Social: ●Twitter: twitter.com/TribalInstincts ●Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/tribalinstinctsMarblePhysics - Creating a new conceptTribalInstincts2022-01-09 | What are you doing??? I have to have creative projects to avoid insanity. Sometimes that's me out in the garage making something out of wood, or like now, its a silly coding project that I'm doing just for fun. Since I'm already taking the "me-time" to work on this project, I figured I can also sync up with whoever wants to stop in and say hi.
So are you BACK?! No. To avoid the issues I faced the last time I did youtube things, this time, it is 100% casual. I won't commit to any specific stream times, or duration. If I take time for myself to work on this game (or others?), then it's not any MORE time away from the family to stream. So long as I keep this in mind, then this shouldn't interfere with other aspects my life. Help me keep to this? :)
So, What are you making??? It is a 2D Physics "game". The end goal would be to have this streaming on twitch. People can log in to the stream and join in on the game. When you join, it loads in your profile picture into one of many little dots and then from there, physics happen. Some time the little dots race to some end goal, other times they fight to the death. You can win points while playing that will let you unlock and equip various things.
Feel free to ask any/all questions about how the game is made, or Unity/Coding in general.
How do I play? At the moment, go to twitch.tv/marblephysics and say something in chat. You'll need to do this each time I launch the game. I'll call that out each time. At some point, I'll hook up Youtube chat as well, but for now... it has to be over there.
I have an idea for a level, can I show you? OH LORD YES! :D I would love to see it. Level design is going to be a constant challenge for me so the more brain power on that the better. Please understand before starting anything though that: I. Am. Picky. If the idea of me rejecting your design in full or in part bothers you, then it would probably be best to avoid. Happy to go over what I think does/doesn't work with whatever you submit on stream.
How would you like to see it? However works best for you. Anything from a scribble on a napkin to a full SVG work of art is fine by me. Just make sure that any obstacles/triggers/... things... that happen in the game are called out in some what that I can make sense of. If it easier, a video of you describing how the marbles move through the game would also work.

Here are my thoughts before they ship.
MY WRISTS HURT! 8 hours of weird angles in TiltBrush is not kind to ones wrist. Should be worth it. Like where it is so far, still needs a ton of detail!
