BBC Asian Network (16/03/2015)What Radicalized Jihadi John? (Nihal Show)TheAikenHead2015-03-03 | Nihal asks why or who was "Jihadi John" (Mohammed Emwazi) radicalized? It comes after the Islamist group CAGE UK described him as a "beautiful young man" and claimed Mi5 were responsible for his turn to becoming a radical. However, stories have emerged of disturbing behaviour from well before his first meeting with security services. The exposure of fascists CAGE UK and Mohammed Emwazi (Your Call)TheAikenHead2015-03-02 | Nicky Campbell hosts the phone-in show. After the exposure of Mohammed Emwazi as "Jihadi John", Nicky asks whether CAGE UK's claims about his radicalisation hold up [they don't!].
BBC Radio 5 Live (27/02/2015)Is It Racist to Say White People Are Lazy (Nihal Show)TheAikenHead2015-02-25 | After the recent "Immigration Street" episode which an Asian man claims white people are lazy, Nihal asks if such a view is racist, and how common that view is. Prepare yourself for some obvious racism, including a Sikh who doesn't seem to like black people, and of course, Birmingham's most famous clown - "Rab".

BBC Radio 5 Live (24/02/2015)Islamic State Dont Exist (Another Nutcase on Asian Network)TheAikenHead2015-02-24 | On the Nihal phone-in show asking whether "passports should be locked away" to prevent teenage girls feeling to ISIS, a conspiracy-minded caller suggests Islamic State don't exist, and they are simply a creation of the CIA/Mossad/the Men in Black/Martians, blah blah blah.
BBC Asian Network (23/02/2015)Racist Chelsea Fans (BBC Radio 5 Live: Your Call)TheAikenHead2015-02-19 | Nicky Campbell hosts the daily phone-in show. The topic is on the racist abuse exhibited by a group of Chelsea fans on the Paris Metro.

Charlie Wolf and "Rab from Birmingham" are amongst the callers.Nolan Show (Barrister David Osbornes Rape Comments)TheAikenHead2015-02-13 | Stephen Nolan interviews David Osborne, a barrister who made the news after making controversial statements on rape, and women who wear revealing clothes. (09/02/2015)Rabid Rabiah - But What About Jimmy Savile? (Rotherham Sex Abuse)TheAikenHead2014-08-28 | Nihal has another lunatic on the line. A Pakistani Muslim woman who can't stop ranting and raving about Jimmy Savile, Rolf Harris, Scottish shortbread, alien ray gun technology, and just about everything else under the Sun, in order to avoid placing any blame on Pakistani Muslims for the case of Pakistani Muslim grooming gangs who operated in Rotherham.
Nutcase Rating: 8.2/10British Muslim Supports Islamic State (ISIL, ISIS)TheAikenHead2014-08-20 | Want an example of a confused, ranting, raving, bigoted, incoherent, fascist, conspiratorial, hateful, Muslim lunatic who defends, justifies and supports ISIS? Look no further. This eejit rang up Nihal on the Asian Network.
If you study the psychological deficiencies of conspiracy theorists and the religious, like me, you'll enjoy this guys complete lack of awareness of his own logical fallacies, his nonsensical "blame someone else" rhetoric, and his utter failure to recognise when he is being corrected by someone (Nihal) with logic and facts at their disposal.Nihal Delivers Smackdown to BBC Bias LunaticTheAikenHead2014-07-18 | On the Asian Network, Nihal was hosting a phone-in on fasting in schools, and the dangers of children fasting. One lunatic tries to add an off-topic point about the BBC's coverage of Israel/Palestine, simply repeating the conspiracy tropes pushed by the likes of Yvonne Ridley that the BBC is biased towards Israel. Nihal gives him one hell of a SMACKDOWN.Arrogant Tax Avoiding Construction WorkerTheAikenHead2014-05-12 | A caller on Radio 5 Live's 'Your Call' brazenly defends his tax avoidance. Note how this arrogant clown struggles to understand basic English ("tell us more"), and then seems to think working in construction means one is immune from paying your fair share of tax!
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (12th May, 2014)Birmingham Mosque Stops Homosexuality Debate (Nihal Show)TheAikenHead2014-03-14 | Is it disrespectful to have a debate about homosexuality in a religious building? BBC 3's Free Speech programme came from Birmingham Central Mosque last night. They were due to have a discussion about when it would be acceptable to be Muslim and gay. An hour before the programme went on, the people who ran the mosque said they couldn't go ahead with the discussion.
BBC Asian Network, Nihal Show (13th March, 2014)Should Ritual Slaughter Be Banned? (Your Call)TheAikenHead2014-03-13 | Nicky Campbell hosts Radio 5 Live's daily phone-in show. The episode asks: should ritual slaughter be banned? This follows comments from Britain's chief vet John Blackwell that pre-stunning should ALWAYS happen regardless of religious objections. Predictably, the pro-religious slaughter arguments revolve around "tradition", the suggestion of "racism", and other nonsense about how slitting the throat of an animal while it is fully conscious, is somehow more "humane".
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (6th March, 2014)Nihal Show: Katy Perry and BlasphemyTheAikenHead2014-03-01 | Get ready for another bunch of offended wingnuts moaning about how 'oppressed' and 'under siege' they are because one of their cherished religious beliefs was "insulted" in a Katy Perry pop video.
Highlights include the arrogance of several callers who seem to presume that "most people" would recognise the name of Allah written in Arabic script! The host admits that he wouldn't. Plus, one caller blaming the ILLUMINATI.
The Nihal Show, BBC Asian Network (27th February, 2014)JVS Show: Should Halal and Kosher Slaughter be Banned?TheAikenHead2014-02-22 | Discussion and phone-in on the issue of whether halal and kosher slaughter methods should be banned in the UK. This is in the light of Denmark's ban on such methods. Among the highlights is a defender of the halal slaughter method, who makes a complete idiot of himself.Religion and Free SpeechTheAikenHead2014-01-31 | Maajid Nawaz, a Muslim who publicly linked to a photo of the "Jesus and Mo" cartoon and stated he was not offended. This resulted in thousands of Islamist clowns and fascists, along with their apologists (including George Galloway, Mohammed Shafiq, and Mo Ansar) attempting to get him deselected as a Lib Dem candidate. Shafiq is a fellow member of the Lib Dem party, I kid you not!
Featuring contributions from Mitch Benn, Nicky Campbell asks "Is Making Fun of Religion a Basic Right of Free Speech?"
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (27th January, 2014)Mo Ansar the Clown (Jesus and Mo Debate)TheAikenHead2014-01-27 | After Liberal Democrat prospective candidate Maajid Nawaz pointed out how he is was not offended by the charming satirical comic strip "Jesus and Mo", a mob of fascists and extremists launched a petition to have him deselected, and to (according to the comments from the supporters of the petition) have him executed/beheaded/tortured, etc.
So-called "moderate Muslim" commentators such as Mohammed Shafiq sided with the fascists and crazies, demanding Maajid be deselected, even though Shafiq is a fellow Liberal Democrat party member! Shafiq even went as far as to tweet "We will notify all muslim organisations in the UK of his despicable behaviour and also notify Islamic countries." He also went and told his MUMMY.
Anyway, on 5 Live, Nicky Campbell asks "moderate" Muslim commentator and "community leader" (he he) Mo Ansar why he supports the petition against Maajid Nawaz. Opposing him is David Aaronovitch. Now, listen as Mo fails to answer even the most basic request to answer a very simple question.
The only conclusion you can draw is that Mo Ansar is a clown.*
*With apologies to clowns.Mark Duggan VerdictTheAikenHead2014-01-12 | Nicky Campbell hosts Radio 5 Live's phone-in programme.
After a jury delivered a verdict of 'lawful killing', clearing the Met police of any wrongdoing after the shooting of Mark Duggan, this phone-in takes in a range of opinions - from those who believe the right decision was made, to those who believe all kinds of conspiracy theories about juries being "nobbled".
Radio 5 Live, Your Call (9th January, 2014)BullyingTheAikenHead2014-01-09 | With the rise of 'Cyberbullying', callers share their experiences of bullying. Nicky Campbell hosts.Does The Devil Exist?TheAikenHead2014-01-07 | Apparently, there are some wingnuts who actually STILL believe in the DEVIL. Quite a few of them ring Your Call, just for our amusement!
The BBC Spiel: The Church of England's new version of the baptism takes out reference to the Devil. Nicky asks: Has the Devil had his day?
Radio 5 Live, Your Call (6th January, 2014)Universities UK Humiliated on Today Programme (Radio 4)TheAikenHead2013-12-15 | A row erupted after an organisation called Universities UK published "advice" essentially saying that gender segregation was fine when it was requested by conservative religious speakers. Naturally, the Liberal Blogosphere (already on the case of iERA and other Islamist groups adopting this apartheid practice in British universities) started to make a fuss. Nicola Dandridge, head of UUK, doubled down and attempted to privilege religion over secular values. In this interview, a day before she retracted the "advice", she is STILL defending her and UUK's position. She gets a big smackdown for her trouble.
BBC Radio 4, Today Programme (13th December, 2013)Yasmin Alibhai-Brown Demolishes Gender-Apartheidist Saleem ChagtaiTheAikenHead2013-11-26 | An organisation 'representing' British universities recently (November, 2013) published "advice" on how men and women can be segregated for public events and lectures. This appears to be in response to the demands of Islamists and extreme outfits such as the iERA, who frequently book venues at British universities. The "advice" rightly got a lot of criticism, but Radio 5 Live found one muppet willing to defend the practice of gender segregation at public venues - step forward Saleem Chagtai. Yasmin Alibhai-Brown is given the task of demolishing his rhetoric and dodgy attitudes towards women, while host Nicky Campbell also pwns him towards the end of the interview. Good stuff.
BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast (25th November, 2013)Kenyan Westgate Shopping Mall Terror Attack (Your Call)TheAikenHead2013-09-28 | Nicky Campbell asks why some British Muslims are reported to be involved in the terror attack in Nairobi's Westgate Shopping Mall.Is It Right To Name People Accused of Sex Crimes? (Your Call)TheAikenHead2013-09-17 | After Coronation Street actor Michael le Vell was acquitted of rape, Nicky Campbell asks "Is It Right To Name People Accused of Sex Crimes?"
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (11th September, 2013)Should Britain Ban The Veil? (Your Call)TheAikenHead2013-09-09 | A private member's bill outlawing burkas, niqabs and other face coverings is on the list of motions to be discussed in Parliament later today. Its sponsor, the Conservative MP Philip Hollobone, says it will aid integration - and balaclavas would also be banned.
France and Belgium already have similar bans, is it time we followed suit?
Does the government have the right to tell people what they can and can't wear? Would a ban infringe on people's rights, or liberate them?
Should Britain ban the veil? Nicky Campbell takes your calls.
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (6th September, 2013)Richard Dawkins on Religion and Intelligence (BBC R. Wales)TheAikenHead2013-08-26 | Correlation Between Religion and Intelligence?
Richard Dawkins is a guest on BBC Radio Wales, who talk about the recent meta-analysis of studies that suggest intelligent people are less likely to believe in God.
It's not a great debate, with the host giving a couple of people far too much time to drone on about their own anecdotes and experiences, as though that changes anything! Dawkins does at least try and get the debate back on to the meta-analysis, and what that could mean.
BBC Radio Wales (19th August, 2013)Your Call (Abuse on Twitter)TheAikenHead2013-08-05 | BBC Spiel:
Caroline Criado-Perez was sent online messages threatening her with rape after her campaign for more women to appear on our banknotes. Now two female MPs and the historian Mary Beard have had similar abuse for publicly supporting her.
Both men and women receive abuse online - but why is it so often sexual and violent when trolls are targetting women?
Why do some men hate women? Nicky Campbell takes your calls.
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (30th July, 2013)Girl Guiding Without God (Your Call)TheAikenHead2013-06-20 | Another show where a number of grumpy Christians talk nonsense. ___________________________________
The BBC spiel:
Guiding without God - is it a good idea?
New Girl Guides will no longer have to pledge their devotion to God when they join up - after the phrase 'to love my God' has been dropped from the promise.
Those behind the move say it will make the organisation 'more inclusive' -- with new guides now being asked to "be true to myself and develop my beliefs".
So, is dropping God from the pledge the right move? Making guides more open, inclusive and relevant to modern Britain? Or does it just reflect a rise of secularism that's eroding long held traditions? ___________________________________
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (19th June, 2013)Bilderberg ConspirloonsTheAikenHead2013-06-18 | A variety of nutcases and lunatics (including Alex Jones and David Icke) gathered to protest in Watford at a hotel attended by the BILDERBERG GROUP.
Plenty of laughs, chuckles and guffaws are to be had hearing these deluded muppets.
Dr Paul Offit does the interviewing while (seemingly) keeping a straight face.
This is a segment taken from Episode 191 (14th June 2013) of highly recommended The Pod Delusion. http://poddelusion.co.uk/blog/2013/06/13/episode-191-14th-june-2013Woolwich Terrorist Attack (Your Call)TheAikenHead2013-05-25 | Info: ------------------------------------- The murder of a soldier in Woolwich has been labelled a terrorist act, the English Defence League have been protesting on the streets and there were attacks on two mosques. People are worried and tensions are high - so, what can we do to calm things down? How do we make sure we 'keep on lid' on what happened?
All morning we've been asking why this attack happened - we've heard widespread condemnation - and abhorrence - from politicians, the community here...faith groups. BUT we've also seen it labelled a terrorist act - and last night the English Defence League were protesting and there were attacks on two mosques.
People are worried and tensions are high - So, what can we do to calm things down? How do we make sure we 'keep on lid' on what happened yesterday?
305 callers - not very many answering the actual question, despite best efforts, but some good points made and plenty to go at.
Callers reflecting concerns over the media hype, the newspaper front pages inflaming things, our involvement in Afghanistan, the role of social media, whether these men are just mad or actual terrorists. Plus people talking about concerns about wearing Help for Heroes t-shirts. ------------------------------
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (23rd May, 2013)Is It Fair To Bring Race Into The Oxford Grooming Case?TheAikenHead2013-05-18 | Serious questions are being asked about how a gang of men - from Pakistan and North Africa - were able to groom, rape, and abuse young white girls in Oxford.
Similar cases have been prosecuted in Blackburn, Rochdale, and other towns. So is it fair to bring race into this?
Does focusing on race - or religion - detract from the real issues? Powerful men preying on the weak? The difficulty victims have in coming forward? What about failures by the police, social workers, local authorities?
Or is facing up to cultural differences vital to ending this pattern of abuse? Nicky Campbell takes your calls.
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (15th May, 2013)Is Britain Becoming More Religious?TheAikenHead2013-05-10 | Andrew Copson is a rare voice of reason and intelligence in this edition of Radio 4's rather anodyne 'You and Yours'. BTW - the answer to the title is "NO".
The BBC spiel:
On Call You&Yours today we'll be asking how religious is the British public and how has this changed over time
Church of England figures on attendance show a 'levelling off' in the long decline in Anglican churchgoing. They also show a continuing large presence of people who are "nominal" (non-church-going) Anglicans. That describes those who believe in God but go to church only once or twice a year for a wedding, funeral or at Christmas.
The other factor that supports this more hands-off kind of Anglicanism, is the steady increase in cathedral attendances, the big success story alongside Christmas churchgoing, of recent years.
Another sign of growth is in baptisms, especially of children and young people.
So how important is religion to you? Do you go to church? If so why? Do you attend the mosque or temple regularly? Or do you think it's not for you?
BBC Radio 4, You and Yours (7th May, 2013)MMR Vaccines (Your Call)TheAikenHead2013-04-26 | Nicky asks "Should you be forced to give your child the MMR jab?"
This episode predictably features a couple of quacks, one of which can only moan about "Big Pharma", and the other a woman who claims to have spent "10 years researching the MMR vaccine" only to state "boys don't need the vaccine because they can't get pregnant"! Thankfully, Dr. Evan Harris injects some much-needed sense into the discussion.
BBC synopsis:
Should you be FORCED to give your child the MMR jab?
One of the world's leading biologists says children who haven't been vaccinated should be BANNED from schools - and parents who DON'T make sure their children have the jab "a hazard to society."
Health officials in England are now launching a campaign to vaccinate a million young people against measles.......because so many children WEREN'T slipped through the net when they were little.
We've already had one outbreak of 900 cases in Swansea and the number of people with the disease in England has more than doubled since this time last year....
So should the jabs be COMPULSORY?
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (25th April, 2013)BBC Hardtalk with Daniel DennettTheAikenHead2013-04-02 | BBC Information:
Stephen Sackur speaks to Daniel Dennett, a philosopher who applies Darwinian evolutionary theory not just to species, but to ideas and religious beliefs. Dennett believes religion has outlived its usefulness, hampers rational thought and damages our species. Along with Richard Dawkins and the late Christopher Hitchens, Dennett is seen as a founding father of the new atheism. But do humans want to live in a world where atheism rules and religion is dead?Tommy the Ranting LunaticTheAikenHead2013-03-11 | Nicky takes a call from a ranting conspiracy theorist known as Tommy, or Tom, a regular caller known for his rants. Everything from Chavez, Neo Cons, and Big Pharma is mentioned here. At least, for once, he doesn't seem to blame Israel.
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (11th March, 2013)Any Questions Audience Laugh At Mans NameTheAikenHead2013-03-09 | The 'Any Questions' panel are asked a question about eating meat, and after a brief debate, the name of the next questioner causes the audience and panel to have a good chuckle.
BBC Radio 4, Any Questions (8th March, 2013)Groping and Sexual Harassment (Your Call)TheAikenHead2013-02-26 | Nicky Campbell asks if groping and sexual harassment are still problematic issues in the UK. Highlights here include a stereotypical "construction worker" who defends the concept of wolf whistling, and a strange (female) ex-cop who who thinks "women, gays and black people" get special privileges!
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (26th February, 2013)Why Do Home-Grown Terrorists Want To Blow Us Up?TheAikenHead2013-02-23 | After the conviction of four Birmingham Muslims to commit terrorist atrocities on a larger scale than the London 7/7 bombings, Nicky Campbell asks the question: Why Do Home-Grown Terrorists Want To Blow Us Up?
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (22nd February, 2013)Do Extremists Deserve Free Speech? (Your Call)TheAikenHead2013-02-19 | Do extremists deserve free speech? That is the question posed by Nicky Campbell on this edition of Your Call. This was broadcast shortly before Marine Le Pen spoke at the Cambridge Debating Society, an invite that was greeted by some protest.
Thankfully, the BNP fanboys seemed to still be in bed for this one, although it didn't take long for one to moan about "poppy burning". On the other hand, a member of Unite Against Fascism embarassed himself by appearing to claim that Yusuf Al-Qaradawi was not a fascist, and hence, not someone the UAF would protest against. That didn't really bolster his argument against free speech for extremists, as he seemed to give immunity to some extremists because they weren't the "right sort of fascist". Anyway, I'm sure the UAF don't all share his standpoint.
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (19th February, 2013)Pope Benedict XVI Resignation (Your Call)TheAikenHead2013-02-18 | Pope Benedict has become the first Pope in 600 years -- and only the second ever -- to resign the post. He says he doesn't have the strength "of mind and body" to continue in the job.
Is this a pragmatic decision by an old man? Or are there some jobs you just can't quit? Has he done a good job as Pope? Or do scandals in the Church - child abuse, Vatileaks - make this the right time for him to go?
Rachel Burden takes your calls live from St Peter's Square in Vatican City.
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (12/02/03)Gay Marriage (Your Call Phone In)TheAikenHead2013-02-10 | Some vintage bigots phone in to Radio 5 Live's 'Your Call'. The subject is about gay marriage, on the morning of the vote enabling gays to marry. Thankfully, there are plenty of voices of reason to counter the anti-gay moonbats, including hero Peter Tatchell.
BBC information:
Later today MPs will vote on proposals to allow people of the same sex to tie the knot in England and Wales. If the law is passed, will it be a great day for Britain - or a bad day for marraige. If marriage is a good thing, why not open it up to include as many sections of society as possible? Or have we lost our moral compass? Marriage is supposed to be between a man and a woman and opening it up to others could undermine it as an institution.
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (5th February, 2013)Are Christians Discriminated Against in Britain?TheAikenHead2013-01-20 | Enjoy more moaning and gnashing of teeth from religious folk who are under the illusion they are "discriminated" against because they aren't allowed to discriminate against gays, and flout health and safety rules.
From the BBC site: The European Court of Human Rights has ruled that a British Airways employee who was sent home without pay when she refused to take off a cross was the victim of workplace discrimination.
However, in the same ruling the Court dismissed three other cases of alleged workplace discrimination brought by British Christians.
Nicky Campbell asks: are Christians discriminated against in Britain?
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call (15/01/2013)Does Gay Marriage Threaten Traditional Marriage? (Your Call)TheAikenHead2012-12-14 | Today (12/12/12) the Government outlines its plans for same-sex ceremonies in England and Wales -- despite opposition from more than a hundred Conservative MPs. Do you agree with Yvette Cooper? Or would permitting two men or two women to marry undermine it's sanctity?
As per usual with these types of phone-ins, it contains a couple of God-botherers who enlighten us with their illogical ramblings.
BBC Radio 5 Live, Your Call, 12th December 2012UKIP Foster Parents RowTheAikenHead2012-12-03 | Rotherham Borough Council are investigating why children were removed from foster parents who are members of UKIP. Nicky asks: Does it matter what you think if you foster?
This includes a contribution from Mo Ansar who appears to suggest teaching a potential foster child how to pray is more important than giving the child a home!!!
