About this video: Spigot is one of the original Minecraft server software options that allows you to get plugins. Paper, PurPur, and other server software options are all based on Spigot, and while Spigot Minecraft servers are less optimized than the forks based on it, it still is a great option if you want a simple way to add plugins to a Minecraft server without tons of performance optimizations.
To get started, we will need to download the Spigot Minecraft server software. You can find a link in the description above to download Spigot. That will take you to our text guide on how to make a Spigot server. On this page, click “Download Spigot” to go to a page where you can download the Spigot Minecraft server software.
On this page, find the version of Spigot you want and click the “Download” button next to it. This will take you to a page where you can click the “Spigot-version.jar” text to start downloading the Spigot server software.
With the Spigot.jar downloaded, create a new “Minecraft Spigot Server” folder on your desktop and move the Spigot file you downloaded into it. Then, rename the spigot-version.jar file to simply “spigot.jar”.
Next, right-click in the folder and create a new text document. Open this text document and copy-and-paste the code from the description above depending on how much RAM you want to add to your Spigot Minecraft server.
Then, click file, save as, and name the file “run.bat”. Make sure to change “save type as” to “All Files” as well. Save the file, and you will now have a run.bat file. Double-click this to try to start your server. It is worth noting you may need to download Java from the description above in order to start the server.
Your server will attempt to start, but it will fail. You should now have an EULA.txt file though. Open this file and change “eula=false” to “eula=true” and save the file assuming you agree to the Minecraft EULA.
Now, when you double-click the run.bat file your server will start. You will notice there is a “plugins” folder in your main server directory. This is where you will be able to install plugins. Just drag-and-drop any plugins you want to add to the server into this plugins folder and restart your server. When you do, the plugins will be activated and most plugins will generate a new folder within the plugins folder where you can edit that plugin’s config files.
You can join your server at this point using the IP address “localhost”. To play on your Minecraft Spigot server with your friends, you will need to port forward. There is a complete guide in the description above on how to port forward for any Minecraft server. This includes a Spigot server. After you port forward, your friends will be able join using your public IP address.
At this point though, you now know how to make a Spigot server in Minecraft. If you have any questions about how to create a Spigot Minecraft server and add plugins to it, let us know in the comment section below. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did help you learn how to setup a Spigot server, please give the video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel. Thanks in advance!

About this video: This video is our in-depth guide on how to make Minecraft less laggy in 1.20.6. Generally, our guides can boost Minecraft FPS at least 50% depending on the laptop or computer you are playing Minecraft on, and in some cases we have seen FPS triple or even quadruple. Some players can get over 1,000FPS in Minecraft while playing a lot smoother.
First things first is getting the correct mods installed. We recommend using the NotiFine modpack to do this as NotiFine has tons of additions for increase performance and reducing lag in Minecraft. The main mod that is used though is Sodium, and we have that linked in the description above as well if you want to just install your mods directly. However, there are tons of additional mods to improve Minecraft FPS in 1.20.6 in the NotiFine modpack. You can download it using the CurseForge App linked above.
Once you have NotiFine or Sodium installed, we can open up the Minecraft Launcher. We recommend adding at least 4GB of RAM to Minecraft in order to get a good experience in 1.20.6. This can be done by editing your installation in the Minecraft Launcher, clicking “more options”, and changing the number next to -xmx.
From there, you can move in-game. Start by going to “Options” and the “Video Settings”. Start by clicking on “Shader Packs” at the top and click to Disable shaders. This will boost your FPS a ton, and from there, we can go back to the Video Settings menu.
On the general tab, the lower your render distance, the less laggy Minecraft 1.20.6 will be. We recommend an 8 render distance for the most FPS, but you can go lower if you need to. For Simulation Distance, turn that all the way down. It’s worth mentioning as well to see max FPS, turn off VSync and set Max Framerate to unlimited. I do recommend turning on VSync once you see your max Minecraft FPS though.
On the “Quality” tab, turn graphics to Fancy, clouds off, weather and leaves to fast, particles to minimal, smooth lighting should be turned off, biome blend can be set to 1, entity distance can go to 50% and turn off entity shaders and vignette. Mipmap levels should be set to 0 as well.
The performance tab is easy, but it is one of the best Minecraft lag fix to boost FPS. On this tab, leave chunk update threads to default and turn everything else on this tab on.
The advanced tab should just have use persistent mapping on. This isn’t a huge different to lag in Minecraft 1.20.6, but it is worth doing.
On the Animations tab and the particles tab, turn off the “All” options. This can have a great FPS boost depending on the laptop or PC you are playing Minecraft 1.20.6 on.
The rest of your video settings can be left the same as they don’t provide much of a performance boost for Minecraft 1.20.6.
Now, when you go into Minecraft, you will be able to see your FPS by press F5 on your keyboard. This will show you your FPS in the top left. The higher the FPS the better, but you only need 30 FPS to play Minecraft.
Nevertheless, you now know how to make Minecraft 1.20.6 less laggy. If you have any questions about how to fix lag in Minecraft 1.20.6, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
However, if we did help you make Minecraft run smoother on your laptop or PC, be sure to give the video a thumbs up and subscribe. Thank you in advance!

From cartoon and medieval to realistic and similar to vanilla, there is something on that list for everyone.
When downloading texture packs, you will most likely download them from CurseForge, Modrinth, or a website managed by the texture pack creator themselves. No matter where you download a resource pack from for 1.20.6, make sure that you are using a trusted source. It is also work nothing that most resource packs for 1.20+ will work in 1.20.6.

We also show you where you can download some amazing 1.20.6 compatible Minecraft maps, and then take and install those Minecraft maps in 1.20.6!
First off, let’s start off with how to download maps in Minecraft 1.20.6. You can find a link in the description above to download some amazing worlds for Minecraft 1.20.6. This is our list of the best maps for Minecraft, and it includes all kinds of maps. If you want a survival map, puzzle map, parkour map, horror map, pvp map, or more, that list has tons of different map genres for you to check out.
When you click to download a map, it will take you to that maps official download page. Make sure when downloading a map, it is from a trusted source such as MC Maps or CurseForge.
After you have downloaded your Minecraft worlds, you will need to prepare them to be installed in 1.20.6. This is done by extracting them. Right-click on any of the maps you have downloaded, select “Extract” and click “Extract All”. Your Minecraft map will not extract into a folder.
Open this folder and keep opening folder until you see “DIM1”, “DIM-1”, “region” and other folders and files. Click the back arrow in the top left and drag-and-drop this folder to your desktop. This is the folder we will add to Minecraft. Repeat this for any Minecraft 1.20.6 maps you want to install.
The first step of how to install your Minecraft maps in Java Edition 1.20.6 is opening up the Minecraft launcher. Optifine 1.20.6 Alterative!: youtu.be/IngGjrAioD4
Get a 1.20.6 Minimap!: youtu.be/wTPj_agqQ0c
About this video: This video will show you exactly how to make a modded Minecraft server in 1.20.6 to start playing modded Minecraft with your friends. No matter what kind of Minecraft 1.20.6 Forge mods you want to use, this video will show you how to add those mods to your Minecraft server.
Before we get started, it is worth noting that we will be making a Forge 1.20.6 server. That means that only Forge mods will work on this server. However, if you want to use Fabric or NeoForge mods, we do have dedicated guides on those as well.
First things first, we need to download the Forge installer. There is a link in the description above to download the Forge installer. This will take you our guide on getting Forge in singleplayer. This is good because you can send the guide to your friends as they will need to install Forge and all the mods you add to the server locally in order to join.
On this page, click “Download Forge” to go to Forge’s download page. On this page, select Forge 1.20.6 in the left-hand side bar and click “Installer” under the Download Latest section. That will take you to a page where you wait 10 seconds and click “Skip Ad” in the top right. Forge will then begin downloading.
After Forge has downloaded, we can open it with Java. You may need to get Java 21 as that is now required for modded Minecraft servers in 1.20.6. There is a link to get Java 21 in the description above.
In the Forge installer, first click install client and click okay. This will install Forge into Minecraft.
Next, create a “Modded Minecraft Server 1.20.6” folder on your desktop. Then, open up the Forge Installer again. Select “Install” sever and click the three dots in the red box that appears. Find and select the “Modded Minecraft Server 1.20.6” folder you created, and click install. All of the files and folders need for a Minecraft modded server will download and install into this folder.
Open your modded server folder, and double click the run.bat file. The server will try to start, but it will fail. You need to now agree to the Minecraft eula. Open the eula.txt and change eula=false to eula=true and save the file assuming you agree to the Minecraft eula.
Double-click the run.bat file again, and your modded Minecraft Forge server will start. You can join using the IP address “localhost”, but for your friends to join, you will need to port forward. This is covered in-depth in the video, but specifically, you need forward port 25565 on the TCP and UDP protocols.
To add mods to your server, just add them to the “mods” folder on the server and restart it. When you do, your mods will be active. To join the server with the mods installed though, you will need to install them in your local mods folder as well. This is because ever mod needs to be on the server and in your local mods folder.
At this point though, you now know how to make a modded Minecraft server in 1.20.6.If you have any questions about how to start a Minecraft Forge server in 1.20.6, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did help you learn how to play modded Minecraft with your friends, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very, very much in advance!

We will be using the Forge mod loader for 1.20.6, but if you are looking to get Minecraft mods for another installer, we have guides on all of the popular Minecraft mod loaders for 1.20.6 mods.
Why would you want to learn how to install mods in Minecraft 1.20.6? Well, mods allow you to customize and change Minecraft to be exactly how you want it adding features like new mods, building blocks, dimensions, or even just quality of life features.

Both of these are linked in the description above alongside the mods we are installing in this video - JourneyMap and Tree Harvester.
When downloading your Minecraft mods, it is extremely important that your mods are for the Forge mod loader and Minecraft version 1.20.6. If they aren’t for Forge 1.20.6, they will not work, so keep that in mind when you are looking for mods to download. You also need to be on the look out for library or compatibility mods. These are mods that are needed for other mods to work, and can often cause Minecraft to not start if they are forgotten after you have added your 1.20.6 mods.
After you have your mods downloaded, we can move on to how to install Minecraft mods in 1.20.6. The firststep of this is opening up Minecraft using your Forge installation. Then, after you do this, go to the “Mods” button on the main menu.
In the bottom left of the mods menu, you will have a “mods folder” button. Click this to open your Minecraft mods folder. Drag-and-drop the Minecraft 1.20.6 mods you want to install into this mods folder. It’s that easy to add mods to Minecraft.
In order to actually activate and use your Minecraft mods though, you will need to restart Minecraft making sure that you are playing Minecraft with your Forge installation. Once you are back into Minecraft 1.20.6, your mods will be active! You can now use them in-game.
Congratulations! You now know how to download and install mods in Minecraft 1.20.6. If you have any questions about how to get Minecraft Java Edition mods in 1.20.6, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.

Best Texture Packs for 1.20.6!: youtu.be/npAjjzmdP8I
About this video: Optifine is one of the most popular Minecraft mods ever made. However, it can take some time for Optifine to update to new versions. Thus, we made this video featuring Optifine 1.20.6 alternatives with the goal of giving you the ability to Minecraft 1.20.6 Optifine features without having to download and install Optifine itself.
There are two primary ways to do this - using the OptiFine alternative mods we have linked in the description yourself and installing those using the Fabric mod loader, or by using the NotiFine modpack to get Optifine parity as quickly and easily as possible.
No matter what option you decide to use, you will be able to get OptiFine like features in Minecraft 1.20.6 including shaders, higher FPS, and even things like capes and zoom. Some of the main mods that achieve this are Sodium for performance, Iris Shaders to get shaders, and dynamic lights, the connect textures texture pack, and even the zoom mod.
However, the easiest way to get Optifine 1.20.6 featuers is using our modpack NotiFine. This has all of the mods linked above and more to focus on increase your FPS as much as possible while still having shaders and other 1.20.6 Optifine quality of life features.
You can download NotiFine on both CurseForge and Modrinth, and we have links to the modpack on both modpack launchers in the description above. The modpack has the same Optifine alternative mods installed no matter what platform you use.
Just simply search for “NotiFine” in the CurseForge or Modrinth installers and download the pack. You can move your singleplayer worlds over from vanilla Minecraft by copying the saves folder from your .minecraft folder into the NotiFine folder created by the modpack installer.
Once you are in-game, NotiFine will have shaders enabled by default and be setup to get the most FPS possible while using shaders. However, if performance and getting more FPS is your primary goal, you will want to go to “Options”, “Video Settings”, and “Shader Packs” and disable shaders. This will result in a significant FPS boost.
It is not uncommon to get more FPS using our 1.20.6 Optifine alternative modpack than with normal Optifine. I have gotten over 2,000 FPS when running NotiFine as bare bones and performance focused as possible. It is also possible to get a consistent 60FPS while using shaders with NotiFine, which is a great performance target with shaders especially if you don’t have a super modern PC.
At this point though, you know about the Minecraft Optifine 1.20.6 alternative mods. If we did help you download and install the OptiFine alternative modpack NotiFine and start using Optifine’s features in Minecraft 1.20.6 without Optifine, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out, and it means a to to me. Thank you in advance!

About this video: This video is our list of the best resource packs for Minecraft 1.20.6. It is also our list of the best texture packs for Minecraft 1.20.6 as texture packs and resource packs are the exact same thing.
The goal of this video is to give you a complete, in-depth list of Minecraft 1.20.6 texture packs for every style. From realistic resource packs to medieval resource packs to everything in between, you will fix the perfect Minecraft resource packs for 1.20.6 on this list, so let’s jump right on into it!
All of these Minecraft 1.20.6 texture packs can be found on our website at the link in the description above if you want to give any of them a try in-game.
The first resource pack on our list is a medieval style resource pack called Excalibur. It focuses on making Minecraft feel more adventurous with a great mix of dark and light textures while changing almost every texture in Minecraft to make it its own.
After that, we have Bare Bones. This Minecraft texture pack for 1.20.6 takes Minecraft’s textures and makes them as smooth as possible. In turn, this makes Minecraft look kind of like plastic creating a complete new and unique experience.
Crisp Revival is next on our list of the best texture packs for Minecraft 1.20.6. This is a medieval fantasy pack that has a great contrast of dark and bright textures. Things like dirt and grass are darker while wood and stone are a bit brighter. This can make builds look incredible!
If you’re looking for a cartoon style texture pack, Sapixcraft is the 1.20.6 resource pack for you. It is a comic book/cartoon inspired texture pack that has really makes Minecraft feel like a completely new experience.
If you’re looking for a mix between a medieval style resource pack and a realistic Minecraft texture pack, Epic Adventures is the perfect resource pack for you. As the name implies, Epic Adventures is focused on adventuring, and it does this by making things that you should explore a bit brighter and things like stone and grass that should be explored a bit darker.
Another popular medieval 1.20.6 Minecraft texture pack is John Smith Legacy. This is one of the oldest texture packs for Minecraft 1.20.6, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t one of the best ever made. It is the perfect mix of bright colors and dark texture packs in my opinion and my go to medieval texture pack.
One of the most unique texture packs on this list is Classic 3D. It takes Minecraft’s vanilla textures, but it adds 3D elements to a lot of the different blocks in game adding 3D textures to stone, wood planks, and more.
The last medieval texture pack for 1.20.6 on this list is DokuCraft. The main feature of DokuCraft is that it has three different versions - DokuCraft Light, High, and Dark. This is great because you can get the look you want in Minecraft 1.20.6 all from one texture pack.
Faithful is the next Minecraft 1.20.6 texture pack on our list. It’s goal is to take Minecraft’s textures and clean them up and make them better while still staying to faithful to look of vanilla Minecraft.
Last but not least on our list is LB Photo Realism. This is a Minecraft 1.20.6 realistic resource pack. It is by far one of the most realistic texture packs for Minecraft with the leaf textures really taking things to the next level.

Best Ways to Host a Minecraft Server!: youtu.be/B4UvESzKPbI
Get Sodium in Minecraft 1.20.6!: youtu.be/bZybqcPy4eY
About this video: If you want to play Minecraft 1.20.6 with your friends, this is the perfect video for you! We go over every step of how to make a Minecraft server in 1.20.6. From where to download all of the files that a Minecraft 1.20.6 server requires to how to create a Minecraft server in 1.20.6 to even how to allow your friends to join your server and play Minecraft with them. So, without any more delay, here is how to start a server in Minecraft 1.20.6.
To get started, we will need to download the Minecraft 1.20.6 server files. You can find a link in the description above to download the Minecraft server files. That link will actually take you to our complete text guide on creating a Minecraft server.
Once you were there, you will find a “Download Minecraft” button. This will take you to the official download page on minecraft.net to download the Minecraft server files for 1.20.6.
On this page, what you want to do is find the minecraft_server_1.20.6.jar. It will be a green link, and when you click it, it will start downloading the server.jar for Minecraft 1.20.6.
After you have the server files downloaded, create a new “Minecraft 1.20.6 Server” folder on your desktop. This is where all of your Minecraft server files will live. Then, move the server.jar file you downloaded into this new Minecraft server folder.
At this point, it’s important to note that you need Java 21 for 1.20.6 Minecraft servers this is because Minecraft recently updated to add this version as the required version to start the Minecraft server.jar. You can find links in the description above to download Java 21 and get it installed.
With the correct version of Java installed, double-click on the server.jar file. When you do this, it will create a bunch of different files or folders one of which will be called eula.txt. Open the eula.txt file with notepad, and in it you will see eula=false. Change this to eula=true and save the file. This is assuming you agreed to the Minecraft server EULA.
After you’ve agreed to the eula, double-click on the server.jar file again. When you do, it will go ahead and create your Minecraft server, generating all the files and folders, including your Minecraft server’s world, and your server will go online.
In order for your friends to join the server, you will need to port forward. Specifically, you’ll need to port forward the port 25565 on the TCP and UDP protocols. We go over this in-depth in the video. After you have port forwarded, your friends will join your server using your public IP.
You can find a link in the description above that will take you to our website where you can see your public IP. You can click to copy this and send it to your friends to join your Minecraft server in 1.20.6.
At this point, though, you now know how to make a server in Minecraft 1.20.6. If you have any questions about how to start a Minecraft 1.20.6 server, be sure to let us know in the comments, and we will try our best to help you out.

About this video: Sodium is one of the best mods for increasing preformance and boosting FPS. It actually can provide better performance for Minecraft than Optifine 1.20.6 can in addition to being updated much faster than Optifine. Sodium doesn’t have shaders, but you can pair it with the Iris Shaders mod to get shaders in Minecraft while getting an increase in FPS and less lag.
The first step of getting Sodium for Minecraft 1.20.6 is downloading. You can find a link in the description above to download Sodium. That will take you to our complete guide on getting Sodium for 1.20.6. On this page, you will see a “Download Sodium” button. This will take you to Sodium 1.20.6’s official download page on Modrinth.
On the Sodium download page, click on the “Versions” tab and find the 1.20.6 version. Click the green download button next to this version and Sodium will start downloading.
You will also need to download and install the Fabric mod loader for Sodium 1.20.6. Fabric is required for Sodium as it is the mod loader that Sodium uses to work with Minecraft.
There is a link to download Fabric in the description above. This will take you to our complete guide on install Fabric. That guide covers everything you need to know about Fabric with a text and video guide. All of the common issues you may have with getting Fabric are also covered in that video.
Once you have Fabric 1.20.6 installed, we can move on to how to install Sodium in Minecraft 1.20.6. This is pretty easy as you will already have Fabric. Open up the Minecraft Lanuncher and click the “Insatllations” tab at the top. Then, find your Fabric Installer 1.20.6 installation. Hover over this and click the folder icon that appears to open your .minecraft folder.
In this folder, you should have a mods folder. If you don’t have a mods folder, just create a new folder and name it “mods”. Drag-and-drop your Sodium 1.20.6 file into this mods folder. It’s that easy to install Sodium in Minecraft 1.20.6.
Now, play Minecraft using your Fabric installation, and Sodium will be active. To confirm things, go to options, video settings, and you will see all of the Sodium options you can change.
At this point, you now know how to download and install Sodium in Minecraft 1.20.6. If you have any questions about how to get Sodium in Minecraft, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did teach you how to add Sodium 1.20.6 to Minecraft, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very, very much in advance!

About this video: Minecraft’s menus haven’t changed for years, but in the most recent version, Mojang updated all of the menus add a transparent background to make things look better and overall much cleaner. They even changed how the menus look onces you are in-game making them more transparent and over all look much better and cleaner.
I feel like the new world creation screen and the multiplayer server menu really showcases the change the best versus the solid dirt block background that Minecraft has had for years.
Let us know what you think of this change in the comment section! We can’t wait to hear your feedback!

About this video: How can you download and install Fabric 1.20.5 in Minecraft? Well, this video is our complete guide on getting Fabric mods for 1.20.5 That includes how to download Fabric, how to install Fabric, and even how to add mods to Fabric in Minecraft 1.20.5. Whether it’s Sodium and Iris Shaders or JourneyMap, BlockUs, or any other 1.20.5 Fabric mods, this video will show you how to install it.
Starting off, we need to go over how to download Fabric 1.20.5. You can find a link in the description above that will take you to our complete text guide on getting Fabric. Here, you will see a “Download Fabric” button. Clicking this will take you to the official Fabric download page. On this page, click the “Download Universal Jar” link to start downloading the Fabric Installer.
Once it’s downloaded, open the Fabric installer with Java. You may need to download Java 21 as that is required for Minecraft 1.20.5+ mods to work.
Make sure that 1.20.5 is the version selected, and click “Install”. Doing this will install Fabric into Minecraft. Just make sure you’ve play Minecraft 1.20.5 before and don’t have Minecraft or the Minecraft Launcher open.
Next, we need to move on to how to download Fabric mods for 1.20.5. You can find a link in the description above to both Modrinth and CurseForge. This is a great place to find Fabric mods. We also have all of the mods we install in this video linked above. Just make sure that any mods you install are for Fabric 1.20.5 as mods for other versions will not work.
After you have your mods downloaded, it is time to go over how to install Minecraft Fabric mods in 1.20.5. This is actually really easy. Just open up the Minecraft Launcher and click the “Installations” tab at the top. Make sure that “modded” is checked in the top right, and you will see a “fabric-loader-1.20.5” installation. Hover over this and click the folder icon that appears.
Your .minecraft folder will open. You should have a “mods” folder, but if you don’t, just create one. Open the mods folder, and drag-and-drop any Minecraft 1.20.5 Fabric mods you want to install into this mods folder. This will work for any mods that are updated to Minecraft 1.20.5 and us the Fabric launcher.
With your Fabric 1.20.5 mods installed in Minecraft, we want to make sure that we launcher Minecraft using the Fabric Loader 1.20.5 installation. If you don’t, your mods will not work once you get in game. You must play Minecraft with Fabric any time you want to play Minecraft with your mods.
In-game, the only way to make sure that Minecraft 1.20.5 Fabric mods are working is to actually play/use the mod’s features in game as Fabric doesn’t have a mods menu. It’s also worth noting that a lot of Fabric mods require the Fabric API. This is linked above, and is recommended anytime you use Fabric.
At this point though, you now know how to download and install Fabric in Minecraft 1.20.5. If you have any questions about how to get Fabric mods in Minecraft 1.20.5, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did help you learn how to add mods to Minecraft 1.20.5 with Fabric, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very, very much in advance!

About this video: Texture packs for Minecraft 1.20.5 are some of the best ways to customize Minecraft and make it feel like your own without having to install any mods or make any changes to the vanilla game itself. That is why, resource packs are, in my opinion, the best introduction to customizing Minecraft.
This video is an in-depth guide on how to download and install texture packs for Minecraft PC 1.20.5. That includes how to download Minecraft texture packs for 1.20.5 as well as how to install Minecraft 1.20.5 texture packs, so let’s jump right on into it!
To get started, we need to download some texture packs if you don’t already have a texture pack you want to add to Minecraft. There is a list in the description above of some of the best resource packs for Minecraft 1.20.5. No matter what kind of Minecraft texture pack you want from medieval to modern to cartoon style, there is a 1.20.5 texture pack for everyone on that list.
Once you find your texture pack, the download process is a bit different for everyone. Most are either from a website owned by the texture pack or on a website like CurseForge or Modrinth.
At this point though, we can move on to how to install texture packs for Minecraft PC 1.20.5. This starts off with opening up Minecraft 1.20.5. Then, from the main menu, go to “Options” and “Resource Packs”. Here, you will see an “Open Pack Folder” button.
Now, drag-and-drop the resource packs that you want to install into this resourcepacks folder. It’s that easy to add texture pack to Minecraft 1.20.5.
When you go back into Minecraft, you will see that the texture packs that you installed are now in the “Available” section. To activate a texture pack, hover over it and click the arrow that appears to move it into the “Selected” texture pack section. When you click “Done” the texture pack will activate.
You can actually stack multiple texture packs on top of each other. This can allow you to use things like a weapons texture pack with another texture pack by placing the weapons texture pack at the top of the “Selected” section and the other texture pack underneath it.
You can also turn off a texture pack by moving it from the “Selected” section back to the “Available” section and click the “Done”. That is how to disable a Minecraft 1.20.5 texture pack.
With that being said, you now know how to download and install texture packs in Minecraft 1.20.5. If you have any questions about how to get Minecraft texture packs for 1.20.5 on PC, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did help you learn how to add texture packs to Minecraft PC 1.20.5, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very, very much in advance!

About this video: This video is a complete guide on how to make a Minecraft server in 1.20.5. Once you finish this video, you will have a Minecraft 1.20.5 server and be playing Minecraft with your friends. That means we cover getting the server files, creating a Minecraft server, and then port forwarding to join your server.
First things first, you will need to download the Minecraft 1.20.5 server.jar file. You can find a linke in the description to download the server files. This will take you to our complete text guide for making your own Minecraft server. On this page, click the “Download Minecraft’ button to go to the official Minecraft server .jar download page.
On this page, click the “minecraft_server_1.20.5.jar” text to start downloading the server.jar for Minecraft 1.20.5.
I also want to mention that you will most likely need to download Java 21 and install it. This is because Minecraft 1.20.5 uses this version of Java, and it will prevent you from starting a Minecraft server if you don’t have the correct version of Java.
Next, create a new “Minecraft 1.20.5 Server” folder on your desktop and move the server.jar into it. Then, double-click the server.jar file. Some files and folders will be generated. Specifically, you will now have an eula.txt file. Open this up, and change “eula=false” to “eula=true” and save the file, assuming you agree to the Minecraft EULA.
Once you have saved the server.jar, double-click the server.jar again, and your server will start. At this point, you are the only person who can join your server. For you to join, open up Minecraft, and make a new server with the IP address “localhost”. This will allow you to join and test your Minecraft server to ensure you can connection.
However, if you want to play Minecraft 1.20.5 with your friends, you will need to port forward. This is covered super in-depth in the video, but for a Minecraft server, you need to forward port 25565 on the TCP and UDP protocol.
After you have port forwarded, your friends will be able to join your server using your public IP address. You can find a link to get your public IP address in this description. Just keep in mind that this server is only meant for your friends and family and not meant to be a public server as it is hosted on your own internet.
If your friends have problems joining your Minecraft 1.20.5 server, it could be due to Windows Defender. There is an in-depth guide on allowing Java through Windows Defender for your Minecraft server. It could also be an antivirius or a firewall on your router.
With that being said, you now know how to make a Minecraft 1.20.5 server. If you have any questions about how to create a Minecraft server in 1.20.5, let us know in the comments. We are always looking for ways to improve our content and solve more issues as we go along.
If we did help you learn how to setup a Minecraft server in 1.20.5, be sure to give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very, very much in advance!

About this video: Minecraft is the most popular game every made, and with that, you may find yourself having played Minecraft in the past and coming back to it now. That is why we made this video. Our goals is to help you return to Minecraft in a way that ensures you have had a fun experience trying out new things and being as successful as you possibly can.
Starting off, it’s important to familiarize yourself with recent updates. This will give you an idea as to what has changed and what you have missed since the last time that you played Minecraft. It’s not uncommon for Minecraft get one major update each year, so by looking at what is in that update, you can find what goals you may want to achomplish.
And that actually moves us on the next thing you should do when you return to Minecraft - set goals for what you want to do. This could be as simple as going to the nether or as complex as getting max armor, or an automated storage room. The options are limitless, but having clear goals when you play Minecraft will ensure you never run out of things to do.
Next up, I encourage everyone who is getting back into Minecraft to play mods and modpacks, especially modpacks that are on newer versions of Minecraft. The Better Minecraft and All The Mods series of modpacks usually are updated to the newest version of Minecraft very quickly after the version is released, so that can be great for experience Minecraft’s new features alongside mods.
Something else worth doing when you come back to Minecraft is playing on a server. There are thousands of amazing public Minecraft servers out there all with amazing and unique features for you to experience. This can be a great way to play Minecraft with your friends as well.
You can also make your own Minecraft server if you want to play with your friends. There are guides on how to do that linked in the description above.
I also recommend exploring a part of the game you have never experienced before. For example, if you have never fought the ender dragon or warden, do that. Have you completed the Trial Chambers? Or maybe you have never beat the wither? No matter what, it’s always fun to do something you never have in Minecraft, so set that as a goal when you start playing.
As far as specific mods go, I didn’t want to make a lot of recommendations. However, shaders is a must experience mod. It completely changes the look and feel of the game, and once you start playing Minecraft with shaders, it is hard to play it without them.
There are also tons of different challenge style maps in Minecraft that are great. This includes custom maps like One Block survival maps, exploration maps, puzzle maps, and more. No matter what kind of map you are looking for, there is a great one out there to try if you start getting bored with Minecraft.
Another way to spark inspiration is by watching let’s plays. There are thousands of Minecraft let’s plays out there, and watching a let’s play series can be a great way to get inspiration of what you can do in your own world.
Lastly, just have fun. That is the most important part of any video game. If you find yourself bored of Minecraft and not wanting to play, play another game instead. There is no reason to play a game you aren’t enjoying.
With that being said, there are our tips for returning Minecraft players. What do you think we missed? Let us know in the comments, and we hope to see you in the next video!

About this video: The Vanilla Tweaks data packs are some of the most popular data packs for Minecraft. There are also Vanilla Tweaks resource packs that take and change different aspects of the game from texture colors to things like making leaves look more realistic. Truthfully, Vanilla Tweaks is one of the most diverse set of mods/datapacks you can add to Minecraft, so without any more delay, here is how to add Vanilla Tweaks to Minecraft!
Let’s start off with the Vanilla Tweaks data packs. This will also work with the crafting tweaks data packs. First, we will need to go over how to download the Vanilla Tweaks data packs. There is a link to download them in the description above. Once you are there, select the “Data Packs” option. Then, choose the data packs you want to and download them.
Next, find the file you downloaded from Vanilla Tweaks, right-click on it, select “Extract” and “Extract All”. You will now have a folder with all of the datapack .zip files in it. Open Minecraft and go to Singleplayer. Click on the world you want to add Vanilla Tweaks or Crafting Tweaks data packs to and click “Edit”. Then, click the “Open World Folder” button.
Here, you will see a “Datapacks” folder. Drag-and-drop the Vanilla Tweaks data pack you want to install into this folder. With that, you now know how to install Vanilla Tweaks in Minecraft.
However, to actually activate Vanilla Tweaks in-game, you may need to launch the world and run the /reload command. If you get an error doing this, open your server to LAN from the pause menu and enable cheats when doing so. This will let you run the /reload command to activate Vanilla Tweaks in your world.
What about the Vanilla Tweaks Resource Pack though? Well, start off by selecting the resource pack options you want on the Vanilla Tweaks website and download the resource pack.
After that, open up Minecraft and go to “Options”, “Resource Packs” and select the “Open Pack Folder” button. Then, drag-and-drop the Vanilla Tweaks resource pack you want to install into this folder. Go back into Minecraft, and it will be in the available section. Hover over it and click the arrow to move into the “Selected” packs section. Click “Done”, and your Vanilla Tweaks resource pack is now active.
With that being said, you now know how to download and install Vanilla Tweaks in Minecraft. If you have any questions about how to get the Vanilla Tweaks data packs, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did help you add Vanilla Tweaks to Minecraft, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very, very much in advance!

About this video: If you want to know how to optimize your Minecraft server, this is the video for you! We show you how to configure your Minecraft server to be lag free and optimize it to have the best performance possible.
First things first though, there are two categories of servers - vanilla and modded Minecraft servers and plugin based Minecraft servers. Plugin based servers running the server software called PurPur are the most efficient Minecraft servers out there. To get started though, let’s look at vanilla and modded Minecraft servers. These tips will also work for PurPur servers to make them even more efficient.
The biggest thing you can do for a modded Minecraft server is pregenerate your world. This will have a massive impact on RAM usage and prevent crashing. In the description above, there is a link to a plugin called Chunky. This plugin will generate the chunks in your world meaning that the server doesn’t have to work to generate those chunks.
After that, you want to make sure your server has enough RAM and a good CPU. Otherwise, it won’t matter how much you optimize your Minecraft server, no lag fix will work, and you will consistently have performance issues. The amount of RAM you need on a Minecraft server will depend on the type of server you have, the players, and what is being done on the server.
Lastly, you can optimized every Minecraft server type and improve performance by lowering the simulation-distance to 4 and view-distance to 7 in the server.properties file. This will make it to where your players cannot see as far in-game, but the performance benefits are massive on modded and vanilla Minecraft servers.
From here, we can move on to optimizing a PurPur Minecraft server. PurPur servers are optimized using the .yml files found in the server’s directory. The bukkit.yml, spigot.yml, pufferfish.yml, and purpur.yml are all in the main directory of the server. The paper-world-defaults.yml is in the “config” folder within the main directory.
We go over all of the changes that you will want to make to every single one of these files in order to optimize your Minecraft server. However, there is a link to a text version of all of these configurations in the description above. It has more detail on the changes that you are making, and it can be easier to follow at times as well.
Since there are tons of different changes in all of these config files, we suggest using that article or this video to find all of the different changes you need to make in order to get optimal performance for your Minecraft server.
With that being said, you now know the best Minecraft server optimizations that you can do in order to fix lag on your Minecraft server. If you have any questions about how to best fix Minecraft server lag, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did help you learn how to reduce lag in Minecraft servers, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very, very much in advance!

Best Minecraft Modpacks!: youtu.be/aAETu07Vkg8
Modded Server Guide!: youtu.be/oI4mslP50GI
About this video: This video is our overview of the best Minecraft server hosting methods. From self-hosting your server to the best Minecraft server hosting companies to use if you want to host a server remotely to even using Realms for server hosting in Minecraft, we look at all of the best and easy to use methods for you to create your own Minecraft server and play Minecraft with your friends.
First things first, let’s take a look at self-hosting a Minecraft server. This is how you can make a Minecraft server for free, and with it you are hosting a server on your own computer. There are some limitations with this in that you will need some tech skills in order to start a server yourself as well as a good computer and internet connection. You will also need to open a port on your router for your Minecraft server in order for your friends to join.
If you don’t want to start a server on your own computer, one of the best Minecraft server hosting options is using a Minecraft server hosting company. There are tons of different hosting companies out there, and in the description above, we have a list of some of the best Minecraft server hosting options. We also recommend checking out our company, SimpleGameHosting, if you are looking for the best Minecraft server hosting possible!
However, if you don’t want to use a server hosting company, you can also try Minecraft Realms. This is paid hosting provided by Mojang themselves. The biggest limitation here is that you can’t add mods or really customize the server, so if you want more than just vanill Minecraft, you will need to host the server yourself or use one of the Minecraft server hosting companies.
After realms, we have the options of playing Minecraft with your friends if they are at your house and on the same wifi as you. This can be done by launching the world you want to play in singleplayer. Then, pausing Minecraft and selecting “Open to LAN”. Start the LAN world, and your friend will be able to join your world. They can find in the “Multiplayer” tab within their Minecraft.
You can also host a local LAN server. This is similar to a self-hosted server, but you don’t need to port forward in order for your friends to join your Minecraft server. The limitation is that your friend must be on the same wifi/internet connection as the server. However, you can have mods, and all of the customizations you can have on other self-hosted Minecraft servers.
Lastly, there is using the Essential Mod to join your friend’s singleplayer world. This is a Minecraft mod that will let your friends join your singleplayer Minecraft world without having to port forward or have them on the same internet connection as you. The biggest limitation to playing Minecraft with your friends on the Essential Mod is that the server isn’t up all the time, and you are limited in regards to the mods you can use. It also uses your computer’s resources and internet connection to allow you to play together.
That is our list of the best ways to host a Minecraft server for you and your friends. There are TONS of different ways to make a Minecraft server though, and the more niche you get, the more options. For example, you can host a Minecraft server on a bare metal server. However, this is similar to self-hosting, which is why we didn’t cover it directly in this video.
With that being said, we hope we were able to help you find best best Minecraft server hosting. If we did help you find the Minecraft hosting that will work for you, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very, very much in advance!

About this video: Mojang has added a new weapon to Minecraft. It’s called a Mace, and this video is everything you need to know about it!
Starting off, maces are designed to be rewards for the trial chambers as they are crafted from breeze rods and heavy cores. Breeze rods are mob loot that is dropped when killing breeze. These are new mobs specific to trial chambers. Heavy cores are rewards for completing an ominous trial. This means to get a mace, you will have to complete an ominous trial.
Once you have a mace, you can use it to attack mobs. However, maces shouldn’t really be used to attack mobs like you do a sword. For maximum effect, you will want to use their special “Smash Attack”. This activates when you attack something while falling. Damage stacks the further you fall meaning that maces can deal nearly unlimited damage if you fallen thousands of blocks.
After the special attack, we should look at enchantments. There a re 9 enchantments for maces including Smite, Bane of Arthropods, Fire Aspect, Unbreaking, Mending, and Curse of Vanishing. However, there are three new enchantments specifical for maces.
The first is Density. This increase the amount of damage dealt per block fallen. This is great if you want to get the maximum amount of damage possible out of your mace.
Next is Breach. This is unique in that it reduces the effectiveness of your targets armor. I think this will be especially useful in PvP scenarios.
Lastly, there is Wind Burst. This enchantment causes the mace to create a wind charge at impact. Creating the opportunity for more damage especially of mobs in the distance.
It is also worth noting that maces actually case all blocks to break faster than if they were mined with an open hand. We will most likely see people building with maces to break buildings with faster.
And there you have it! That is everything you need to know about maces in Minecraft. Did we miss something? Let us know in the comments.
Otherwise, if we did help you learn more about the Minecraft mace, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. Thank you very, very much in advance!

About this video: This video is a quick guide on how to join a server in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Why would you want to join a Minecraft Bedrock server? Well, it is a great way to play Minecraft Bedrock with your friends. Whether that is on a public Minecraft Bedrock server or a private server that you have created yourself.
To get started, you will need the port and IP address of the server you are join. If you are joining a private server you have created, you will most likely have these. If you are joining a friend’s Minecraft server, they can give the IP and port to you.

If you aren’t sure which server to join, that is the best way to find one.
Once you have the IP and port for the server, open Minecraft Bedrock Edition and click the “Play” button. There is a “Servers” option at the top. Click that, and you will see all of the default servers that are in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Click on one of these and click “Play” to join it.
What if you want to join a server using the IP and port though? Well, this is really easy. Just click the “Add Server” button at the bottom of the server. Then, a menu will appear. Name the server anything you want and put the server’s IP in the “IP Address” section and the server’s port in the “Port” section and add the server.
Now, when you go back to the Servers menu, you will see the server at the bottom of the server list. Click it and click “Play” to join the Minecraft Bedrock Edition server. It’s super quick and easy to join a Bedrock Edition server using this method.

About this video: One of the coolest things about Minecraft is enchanting. It allows you to level up your tools and take things to the next level. However, do you know how to make an enchantment room in Minecraft? I’m guess you don’t if you have found this video. Luckily, we show you the enchantment table bookshelf setup that will let you get max level enchants as well as the materials needed. Let’s dive into it!
First things first, you will need 15 bookshelves and an enchantment table in order to build an enchantment room. In total the raw materials are 46 leather and 414 sugarcane to make 46 books. 45 of these will be used for bookshelves and 1 is need for the enchanting table. For the enchantment table, in addition to the book, you will need 2 diamonds and 4 obsidian.
Once you have 15 bookshelves and your enchanting table, it’s time to place the blocks for a max level enchantment room.
Start by placing the enchantment table in the center. Then, move around the enchanting table placing bookshelves on three sides. Leave a one block space between the bookshelves and the enchantment table. Also, make sure that the corners are left empty when placing the bookshelves. 6 of the bookshelves will need to have another bookshelf placed on top of them.
You will see particles flying from the bookshelves into the enchantment table once they are all placed. This shows the enchantment room is ready to be used. To actually enchant an item, you will need lapis lazuli and an item that be enchanted.
Place the item and the lapis into the enchantment table, and you will see the level 30 enchant light up. Assuming you have the experience levels to do the enchant, click on it, and your item will be enchanted.
Enchantments from an enchanting table are random.
With that being said, you now know how to make an enchantment room in Minecraft. If you have any questions about the enchantment table bookshelf setup, let us know in the comments.

About this video: Obsidian is one of the more unique blocks to make in Minecraft as you can’t really craft obsidian. Instead, you will need to gather some materials and combine them outside of a crafting a table in order get Obsidian in Minecraft.
Why would you want to find obsidian? Well, the two most common uses are probably an enchantment table and nether portal as both of them require obsidian in order to be constructed.
How do you make obsidian in Minecraft? Well, first off, you will need a bucket. This can be crafted from three iron ingots. Then, fill the bucket with water.
After that, it’s time to find a pool of lava. These can be found in the overworld, but more commonly, they are found underground. Once you find a pool of lava, make sure that the it is stagnant and not flowing. You cannot turn flowing lava into obsidian.
Once you have found your lava pool, place your water so it flows down over the lava. When the water hits the lava, it will turn into Obsidian. To mine obsidian, you must be using a diamond or netherite pickaxe.
It takes 15 seconds to mine a piece of obsidian as it is the hardest and longest to mine block in the game. I recommend leaving the water flowing over the obsidian while you are mining obsidian as this will ensure you don’t lose any blocks if there is lava under the block you are mining.
When you are done mining your obsidian, you can use it to craft anything you like! If you have any questions about how to make obsidian in Minecraft, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did help you learn how to get obsidian in Minecraft, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very, very much in advance!

About this video: If you want to know how to make a Paper server in Minecraft, you are in luck as this is the complete guide on how to create a PaperMC server. Why would you want create a Paper Minecraft server? Well, Paper allows you to add plugins to your server, but it also takes things a step futher. It also optimizes your Minecraft server making it much more efficient, reducing lag and increasing your overall server performance. This is great if you want to get most out of your server’s resources!
To get started with learning how to make a Paper Minecraft server, we will need to download the Paper server file. You can find a link to download PaperMC in the description above. That will actually take you to our complete text guide on getting Paper. There, click the “Download PaperMC” button to go to the official Paper download page.
On the Paper download page, click Paper and click the big Paper download button. When you do, Paper will start downloading.
After you have PaperMC downloaded, create new “Paper Minecraft Server” folder on your desktop and move the paper .jar file you downloaded into it. Next, rename the Paper file to simply “paper.jar”.
From there, right-click the Paper Minecraft Server folder and select “New” and “Text Document”. Open the text document and copy and paste of the the strings from the description above into it. Then, click “File” and “Save As”. Name the file “run.bat”, and make sure to set the Save Type As to “All Files”. Finally, save the run.bat file.
Now, we can start our Paper server. Do this by double-clicking the run.bat file. When you do, the server will start. However, it will fail. Some files and folders will be created though including an eula.txt file. Open this and change “eula=false” to “eula=true”. Save the file, and double-click the run.bat file again. When you d, your server will start!
You can now join your Paper Minecraft server using the IP address “localhost”. This can be good for testing to make sure the server is online and joinable. However, if your friends to join, you will need to port forward the port 25565 on the TCP and UDP protocols.
After you do this, your friends can join your PaperMC server using your public IP address.
However, what if you want to add plugins to your Paper server? Well, you can add plugins directly to the server by adding any plugins to the “plugins” folder within the server directory. When you do this and start the server, the plugins will be active and can be used in-game. You can use the “plugins” command in the console to double-check and make sure the plugins are active.
With that being said though, you now know how to make a Paper server in Minecraft. If you have any questions about how to get a Paper Minecraft server, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did help you learn how to start a PaperMC server, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. Thank you very, very much in advance!

About this video: This video is our list of the best Minecraft modpacks in 2024. Our goal with this video is to give you a diverse set of modpacks that you can choose from allowing you to get the modded Minecraft experience that is best for you. That means there are all kinds of different modpacks out there. We even link out to where you can find more modpacks if one on this list isn’t perfect for you.
With that being said, the first modpack on our list is Better Minecraft Forge (BMC4). The goal of the Better Minecraft series of modpacks is to take to a whole new level. The creators of BMC4 set out with the original goal of being Minecraft as it should be. It features over 100 quests, has shader support out of the box, and is overall one of the best ways to experience Minecraft. For example, it has stunning world generation and biomes. There are also tons of new structures, animlas, and monsters, and BMC4 even has minimaps and controller support to truly complete the “Minecraft as it should be” goal.
Next up is DawnCraft. DawnCraft is designed to be an RPG modpack with quests, bosses with unique attack styles and animations. It adds in hundreds of new structures, mobs, and animals. As far as combat goes, there is a souls like combat system which can make for some of the most difficult Minecraft combat that I have ever seen. That’s on top of new biomes and all of the other features DawnCraft adds to Minecraft!
If you are more of a SkyBlock fan, All in One Modded One Block takes SkyBlock to a completely new level. This is like traditional One Block in that you start on an island and break one block in the center of the island over and over again to get resource and start building the island out. However, as you progress, your SkyBlock will turn into different phases. In total, there are 12 phases such as Flatland, Farmland, Underground, Astral, Magic, Nether, and End. This ensures you’re never bored as you progress through this SkyBlock modpack!
Are you a fan of Pokemon? If so, the Pixelmon modpack is for you! It adds in hundreds of Pokemon as well as battling, trading, and breediny Pokemon. There are Poke Balls, Apricorns, gym masters, and more. On top of this, The Pixelmon Modpack also adds in a map mod, and a mod that adds in over 80 additional biomes. This makes Minecraft feel like a completely new Pokemon game instead of Minecraft!
If you are looking for a horror movie style Minecraft modpack, the Cave Horror Project is for you! This is a newer but quickly growing modpack that is designed to be scary. When Minecraft turns night with this modpack, things start to change. New mobs appear such as special zombies and skeletons, and you even get visited by the man from the fog. You aren’t save underground either as you the Cave Dweller may come out to attack you and scare you away from exploring underground!
RLCraft comes with a warning. You are going to die a lot. This is because RLCraft is a realism Minecraft modpack that strives to make Minecraft more challenging and difficult. You have to worry more about resource management while fighting off dinosaurs, dragons, other mobs, and more. There is so much content in RLCraft it truly is insane. There is a reason it is the most popular Minecraft modpack of all time!
If we did help you find the best modpack for you, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very, very much in advance!

About this video: Learning how to port forward a Minecraft server is a necessary step if you are hosting a Minecraft server on your own computer and want your friends to join it. This is a quick guide on how to port forward a Minecraft server, but we recommend checking out our in-depth guide for more details.
As far as port forwarding goes, start off by opening up the command prompt on your computer. Then, in the CMD, type “ipconfig” and hit enter. This will give you some numbers. Make note of your IPv4 and default gateway.
Type your default gateway into a browser and hit enter. This will open your router. You’ll need to login to your router. Then, once you are in your router, locate port forwarding. This could be in apps and gaming, an admin or advanced section, a security tab, or somewhere else in your router.
Once you find it add a new port forward. Name it anything you’d like, and set the protcol to be both TCP and UDP. For anything involving the word “port” type “25565”. For your IP address enter the IPv4 address we found earlier or select the device you are making the server on.
Save the port forward, and you are done! Your friends can now join using your public IP address!
Let us know if you have any questions about how to port forward a Minecraft server. We’re here to help, and be sure to check out the long form video on port forwarding for even more help and the in-depth guide!

To get started, you will want to open up your main Minecraft server directory. Here, you should have your server files such as your world folder and a file called server.properties.
Open the server.properties file, and in it, you will see a “difficulty=” setting. This is where you will set your Minecraft server’s difficulty. The options are peaceful, easy, normal, and hard. By default, the server difficulty for Minecraft is easy.
To change the difficulty though, set the difficulty= like to “difficulty=hard” to change your server’s difficulty to hard. If you wanted to change it to normal, you would simply change it to “difficulty=normal”.
After you change your difficulty, make sure to save your server.properties file. At this point, you will need to start or restart your server for the change of difficulty to take effect.
Once you are in-game, you can use the /difficulty command assuming you are OP’d on the server to check your Minecraft server’s difficulty. You can use the command to change your server’s difficulty as well, but it will reset when you restart the server.
At this point thought, you now know how to change server difficulty in Minecraft. If you have any questions about how to change the difficulty on a Minecraft server, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did help you learn how to set the difficulty of a Minecraft server, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. Thank you very, very much in advance!

About this video: This video is our complete guide on how to make a Bukkit server in Minecraft. This will allow you to add plugins to your server, and it is actually what other server software such as Spigot, Paper, and PurPur are based on. Because of this, you should generally be using Paper when starting a Minecraft server with plugins, but you don’t have to. That’s why we made this video on how to start a Bukkit Minecraft server. Let’s get into it!
First things first, you will need to download the Minecraft Bukkit server file. You can find a link to download Bukkit in the description above. This will take you to the our complete text guide on making a Bukkit server. Once you are there, click the “Download Bukkit” button to go to the download page for your Bukkit server.
On this page, find the version of Minecraft Bukkit you want, and click “Download” next to this version to be taken to the download page for that specific version. On this page, click on the “Craftbukkit-version.jar” text to start download Bukkit for Minecraft.
After it is downloaded, create a new folder on your desktop called “Bukkit Server” on your desktop and move the Craftbukkit file you downloaded into it.
Now, we need to create a new text document in this folder by right clicking and selecting “New” and “Text Document”. Open this text document and copy and paste the code from the description above corresponding with the about it RAM that you want for your Bukkit Minecraft server. Then, click file and save as. Name the file “run.bat” and set the save type as to “All Files”. Finally, save this file. You’ll now have a run.bat before.
Next, rename the Craftbukkit.jar file to simply “bukkit.jar”. Double-click the run.bat file after this, and the server will attempt to start. However, the server will fail, but you’ll have an eula.txt file. Open this in notepad and change “eula=false” to “eula=true” save this file and double click the run.bat file again. The server will now start!
At this point, you can join your Bukkit server using the IP address “localhost”. You can even add plugins to your Bukkit Minecraft server by downloading them and adding to the “plugins” folder in your main server directory. However, if you want your friends to join, you will need to port forward.
There is an in-depth guide on port forwarding for Minecraft servers, including Bukkit server, in the description above. The quick overview though is that you need to forward port 25565 on the TCP and UDP protocols. That sounds difficult, but our port forwarding guide works to make things as simple and easy as possible.

About this video: If you want to know how to download and install datapacks on a Minecraft server, this is the video for you. Our goal is to help you learn how to add data packs to a Minecraft server no matter what the Minecraft version or data pack your are installing. This will work with any Minecraft data packs that are sever compatible, so without anymore delay, here is how to get data packs on your Minecraft server!
First things first, you will need to download data packs for your Minecraft server. There are tons of different data packs out there, and there is a list in the description above where you can find our list of the best data packs for Minecraft. However, this tutorial will allow you to add any data pack to your Minecraft server.
There are some things you will need to check before adding a data pack to a Minecraft server though. Specifically, you will need to make sure that the datapack is for the same version of Minecraft as the server. If it isn’t, the datapack won’t work once it is installed on your Minecraft server. Also, it is worth noting that some data packs simply aren’t server-compatible. In those cases, the data pack won’t work on the server no matter what.
After you have your data packs downloaded, you will need to make sure that you have the correct files ready to add to the server. Some datapacks will need to be unzipped before they are installed. Usually, in these cases, you will need to extra the datapack. Doing so will give you a folder with additional .zip files that don’t need to be extracted as they will be name of the individual datapacks you downloaded.
With your data packs downloaded, you will want to stop your server if you haven’t already before installing the data packs on the server.
After your server is stopped, open up your many server directory. Here, you will have a “world” folder. Open this folder, and you will see a “datapacks” folder. Open that folder. This is where you will add all of the datapacks that you want to install on your server. Any data pack that you want to add to your Minecraft server will go into the “datapacks” folder.
Once you have added your datapacks to this folder, start your server. You may need to run the /reload command from the server’s console to activate your datapacks after the server has started.
Now, you will be able to test the datapacks on the server, and they should be working. If not, confirm that they are server-compatible. This can sometimes be listed on the datapack’s download page as well as make sure that the data pack is for the same version of Minecraft as your server.
At this point though, you now know how to add data packs to your Minecraft server. If you have any questions about how to add data packs to a Minecraft server, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did help you download and install data packs on a Minecraft server, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. Thank you very, very much in advance!

About this video: Making a modded Minecraft server is a great way to enjoy all that modded Minecraft has to offer by playing with your friends. This is great because many mods are better when playing with other people!
The first step of learning how to make a modded Minecraft server is downloading Forge. For this modded server, we will be using Minecraft Forge because it is the most popular mod loader for Minecraft. However, there are other mod loaders out there such as Fabric or NeoForge.
In the description above, you will find a link to download Forge. This is actually our complete guide on install Forge locally. This must be done by you and every person who joins the server, so it’s a great tutorial to have. On this page, click the “Download Forge” button to go to Forge’s official download page.
On this page, select the Forge version you want on the left-hand side and click “Installer”. This will take you to a page where you will want to wait about 10 seconds and click a red “Skip” button in the top right. When you do, Forge will start downloading.
First open up the Forge installer with Java, you can find links to download Java in the description above if you don’t have it, and click “Install Client” and click “Okay” to install Forge for your local game. Next, create a “Minecraft Modded Server” folder on your desktop.
Then, open the Forge Installer again, and click “Install Server”. A red box will appear. Click the three dots in the red box and locate the “Minecraft Modded Server” folder you created and select it. Then, click “Okay”. The Forge server files will now install.
Once they are finished, open the modded Minecraft server folder on your desktop. Here, you will see a “run” Windows Batch File. Double-click this and the server will try to start, but it will fail. You should now have an “eula.txt” file. Open this and change “eula=false” to “eula=true” assuming you agree to the Minecraft EULA. Save the file.
Now, double-click the run.bat file again, and your modded Minecraft server will now start! At this point, you can join the server by playing Minecraft with Forge and joining with the IP “localhost”. However, in order to play modded Minecraft with your friends, you will need to port forward the port 25565 on the TCP and UDP protocols. We have an in-depth guide on this in the description above.
As far as adding mods to your Minecraft server, this can be done by downloading mods for the Minecraft version you installed Forge for and adding them to the “mods” folder on your server. You will also need to add the mods to your local mods folder in your .minecraft folder as will every single person who joins the server.
When running a modded Minecraft server, every mod needs to be on the server and installed locally in the mods folder for every single person joining the server.
At this point though, you now know how to make a modded Minecraft server in 2024. If you have any questions about how to host a modded Minecraft server, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did help you learn how to create a modded Minecraft server with Forge in 2024, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. Thank you very much in advance!

About this video: This video is a complete guide on how to make a compass in Minecraft. This works in both Minecraft Bedrock and Minecraft Java editions, so no matter what, you will be able to craft a compass when you are finished with this video.
As far as raw materials go, you will need a piece of redstone and four iron ingots in order to craft a compass. Redstone can be found between Y15 and Y-64. Iron is most densely found around Y16, but can be found at any level. You will need to turn the raw iron you mine into iron ingots by smelting it in a furnace though.
Once you have your raw materials, place the redstone in the center of your crafting table. Then, place iron ingots in the middle of each exterior row. This will give you a compass. By default, it will point towards your world spawn. You can also make it point to a lodestone.
This can be really helpful in finding your back to your spawn when exploring. You can also use compasses to make maps, making them have anymore uses than just finding your spawn!
With that being said, that is how to craft a compass in Minecraft. If you have any other questions about how to get a commpass in Minecraft, let us know in comments. We will try our best to help you out.

About this video: Learning how to make a map in Minecraft is one of the best ways to be able to see an area from a top down view. This can be helpful for planning builds as well as see how cool your builds look when looked at on a map. Maps can also be used for navigation helping you locate where you and finding your way back to your base as well.
The first step of crafting a map in Minecraft is getting the raw material together. You will need 24 sugar cane, four iron ingots and one piece of redstone dust for each map that you are looking to craft.
You can find sugarcane next water while exploring the overworld. I’d suggest planting any sugarcane you find next to water and then letting that grow in order to make sure you can get sugarcane as fast as possible.
For iron and redstone, those can be found mining. You will need to use a furnace in order to smelt the raw iron you mine into iron ingots that we can use to make a map.
Once you have all of your materials gathered, we can finally move on to how to make a map in Minecraft. Start off by making paper. This is done by placing your sugar can in a row of three across the crafting table.
Then, we need to make a compass. This can be done by placing the redstone dust in the center of the crafting table and then iron ingots in the top, left, right, and bottom center slots of the crafting table.
Finally with your paper and compass crafted, place the compass in the middle of the crafting table. Next, place paper in every slot around the compass. When you do, you will get an empty map.
Take this map, and right-click it is in your hand. This will fill the map with the area you are standing in. You may have to move around some to fill out the entire map. You can see yourself on the map as a little arrow. When you move outside of the map, you will be on the edge of the map as a dot.
To add a marker to your map, craft a banner with wool and a stick and put it in an anvil. Name the banner whatever you want to marker to say using the anvil. Then, place the banner where you want the marker on your map to be. You can find the banner underground if you’d like. Then, with the map in your hand, right-click the banner. This will add the marker to your map.
With that being said, you now know how to craft a map in Minecraft. If you have any questions about how to get a map in Minecraft, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out. About this video: This video is our complete guide on how to fix the Exit Code 1 crash in Minecraft. The Exit Code 1 error typically occurs when playing Minecraft mods with Forge. However, it can occur with the Fabric mod loader and even vanilla Minecraft as well.
Before we get started with fixing the Exit Code 1 error though, it’s worth noting that sadly, this isn’t a one solution fits all crash. In this video, we give you the primary things to try to fix the Exit Code 1 crash. However, there may be other solutions that will work for you. If you find them, let us know in the comments, and we can add them to the article linked above.
First things first, the most common way to fix the Exit Code 1 error is by checking your Minecraft mods and confirming there aren’t any issues with them. For example, all mods need to be for the correct mod loader. Fabric mods will not work with Forge and Forge mods will not work with Fabric. If you have a mod for the wrong mod loader installed, it can cause the Exit Code 1 crash.
Another thing to look at in regards to mods causing the Exit Code 1 error is your mods being for the wrong version of Minecraft. Mods made for Minecraft 1.20.1 will not work in 1.20.2 even. Everything, including the sub version, must be made for the version of Minecraft you are playing, or Exit Code 1 could occur.
The last thing to look at in regards to mods is missing compatibility, library, and dependency mods. Often, this will make Minecraft not start with Forge and cause it to crash with Exit Code 1. Sadly, this can be hard to troubleshoot, but usually mods will list any compatibility mods they have on their download page.
Now, what if you have determined that mods are the issue. Maybe Minecraft is still crashing with no mods installed at all. Well, if you have checked the mods and are still having the Exit Code 1 error occur, it is most likely the graphics drivers.
This is commonly an issue with AMD computers with integrated graphics. However, it can occur with dedicated AMD graphics cards and Nvidia GPUs as well.
To fix this, go to the guide linked in the description above. This is where you will find links to download the updated drivers for AMD and Nivida GPUs.
For AMD, you will want to select the the AMD CPU you have and download those drivers. You’ll want to repeat this if you have an AMD GPU as well. If you have a APU from AMD, meaning your CPU and GPU are combined, you will want to download the drivers for that APU.
After that, you can install the AMD drivers similarly to a program. Even if you think your AMD drivers are up-to-date, they still may not be or need to reinstalled anyway, so it’s always a good idea to install them just incase.
For Nvidia GPUs, you will use the Geforce Experience App. This is also linked in the article above, and it will let you automatically check for graphics driver updates and install them.
Generally, updating your graphics drivers will fix the Exit Code 1 error in Minecraft, specific with Forge if nothing else will. It is one of the most common solutions for fixing the Exit Code 1 crash that works time and time again.
With that being said, if you have any questions or additional solutions to fixing the Exit Code 1 error in Minecraft, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did help you learn how to stop the Exit Code 1 crash in Minecraft, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very, very much in advance!

This will allow you to look at your Minecraft character in-game as well as show you how to use the third person camera angle in Minecraft. The third and final camera view is a straight on camera view place your POV looking back at your in-game character. This is perfect for taking screenshots as well as previewing your Minecraft skin. It could also provide a super challenging experience if you decided to play Minecraft in this camera view.
Now that you know all of the different points of view in Minecraft though, how tdo you change your POV in-game? Well, your Minecraft camera angle can be changed by pressing the F5 key on your keyboard. If you don’t have an “F5” key, you will want to press FN + 5 in order to change your camera.
Pressing F5 once will change your camera angle to third person. Pressing it again changes it to where you are looking at your character, and pressing F5 a third time will change your Minecraft POV to first person again. You can change your camera angle as much as you want in Minecraft.

About this video: This video is a complete guide on how to get a saddle in Minecraft. We go over everything you need to know about Minecraft saddles. First though, it is worth mentioning that you cannot make a saddle in Minecraft Java or Bedrock Edition. This is because saddles cannot be crafted. Thus, there is no way to craft a saddle in Minecraft. You will instead need to find the saddle through exploring or mob loot.
Starting off, let’s talk about how to get a Minecraft saddle from mob loot. There are two ways to always get a saddle, and that is by killing a strider that is being ridden by zombie piglin or by killing a ravager. Both of these mobs will drop a saddle when they are killed. Ravagers specifically are a great way to get them as they spawn during villager raids in the overworld.
After mob loot, the next most common way to find a saddle in Minecraft is by exploring and finding a saddle in a chest. The specific odds of finding a saddle are different depending on which chest you are opening, but a mob spawner room and the nether fortress are the most common places to find them. You can also find saddles in villager chests. This is a great way to find them in the overworld without exploring underground.
You can also get a saddle when fishing. There is a 0.8% chance of catching a saddle when you are fishing, but that means that you will generally find one within 120 catches or so. This is an average though, so you may have to catch more fish to get a saddle.
Now though, how can you use a saddle in Minecraft since you have found one? Well, camels, horses, including skeleton horses, donkeys, and mules can all have saddles used on them. This can be done for horses, donkeys, and mules once they are tamed. Just ride the horse, open your inventory and place the saddle in the saddle slot.
Camels are similar, but you do not have to tame camels in order to put a saddle on them.
Skeleton horses are a bit different though. On Bedrock Edition, skeleton horses can be tamed and be ridden with a saddle exactly like normal horses. On Java Edition though, a skeleton horse must be struck by lightning in order for it to be tamed and ridden with a saddle.
And with that, you now know exactly how to make a saddle in Minecraft. If you have any questions about how to find a saddle in Minecraft, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did help you learn how to craft a Minecraft saddle, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very, very much in advance!

About this video: This video is our complete guide on how to make a Minecraft server in 2024. We cover all that you’ll need to know to host a Minecraft server on your own computer and join it. This is all done using the official Minecraft server software for complete free.
There some things you need to know before making a Minecraft server on your own computer though. First, you will need a decent computer in order to host a server as it can be reousrce intensive. On top of that, the server is only meant for your friends and family as it is hosted on your own internet. You will also need a good internet connection and some technical skills in order to host a server. You will also need Java installed, and we have guides on getting Java in the description above!
With that in mind, we can now jump into how to create a Minecraft server in 2024. To get started, you will need to download the Minecraft server software. You can find a link in the description above that will take you to our compete text guide on making a Minecraft server. On this page, there is a link to download the server software.
Click that link will take you Minecraft’s official website. On this page, click on the “download minecraft_server.jar” link. The link will have the current, most recent version of Minecraft linked in it. When you click this link, the download will begin right away.
With the server.jar downloaded, create a new folder on your desktop called “Minecraft Server”. Then, drag-and-drop the server.jar into this folder. To start your server, double-click the server.jar. Some files and folders should appear, and one of these should be an eula.txt.
Open the eula file in notepad, and assuming you agree to the EULA, change “eula=false” to “eula=true” and save the file. Now, when you double-click the server.jar, your Minecraft server will start.
To join this server, you can use the IP address “localhost” in Minecraft. However, in order for your friends to join your Minecraft server, you will need to port forward.
There is a complete guide on how to port forward a Minecraft server linked in the description above, but the quick guide is that you will need to forward port 25565 on the TCP and UDP protocols. Once you do that, your friends will be able to join using your public IP address. Sadly, port forwarding is required in order to play Minecraft with your friends on your server.
I also want to note that if you want to add mods to your server or start a server with plugins, that does require different server software, and we have guides on both of those server types on our server article linked above.
Nevertheless, at this point, you now know how to make a Minecraft server in 2024. If you have any questions about how to create a Minecraft server, please us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
Otherwise, if we did help you learn how to make your own Minecraft server for free, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very, very much in advance!
