Mostly use blues and teals with highlights of oranges and reds in the signs, cameras, and lights leading the way. Not the animation, not the backgrounds themselves, but the compositing!!! I had the absolute WORST time trying to figure out how to put the animation and the backgrounds together in after effects and I kept having to retry over and over and over and it was just a nightmare.Anyways, after hours that turned into days I couldn't figure out how to key the animation green screen so it didn't look like poop but alas, I have figured it out! Then, I had to figure out how to stop the backgrounds from moving BACKWARDS and that was another monster all on its own. I'm still pretty new to after effects and its interface, so I'm taking baby steps, but I look forward to using it in the future.A HUGE thank you to SmolToxin for letting me continue to be a part of this MAP!! Two MAP Part WIPs - Ballad of Hollyleaf and Circles SketchbookRiot 2018-08-27 | I think I've decided that I'm going to take a small break from MAPs once I finish these two pieces so I can focus on schoolwork, other career work, and some other personal projects.Plus I'm like... drowning myself in adult work right now. I'll probably try and take on smaller projects, perhaps.Ballad of Hollyleaf:I uploaded two other unlisted WIPs of these parts and send the link to the host, but I'm not sure if they saw them or not :0Either way, this one is very close to completion. Actually the animation itself has been done for quite some time and its the gosh dang BACKGROUNDS holding it up. Just today I figured out how to export transparently in flash so I can then composite the backgrounds in so yay we're back on track now finally!!!Whew.Circles:I kid you not that WIP is the fourth or fifth WIP I've gone through. The two characters are my OCs Cabaret and Seraphina. I'm not going to tell you too much about their story quite yet though.----I just wanted to thank both the hosts for all their patience-- with everything I have to sort out in my life outside of the internet, I've been pretty swamped. How awful of me. Well, does this still count?This MAP part is for Artzipants's 2016 New Year MAP, thank you so much for letting me have a part!I humanized Edit and Delete because the MAP called for not so many cats/dogs, so i figured i needed the practice! I didn't draw the fedora because i haven't gotten accustomed to drawing it on humans yet haha. This was actually my first time animating humans.Never animate plaid, kiddies.----Story:There is actually a hidden meaning in here. The characters are Edit (me) and Delete (also me). Delete is Edit's alter ego, in which Delete represents negativity and Edit represents positivity. Edit and Delete share the same body, and i feel like I already explained how this dynamic works. Anyway, the message in this 4 second video is that my new year's resolution was to try to accept myself more, hence why Edit and Delete are accepting each other with a handshake. There is only one wolf in this animation and i tried to make him obvious. If you're wondering, the storyline is...-Dime's town (no, she's not the mayor, she just lives there) was attacked by a wolf that comes around every so often to terrorize the village. Dime gets back from the woods where she was hunting and comes home to find almost everyone dead. She hears a rustling behind a house and sees the wolf.
