Shiva, Grimnir and Europa (the 3 who got their FLB) all focus on longer battle imo since it takes time for them to gain 10 stacks needed for their 4th skill. I wonder if Brodia (Alexiel) will follow suit but I'd say high chance.
Europa's kit focuses a lot on triple attack and that benefits Gabriel a lot. Plus Europa's 2nd skill is perfect to keep Gabriel's 2nd skill up pretty much the whole fight. I'd say Europa also works really well with Vajra or Payila now.
- Skill 1 now does twice damage when enemies have Glaciate LV at 5 or higher
- Skill 2 now gives 5,000 shield and takes 3 hits to disable
- Skill 3 gives Flurry (turn attack into 3 hits) if foes have Glaciate at LV10
- Skill 4 give Europa and another party member next to her a unique buff, increase TA rate, normal attack amp and double strike every 5 turns. Also give autorevive and double strike right away. Only usable when Fountain Lotus is at LV10 (gain 1 by triple attacking and skill usage)
- Triple attack now deal extra 2 hits damage, reduce Mana Blast's cooldown and gives echo (bonus DMG) buff
- Also boost allies DMG cap by 10% now when having Water ATK up buff
Overall she's a very strong and versatile unit just like she's always been but even better now. Water has been getting a lot of stuff lately and I'm really happy to see.
I hate how the game forces us into a cutscene. At least this quest is not that long so it's okay.
Apparently there's another chain quest as well, gonna be for another time though.
CA looks really amazing too compared to the usual Tempest Blade.
Not much to talk about Wilnas. Current water characters are way too strong for him.
Thank god I got the Halu quite early on, make this more interesting, and more laggy too. w
I love the song, painful that half of the members who sang this song both have their contract terminated....not what anyone want to see at all.
We'll remember them forever.
Catura finally gets her FLB and while she might not changes much, she is now very strong especially in a CA focused party. Might not be the meta for GW or farming but it's gonna be great for full auto overall.
Skill 1 now activates the whole buff instantly, doesn't require 3 casts anymore. Which means we can spam her skills much more often especially her nuke (skill 2). Also mean we get to do 4 CAs from just 1 skills, really useful for cancelling omen.
Skill 2 is the same but since you get to CA more oftens, we'll be spamming this skill way more = a lot more damage as we can see at the end of the fight in the battle log.
Skill 3 reduces the cost when active to 30% instead of 60%. The skill itself is still not really that good but it's now easier to use, even though kinda niche. It's very useful when you want a lot of hits to cancel omen since the skill now gives "Flurry" buff as well (changing her attack into a 2 hits instead).
Thanks to this skill I don't have to use Grimnir for Galleon anymore.
Skill 4 increase CA specs for MC and Catura, gives HP regen and debuff removal to other allies for 3 turns. Also increase CA gain for MC and Catura. Since her CA reduces cooldown by 3 turns, she can also use this skill really often.
Overall, I think she is a useful all around character, much stronger now especially if you want a CA focused party. Only problem is full-auto with her will take a bit longer since your party will be spamming CA and skills a lot.
Extra point for her CA being so cute to look at.
A pretty fun boss now thinking about it. I still think Inazuma has the best bosses design in general.
On floor 12 I was supposed to pick Eula instead of Ganyu. Big mistake there but we were able to pull through. LOL
HOWEVER, the ball chasing thing is a big mess. I dislike co-op forced event gameplay to being with and this one is worth. You need precision to get the ball into your side and the lag is just annoying. Amount of reward you get also tied to the score you get, it's just tedious to do over and over. Not to mention the transition is so slow as well.
Guess I know what to write for the next game survey.
He pairs best with party member who can use attack skill often since it gives him the stack for his passive skill where he'll use Upheaval every time he has 3 or more.
No wonder why Genshin is the most popular game among Hoyoverse's. Also the fantasy theme is nice. Different from other Hoyo's games as well, make it feels like it's an actual different game.
This event is really good, I love the story with a bit of twist, and the fact we get more character interaction from the Inazuma cast. And Furina of course!
One thing that's a shame is I was hoping we'd see the movie as a cutscene in the end, even as a shorter summary cutscene. That's the only thing.
Payila is also a perfect pair with Vajra since Vajra has constant Double Strike buff which gives Payila faster CA gauge and more Trove's Luster stack to use.
- Slow CA gain since she doesn't gain from her normal attack
- Her buff boost normal attack, give a very strong drain effect, lower damage received and dispel cancel for 4 turns
- Her skills have long cooldown but can be reduced every time she uses CA, party setup is important here
- Has substitute
- Can give Double Strike to the whole party
She doesn't provide much in defense, she is very very strong on the offensive side though. I can't imaging how insane it will be when she finally gets her 5 stars.
Still this would have been a lot easier and faster if I hadn't taken it easy and try to see as many dialogues as possible.
BTW, I feel the potential is much stronger than in the past SRW game? Like the 90% damage cut is friggin insane, especially when the boss has so much HP too.
Although this is supposed to be the True Ending, I don't think it's that much better. It just provides us an actually closure to the story.
Story in the extra stages are much better like I've said. I like the fact that AoS was once a tyranny at one point and the Quaestors were like the Dreikruez, warriors fighting for the universe. Sadly the Quaestor, one of them to be exact, has became the thing they've sworn to defeat which I think it's a nice piece of lore.
Also the Ultim Fini and the Flosdeus have the opposite design too. Ultim Fini was a man while Flosdeus is a woman, both represent their own faction I feel.
Careleum and Iris decide to take the Dreisstrager into the pocket dimension and seal it there. Ending the era of Quaestors and AoS for good.
This game might be underwhelming, I'm glad in the end I feel okay with it.
Lastly, JAM Project rocks. They always make the final battle much better.
However, having only Stamen Bitols to fight is very tedious. Their huge HP pool is such a drag. Kinda reminds me of SRW OGG where we had to fight the Swordian Guard before Dark Brain.
Turns out Debonair is the one responsible for Cyclaminos's awaken. Of course she would be....
Basically we're just running around fighting against whatever Cyclaminos throws at us. The most interesting part is the dialogue for now since there is nothing new atm gameplay-wise.
By the way Cyclaminos is voiced by none other than the legendary Masako Nozawa, or Goku himself. Man now that's a real surprised. This is the first time we have her doing voice acting in any SRW game too.
We've been running around getting rid of Pillars of Light, it's now time to face the new boss directly. Also Caruleum survived?? Man I'm glad to see him even though we lost all of his upgrades from before.
A new enemy type? Now that's surprising for real, although they're still underwhelming.
Huckebein's new attack, the one you can see in the thumbnail. I'm kinda sad they decide to go with the choppy style of animation on this, in contrast to other Huckebein's animations which are in smoother style.
I just couldn't prefer the choppy animation really. I heard some people say they actually like it but I just can't.
Just beating the goons over and over again for 4 times (4 pillars). Also Huckebein somehow gets a new attack in one of these missions which I forgot to record that one. lol
As a whole, the Quaestor is quite a bland antagonist faction. They don't even have any important character apart from Caruleum and the Magister or Quaestor himself. Normally you're gonna have a few named characters to keep the story going and interesting with the original crew cast (this case being Az and Mitsuba). Their units are all look pretty similar which is quite boring imo. Although the lore sorta explain that but still.
As for the final boss, Ultim Fini's design is pretty good, I like it. However it only shine in defense and nothing else imo. Compared to Advent who we fought in a special mission before, Advent is way more powerful, more dangerous and take a lot more to take down. Also his attack animation is kinda trash if you ask me. It's like a Zweizergain wannabe or something like this. Very underwhelming.
Overall this game is pretty underwhelming imo. The quality continue to drops from the past game, from V to X to T and now 30. Story is average, still acceptable. The animation however is not that good imo. There are some series that get really good animation like Majestic Prince, Getter Devolution, Hi-Nu Gundam or even SRX. But then there are those whose animation are just so bad especially Gaogaigar Final. Even with Huckebein 30th, some attacks look great but then some look worse. They're not consistent at all.
Considering how much this game cost in total, I think it's kinda disappointing in the end. It's not a memorable game in the series for sure.
Also with the story of 30, there barely is any story or any unique character on the enemy' side. Maybe if we didn't recruit Gravalin then this stage might serve the purpose to recruit him.
Advent just has so much HP, as expected from the Z series' final boss.
In fact, I really love all Fontaine characters I got so far. I feel Fontaine characters are so much fun to play with and they are actually really really good too (Neuvillette Navia and Furina don't even need C1 to be good). Unlike Sumeru, I feel Sumeru characters are either so complicated or so simple to play.
I think they did a much better job with how the characters play for Fontaine, so far at least.
The gameplay part didn't take too long too, I quite like it. Also the puzzle one is pretty neat.
Happy to see it ends on a high note.
So what's the point for the ship anyway then....just to make some sense since they've already built it?
The only reason I could think of is that the ship is there to rescue people outside of the city or something like that.
The saddest and most shocked Neuvillette I've seen in any scene.
Note that Focalor didn't just execute herself but also destroyed the throne of the Hydro Archon. Which mean there will be no more Hydro Archon and all authorities over the power of Hydro is now returned to the Hydro Dragon sovereign (which is Neuvillette).
In the end it's another story with heart warming ending. I like the fact almost everyone makes appearance in this quest too (except Furina). Well done Fontaine!
A bit sad Focalor didn't make any appearance in Neuvilette's memory though.
We get to meet Apep the Dendro Dragon and learn more about Teyvat's lore in the past. That's pretty great imo.
Honestly after Fontaine I'm not really that impressed with Sumeru's people. The scholars are just causing problems for Nahida to no end. Many people in this quest kinda annoys me.
Also climbing trees is much less fun than swimming. lol
The story itself is nothing too special for this one. Just our characters solving problem together with the Archon (just like the previous Archons' story quest).
This story has some similarities to Furina's life. Also I heard Hoyo did get an actual singer to sing for Furina? That's really awesome if it's true.
Got grabbed a lot, a lot of random situation which I just adapted on the fly. Somehow I feel like I was just on pure adrenaline in this run. Some risky gameplay but it's the style I really enjoy. If only enemies aren't so annoying in this game.
Camera angle and BS random enemies behavior still is annoying though.
Even though the main story might make it looks like Fontaine people condemn Furina, most Fontaine people seem to still like her a lot which make sense. They seem to believe Furina had used up all of her power for the city too. That's convenient.
Only the people as Poisson seem to still hold a grudge against Furina.
This is hands-down the best Archon Quest up until this point. They throw a lot of twists and plot point at us.
Although the Fatuis seem to be taking more of a supporting role in this one. It's nice to not having them as the villain for once. Though I feel like Childe was just used as a plot device and kinda is thrown asides.
Furina really is the shining star in this story, truly the "Archon Quest" since it's focused a lot on her story.
I really don't know what's up with the Skirk. Celestia, Abyss, Fatui and the Hexenzirkel. There are so many mysteries yet to be unfolded. So much we don't know about. I honestly feel like we're just at the tip of the iceberg of Teyvat tbh.
This results in some annoying room to deal with, especially floor 11-1 first chamber and floor 12-3 first chamber. The amount of Abyss Lector in this Spiral Abyss is also quite ridiculous, but at least they're all Pyro which is the easiest one to fight imo. Having 2 of them is still kinda annoying though. Grouping them up is such a pain.
And I'm getting real sick of the "Dirge of Coppelia" boss in the final room (aka the dancer robots). They are easy but it's just that we've been fighting them so often already.
Furina is so much fun to play and refreshing to use. I really really adore her. I feel she's really good too.
The video cut abruptly because of the 4 hours limited time on windows game mode recording. At that point I was mostly done with stuff anyway though.
The sequence with Dr.Salvador and Bella Sisters at the end was pretty sick though. Really love it.
Also I just noticed his Neckbreaker gives more mayhem gauge than his other melees. Good to know.
Typical stage of teaming up and beating a series' boss. At least we get to fight Cowen and Stinger with Getter Devolution.
This event is no different, it's fun. My only problem is that the mechanics eat up a bit too much time when activated. Mini-game is a cool concept but yeah, it's a bit too long.
Story is really nothing special or new, but it's still sweet and nice regardless. I love to see this style of story, also with good cutscene to boost.
Apparently everything is all according to Venti's keikaku yet again. Nice one Tone-Deaf Bard. I'm surprised about Diona's lore though.
I'm thinking if we play game modes and listen to every whole dialogue the recording would be so incredibly long. As much as I want to do so, I just couldn't spare the time unfortunately.
Lots of Princess class ships at the boss but our girls also get a lot of bonus damage especially Royal Navy ships and USS ships. An all out brawl against the last of the enemy fleet.
No need to debuff the boss here in easy mode.
European Little Sister Princess (Rodney) is cool, but I think Standard Type Battleship Princess (Nevada) is the coolest boss in this event.
There is a vanguard fleet like in phase 3 and there is yet another vanguard fleet with PT Imp before the boss. What were they thinking when they designed this map seriously.
Luckily it's a TP phase so we could send some LBAS to deal with those nuisance. The boss node also is significantly weaker too since it's not the LD comp like in the 3rd phase.
Basically the first 4 parts of this E-7 is a raid on Normandie forts, which mean we're fighting against the same boss over and over again, only with different fleets. That's kinda tedious ngl.
In this run, the pre-boss node in Vanguard formation is the most annoying thing. The boss' fleet is almost all installation except for Supply Depot Princess. Which is actually a good thing there is no PT imp there.
She's very cute. In comparison I think this costume looks better than her original outfit, unlike Fediel and Galleon whose costume looks about the same as their original imo.
A shame Wamdus is not strong at all compared to other water characters.
Honestly that would make sense....
My bet would be it's the gateway to the Abyss like the Chasm. Maybe Primordial Sea is actually the Abyss Sea, who knows?
Doesn't that mean every being actually comes from the Abyss though?
Primordial Sea water is breaking out.
