.
RoAT get played freestyle and run through NTS-1 for delay.
Spice provides the clock to Scrooge via SEQ1CLK to Scrooge CLK.
Patched Spice SEQ2 to Scrooge Y Mod and Spice VCO2 to Scrooge X Mod to add a little sauce to the voices.
Still feel like I have miles to go to attain a good understanding and skillset with the Spice. Looks to be an interesting journey.
Learning how to Spice...
Decided to go low and slow through the Blackhole. RoAT through NTS-1 for reverb, delay and flanger. NTS-1 is also used for an occasional Noise ARP with the same effects.
Slow and low drones from the Spice.
I really worked to let the delay run out before adding more. Just enjoy the fade out. I probably could have waited even longer. Allowed more space. Maybe next time.
Hope this helps you fall asleep in your chair.
Weekend jam prompt. Grabbed three random Story Cubes and rolled them. I can't say for sure that I expected the outcome, but that's pretty much how it works. I couldn't tear myself away from the CPM-DS-2 and it seemed to fit with ocean depths I associate with a sea turtle. The flashlight and rainbow made me think of illumination and hope. So, I tried to make kind of smiley sounds with the Volca Bass and Beats.
CPM-DS-2 goes through Mariana for reverb.
Volca Bass through Wonderland for shimmer reverb.
Volca Beats is dry.
While it is a bit challenging, I do like sequence hopping on the Bass.
CPM-DS-2 with two base drones. Wave 1 is modulating the pitch and cutoff of Drone 2 and Carrier Frequency 2 of The Mystic. Wave 2 is modulating Modulation 1 and the Modulation Rate of The Mystic.
The Mystic takes in all of that glorious LFO stew and applies it to it's gritty insectoid hymns.
Kastle Drum has its LFO patched to Pitch Mod, Note Mod and Trig In.
It's a bit overdriven to start and I kind of like that.
Photograph and the question, "What sounds do the trees sing to you?" courtesy of @hojascirculares
Both served as the prompt for this session.
Stepping out of the manic flow to just sit and be. Slow noise meanderings. This is why I so love instruments like the Tumultuor. They reward slow deliberate twists and turns of the knobs. The textures just emerge, some with amazing depth. Just sit and be.
Kastle Drum nice and slow through the Alabs Timeslip for delay.
Kastle ARP sync'd with Drum and run through Orbital for some pitch shiftin'.
Tumultuor with the base drones and run through the NTS-1 mkii for tape delay (thanks to @F32.0 for that suggestion!)
Shot the videos of the tree shadows in the backyard today.
It's OK to fall asleep to this...
