Ford Fiesta Rally3 | Croatia V2 | WRC Gen RALLY Technical 2022-12-28 | In this second V2 video description I will be writing about the bogging down at the start.So after some playing around I have found that having the start assist option set to off is causing the Rally3 Fiesta to bog/stall on the start line regardless off revs of gear ratios on asphalt.If you turn start assist on you will not bog/stall on the start line but then there is no use for the handbrake.If you have Start assist turned off like I do then you will need to include the clutch as part of your start procedure which you can see me do in this video.Handbrake turnsKT have massively improved handbrake turns in this latest patch and you can now hold the handbrake just as long as they do in real life. However because of the wookie gear ratios for 1st gear, again because of the latest patch you also need to press the clutch in while performing and handbrake turn to pick the revs up just like you have to do in real life.Possible clutch issueThe Clutch pedal seemingly will not respond while you are on throttle after a spin. I am not entierly sure if this is simulating an engine stall but the revs do not drop to zero, nor do you hear an engine starting. You might want to look into this @Kylotonn You have to come off throttle, then press the clutch and put the throttle on again to pick the revs up.SETUP tweaksSlight softer springs and roll bars this time round with slightly looser diffs for the soft and hard tyres which result in being 3-5 faster in stage time. Ford Fiesta Rally3 | SWEDEN V2 | WRC Gen RALLY Technical 2022-12-27 | Yes, it is that time of year where KT Racing realise they have made many mistakes. The latest patch to the game changes the driving physics, setup parameters on the cars and fixes the throttle issue. So that means all setups that came before the update are now pretty much useless. Yay!So lets run through the changes from the previous setup.Springs and dampers are now softer than they where before but achieve the same effect before the update.With the diffs its just a slight tightening on the preload to compensate for the throttle actually doing what its meant to be doing. To compensate for the tightening of the preload I had to slightly loosen the braking.Finally and this is a big one... I had to alter the gear ratios and final drive because well the previous settings where no longer available and not usable at all.Final drive is now at max top speed, 5th is now at max top speed at 1.200 where as before it was at 1.00. This update has limited the top speed of the rally3 fiesta to around 110mph. It can go no faster. where as before I was hitting 115mph and it still had a little more to give if the straight was longer.If you put the final drive at the middle point it tops out at around 100mph and the lowest setting will top out just under 90mph.1st gear has now been adjusted to 3.000 aka max accel.WARNING! If the turbo pressure is not at max when you release the handbrake the car will bog down and crawl away from the start. 3.000 also limits 1st to 31mph. However if you adjust it to 2.900 first is limited to 42mph which bogs down no matter what you do (both examples are at final drive set to max). So the gearing setup is well... broken for this car but I have done my best.So with these minor tweaks and dodgy gearing because of updated physics, adjusted setup parameters and a throttle pedal that actually works.... the question on many people lips is.. can you get more time out of the car? the answer is YES... 3.2s to put a number on it and its largely down to the throttle peddle doing what is is mean to be doing.While I was editing this V2 setup video I decided to include a wheel and pedal cam only view point. Typically, driving with the default setup I was getting and 6-7 minutes of repair time driving at these speeds. With my custom setups I had managed to reduce that damage to around 30-45 seconds per stage. You WILL be constantly fixing minor damage to the radiator, exhaust and body damage even if you do NOT crash. This is due to the huge jumps featured in Finland. Top tips for Finland:Avoid the junction marker flags!These will damage your radiator and front bumper. Typically around 30 seconds total per strike. This is more than any other location in the game. Also if you tag one while in the air it will cause the car to rotate and in extreme cases.... make you 180. These markers should not have any impact on the car but sadly it does.Brake on the big jumps!Tapping the brakes just before the crest on the big jumps will compress the front suspension and reduce the arc of the jump. This will also reduce the impact with the ground and shorten the amount of time in the air. While driving the higher lock cars in the game I noticed the small inputs that you would usually work in a road car felt somewhat vague in DR2.0 so I also mapped out the Linearity to make the cars feel more realistic to drive.Advanced Wheel SettingsSo for setting I have opted for the Natural way. Max rotation is set to auto with soft lock on. So the game will change the lock depending on the car.If you want a fixed rotation for all cars, Select your desired rotation in fanalab and turn off soft lock in game.Wheel dead zones - follow me lead.Pedal & handbrake dead zones - you can adjust to your hearts desire.FanaLab and in game FFBI have tried to make these settings feel as realistic as possible.To achieve this... rather than just sending a car down a gravel stage at full pelt (I honestly wouldn't have a clue what that would feel like) so I decided to focus on known quantities.
