RAZER OSVR LENS VIEW (CES 2015) VRdudeBRO 2015-01-10 | Razer OSVR HMD - LENS VIEWThe resolution is 1080p but I do not think its a "pentile" display like the DK2. There were SO many VR demos at CES. I have a dk2 with a Nvidia 980 video card and I still get "judder" or slow downs at times....the demos they showed off were MUCH more graphic intense then the dk2 demos I have and they all ran butter smooth. (even the Unreal 4 engine demos)
Oculus DK2 TITANS of SPACE PLAY THROUGH & LENS VIEW side BY side! VRdudeBRO 2014-08-16 | A quick side by side lens view of Titans of Space followed by a complete play through of the NEW .4.1 build of Titans of Space! Some neat new additions were added to the DK2 version of Titans! The visual quality is (of course) much better and the positional tracking makes the demo fantastic! Looking over the edge of your seat and into nothingness (the perfect blacks of DK2) really give quite an interesting feeling!
Oculus DK2 RIFT COASTER - LENS VIEW - (Quick Preview!) VRdudeBRO 2014-08-06 | Here is a quick peek at the new RIFT COASTER. Made in Unreal Engine 4. The current build -seems- to be running at lower res the the DK2 native resolution. I've attempting to tweak the config files to 1920 but have not had any luck yet. I'll continue messing with it and see if I can get all features working. Just thought I'd though up a quick video showing what the NEW Rift Coaster looks like.
OCULUS RIFT DK2 vs DK1 SIDE by SIDE LENS VIEW Screen Comparison -VR CINEMA !!! VRdudeBRO 2014-08-04 | Here is another side by side comparison of Oculus DK1 vs DK2. This is the LENS view of a movie playing in VR CINEMA. The movie is a 1080p file. The screen shots do not look as good as it really looks in the DK2. This is in the default center of the theater position that VR Cinema starts you in. If you moved closer you would get much better detail as well. The comfort level of watching a movie in the DK2 has significantly increased over DK1. (obviously) In these side by side shots - you are viewing about 30 percent of what is actually IN the lens. (The camera is basically zoomed in into one section of the rift screen)
OCULUS RIFT DK2 vs DK1 - SIDE BY SIDE- LENS VIEW - Dear Esther VRdudeBRO 2014-08-01 | Why another side by side?! Why not! DEAR ESTHER side by side LENS view comparison. The colors are VERY different...the resolution (in person) is fantastic! If you have not played this game in DK1 (or DK2) then I would suggest giving it a go! Its one of the most beautiful RIFT experiences to be had. (even tho you have to use special drivers to force head tracking) Not many demos available yet for DK2. If anyone has a suggestion...feel free to let me know! Tomorrow....HD movies in VR Cinema! (unless someone has another idea? ) Thanks!
OCULUS RIFT DK2 vs DK1 SIDE by SIDE LENS VIEW Screen Comparison in TECHNOLUST VRdudeBRO 2014-07-31 | Side by Side DK2 and DK1 Lens View of scenes from TECHNOLUST. Quite a large difference especially in contrast. The game looks great in DK2. (especially for only being a Beta) In the black areas (like the restroom), it is totally pitch black as if you put your hands over your eyes. I have not run across the black smear yet but I only have stayed in the main room. Feel free to make SIDE by SIDE requests. Thanks for watching.
