Another song, another milestone. This time, I've finally delved into creating a piece of original music in the Hazbin universe, centred around a character who's become one of my favourites for his visual design and the potential of what his role and circumstances could bring to the show.
The general idea for the song was to show how Vox is a controlling business man who uses electronics and his powers to get what he wants. He can see the desires of others through their devices and their data, he can manipulate what they read and buy and his name is on everything as we saw in Alastor's comic. And yet, as was shown on the Instagram accounts, even he isn't able to escape the whims of someone who can be just as controlling and manipulative. While now rendered non-canon with time, I really liked this idea.
As a fan of the harder ranges of electronic music that often are underappreciated, I decided to base the song primarily around Hardstyle. It's a genre that is just as comfortable creating harsh and tough driving soundscapes as it is creating Trance-like melodies and structure. I felt this reflected Vox as a character quite well, having reached the position of overlord with his feeds and powers but also not being completely machine-like.
And finally, a MASSIVE thanks to Ayyy-Imma-Ninja for helping me with the original commissioned artwork for this piece. She worked with me on every step to create the appropriate setups for the story parts of the project and her attention to detail in every aspect from shading to expressions is superb. A brand new original song based around Verosika Mayday, featuring originally created backing music, sound design, voice acted story and artwork.
A long time request has finally come to pass! I'm super happy to debut a track about Verosika after so long and finally giver her the popstar treatment that I've wanted to for a while alongside Cycoriot.
Verosika has always had the potential to go beyond her surface level star and succubi appearance due to her ties to Blitz, her attitude of being jaded and wanting to best him for his transgressions showing up in every single one of her appearances in the series to date (hallucination or not). To that end, we constructed the idea of Verosika letting these feelings surrounding her former partner manifest during a concert in Hell, directing her ire in song towards the one who screwed her over while letting slip about how she turned to her own coping mechanisms as a way to move on.
For inspiration, this melding of personal relationships, themes of addiction and the way we react to them was extremely prevalent during the 2010s and the reign of trailblazers of pop music such as Lady Gaga. To that end, the instrumental is fuelled by those sounds and that heavy wall of electronic energy that dominated the landscape at the time, something that felt appropriate to Verosika's status as a powerful succubi as well as a celebrity.

A brand new original song based on the fate of Michael and William Afton from the Five Nights at Freddy's series, featuring originally created backing music, sound design, and artwork.
What better time to make a Halloween treat than on the day the FNAF movie premieres? This notorious indie series has been entertaining all of us close to nearly a decade with its creative character designs and gameplay, but also an intriguing mix of deep lore and mystery that only ever seems to lead to more. To me personally, FNAF 3 was one of the culminations of this potent mixture, and that was in no small part thanks to one of the entire series most iconic villains: Springtrap.
This human murderer turned animatronic monster has always been one of my favourite characters in the horror genre and I wanted to do a piece that would do justice to his insidious nature but also the story of how he got there. To that end the song takes on the perspective of Michael Afton, the son of William, who laments about how his father became what he is today while also knowing fully aware just how much of a monster he is through the events of Sister Location.
The track itself is one of the most complicated I've ever created, greatly influenced by the likes of modern dubstep artists like SVDDEN DEATH and Muerte, but also by the scores of the later games in the series with 80s style vintage synths and production. Using all of that, plus real libraries of horror strings and screams, I hope you all enjoy listening.

A brand new original song based the cast of Bendy and the Dark Revival, featuring originally created backing music, sound design, voice acted story and artwork.
Another new song and another new world to explore! The Bendy series' mixture of golden era animation mixed with a unique blend of horror and visual style has impressed me ever since the original beta chapters of the first game and Dark Revival was a big step forward in making the game's world more serious, fleshed (inked?) out and putting in some really memorable things I just had to explore in song.
Primarily, 'Regular Demons' is centred around the cartoon Bendy's journey to understand his place within in the Cycle, fighting off the discouraging voices in his ears from his true self as well as heeding the words of other beings that inhabit the dark halls of the studio. I chose to go for a mixture of both upbeat electronic instrumentation, but utilised a lot of the sound of the 20s/30s big band era to really make it pop in the same rhythmic way these old cartoons were made.
Of course, this song wouldn't be anything close to how good I think it sounds without the incredible efforts of all of my wonderful collaborators. I've admired all of these people from afar for a long time and it's been a pleasure to work with them, some for the first time, others welcoming them back! It's been almost a year to the day since the original version of 'Use Me Up' was released. Whereas the original was a love letter to the era of the pilot of Hazbin, this new special version is the same sentiment but extended towards everyone who has supported me ever since.
VIP is a culmination of a year's worth of progress and development with how I produce music. The house-like vibe and cleaner production, alongside with the newly written verses and vocal parts show what I hope is an improvement in my abilities as both a producer and as a singer too. The original version was something I was almost incredibly proud of and VIP is what I consider to be the definitive edition of that accomplishment.
I am also once again thrilled to welcome back Ayyy-Imma-Ninja to provide a new rendition of the artwork she created for the original. Reflecting what we've now seen in the official previews of the show, as well as the new tone and intent behind VIP's updates, she did a wonderful job at capturing exactly what I hoped for when making it. As I've spoken about before, March of 2023 houses important and turbulent milestones in my personal life and with my work. And for a while, it's been difficult to juggle and cope with it. But the support of everyone with not just the Hazbin fandom but the community of fan music at large has supported me and granted me the amazing opportunity to earn my living doing what I love to make these things for you. A brand new original song based around Sir Pentious, featuring originally created backing music, sound design, voice acted story and artwork.
What better way the send off the year than with a little bit of chaos? Sir Pentious has always been a hoot in his design, mannerisms, and his overall nature as a cartoon villain. Yet, like many of the Hazbin characters who are awaiting their turn in the spotlight, there is some serious intent behind his evil given the devastation he is capable of causing. I wanted to tap into that potential with this track, adding in more comedic elements compared to normal while also making it clear that he is determined to make people see what he can do.
To that end, the track features a lot of combined elements to really sell Pentious' dual nature as a soul from the past but one who is keen to tinker and embrace the modern in his quest for domination. Classical instruments and music motifs punctuate damaged-sounding machinery, drum libraries and synths to show that fusion of the two. Having Cycoriot come back to lend their voice to what many consider to be Pentious' rival in Cherri was a no brainer and I'm once again super thankful for them helping me out.
This track has also had an astonishing amount of INCREDIBLE artwork made for it, with many of the artists who generously agreed to take part being names I have admired from afar in the community since before I even started making comic dubs. A brand new original song based around Ralsei, featuring originally created backing music, sound design, voice acted story and artwork.
This is quite a change from my previous works, being set in a brand new universe that deviates from what a lot of people know me for. Deltarune specifically is something important to me because of the themes it inspires in both the premise and its characters, and Ralsei in particular strikes a chord among many and myself for a reason.
The intent behind the song is that it takes place just before Kris and Susie arrive in the Dark World for the first time. As Ralsei explains that he has spent his whole life waiting for the pair of them to arrive as part of the titular legend, I wanted to delve into what he thought about meeting his friends for the first time and what he hopes to accomplish. He's a character who knows a lot about the world, more so than he may let on, but I ultimately see Ralsei as someone who just wants to be with people he cares about. And that brings up some insecurity as a result.
To that end, inspired by Toby Fox's fantastic soundtracks for both Deltarune and Undertale are, the song is heavily instrumental in its chorus with an emphasis on melody and chords. I wanted to capture a whimsical mood to Ralsei's musings in reference to both his powers as a magic user and also with his idealised version of how he wants things to go. The electronic elements are meant to relate this back to the original 8-bit inspired soundfonts and visuals of the games.
I'd also like to give another massive thank you to Cycoriot for once again providing their talents in helping me create this project. Everything in the video that you see which is visual was painstakingly rendered by them with so much exquisite detail, from Ralsei himself to the text box that was re-imagined from the original game. A brand new original song based around Fizzarolli, featuring originally created backing music, sound design, voice acted story and artwork.
Come one, come all, I'm giving our favourite crazy jester some time in the spotlight. Fizz is someone who's always interested me since his first in person appearance in the series as his role in the story is a mirror image of Blitzo. He's in some sort of relationship with a more powerful demon, just like Blitzo and Stolas, but embraces his role within it without shame (so far). And that's saying nothing about the possibilities as to how he came to share so many qualities with his robotic duplicates.
The story the song is framed around is a hypothetical in the wake of the events of Ep. 7. Blitzo, returning to the old carnival ground where he used to be friends with Fizz out of some sense of "good" memories, is ambushed and taunted for his transgressions. I didn't want to delve into speculation as to how and why Fizz became scarred and what specifically happened between him and Blitzo, as this is information that will come up later in the series and I don't want to contradict that. Instead, the focus of the song is Fizz singing about his success, how he made something of himself despite history history and how Blitzo is stuck spinning his wheels as a consequence in contrast.
Of course, there is a huge thank you to both CaptainDoofkin and Adelaide “Letterd004” Smyth for helping with their wonderful vocal performances. Having worked with Doofkin's superb Blitzo voice before on a previous Helluva fan-animatic and hearing Adelaide's perfect tone for Asmodeus, both of them really help to make the song work in the way I wanted it to and I couldn't have done it without them.
And last but by no means least, a just as huge round of appreciation and praise to Handle, an artist who I have admired and loved the work of for a very long time and am thrilled to have them on board with the project. Every single variation of the art used in the project is astounding in the level of detail and little touches (their idea to include the balloon animals!) and they really deserve every bit of love for it.

A brand new original song based around Cherri Bomb, featuring originally created backing music, sound design, voice acted story, artwork and animation.
This is huge one. A project two months in the making, but one that I am honoured to have been able to assemble and put together. 'POP!' is a culmination of meeting and working with some of the very best that this community has to offer in terms of creativity and I'm so glad that you finally all get to hear it.
Cherri is in many ways a mirror of Angel being his best friend down in hell, a firestarter and a pyromaniacal attention seeker that harbours events from her past that were hinted at in the Addict music video. The aim of the song was to tap into both sides of this potential to her character, how she's flashy and makes herself known having dragged herself away from the people and times in her past to rise to the top of owning her territory in the pentagram.
Having both Cycoriot and Cherri's original pilot voice actor Krystal on board to do just that make this song what it is. Both of them are not only brilliant character actors for obvious reasons, but vocalists in general with their singing. I am so grateful to have had to chance to work with both of them to craft this track together and give Cherri her chance to shine once again.
The sheer artistic tour de force who helped us out with the visuals for this video deserve also all the recognition I can muster. From the cover artwork by the all round incredible person Silent Zound, to the credits piece by the super talented Martian with their unique style, and the utterly astounding animation efforts by Seb Velaz to make our track "pop", please make sure to check out all of their pages and links below to shower them with the gratitude and praise they deserve from every single one of you.
And last, but no means least, a huge thank to both Ark and Riri for helping me with assembling the opening story sections of this track and also assisting with the flow of the voice acting.
House of Leaves is book that defies the conventions of normal tales, a mixture of supernatural horror, critical analysis and explorations of the psychological across multiple narrators that challenges to reader to navigate a literal labyrinth that affects the book itself as much as the titular house. To take on a challenge such as this, I ultimately had to choose to focus on only one of those narratives, but I highly encourage you to read the book yourself to get the full impact of what this story tells us.
The scene I chose to recreate is taken from a transcript of an event during "The Navidson Record", a collection of recordings made into a film about the Navidson house, whose true nature is left ambiguous to the point that it may not even be real. With the potential for atmosphere and character performance from this section alone, I hope that you enjoy this little slice into the workings of a house whose insides are definitely bigger than the outside would suggest.

A brand new original song based around Husk, featuring originally created backing music, sound design, voice acted story and artwork.
This one is quite the departure from my previous song writing exercises, not only because of the genre this song is focused on, but due to the character choice being one of the hardest voices for me to imitate and expand upon. Husk is a character who has very little known about him in terms of actual canon, yet his potential as one of the hardest cases for the hotel to crack is very strong through how he conducts himself caring and feeling very little about his predicament and others around him.
The song itself is an attempt to capitalise on that potential, framed around the storytelling device of Charlie attempting to use her position as the hotel's manager to help Husk explain more of his situation and how he came to be under Alastor's employ. But Husk's answer is less in relevance to himself and more to act as a warning to her: that many others like him have already accepted that they were sent to Hell for a reason and that their issues aren't as simple as "behaving better" in order to earn their redemption.
To that end, having the incredible vocal talents of Cycoriot to play the role of Charlie in this song was a dream come true. Able to be a natural mimic towards a lot of the female cast of Hazbin through their own work as part of dubbing groups and being a fantastic artist in their own right, their aid in both singing and helping with the writing of these characters in the lyrics was such a treat to assemble and I look forward to showing you more of what we're making together.
And finally, a gigantic thank to the also immensely talented NinjaHaku21Art for providing two amazing pieces of artwork to use in the song. This project was actually started on the tail end of last year during the process of the comic itself being redrawn, but was subject to delays due to the scope continuing to increase as it went on. While initially simple, the added complexity of multiple voice actors and visual design behind the scenes did make it difficult, but I'm very pleased with the end result.
The original version of Ninja's comic was already brilliant, but the remake is even more accurate to the show's pilot designs and behaviours to the point that I simply had to create sound for it. Ninja also gave valuable insight into how certain aspects of this small story should be performed and they have my thanks for helping me make this as close to her original intent as possible.
I also want to extend a massive thank you to every single person who helped to create this video. The vocal talent was truly beyond amazing to work with and really helped bring out everything the characters needed to do in the comic. Coupled with some stunning visual edits from Carlos and this is easily one of my favourite sound design projects I've made in recent months. I hope you all enjoy it.

This is the big one. A daunting prospect. An almost intimidating challenge I never thought I'd be able to even attempt, yet alone make a proper song about. Angel is the arguably the most popular character that the Hazbin world has to offer and he already has an official song to back up that claim. To try and make something true to his character without coming across as a shallow imitation of something like ADDICT was difficult. This song took a lot of work, but I'm incredibly proud of the end result.
The reason why I decided to make it is because Hazbin is now at a crossroads. As of the premiere of this video, we've now had two character redesigns unveiled for the show as it transitions into a full series, we've had staff confirmations of who's working on it and the era of the pilot is coming to a close. That's both exciting and a little sad. The pilot episode, the comics, and especially the voice acting prowess of Michael Kovach as this character was a major inspiration to me when I first came back to YouTube. Since then, I've had almost two full years of making content primarily focused on this world and spent longer than that enjoying the universe that we've all come to love.
Yet another round of praise and attention is needed for Ayyy-Imma-Ninja for being a brilliant artist again for my music. The artwork she created for the song perfectly captured what I wanted to portray with both the story and the chaos of Angel's character. I hope you'll all shower her with praise for such a brilliant effort.
Last but not least, another round of shout outs to Corey Wilder for being one of the best friends I've come to know over the last few years in the field of sound work for providing his voice during the opening story moments of the project. All of their details will be below.
Use Me Up is a love letter, a tribute and a gigantic thank you to not only all of the incredible people who helped being this world to life in the pilot episodes, but also to all of you for enjoying my creations within it and continuing to support me through so much both in and out of the fandom space. As we're entering a new time for the show proper, I hope this song pays fitting homage to the thing that started it all off for us.

This has been a project at least a month in the making. Not only due to the amount of effort required to create every single bit of sound from scratch, but to also source out some incredibly awesome vocal talent to help me with this little ensemble.
More than anything in my line of work, the sound design of a project has to compliment the visuals and support what's there with appropriate usage of effects, foley and music. With comic dubs, I am allowed a certain degree of freedom in regards to timing and intent since it is static images and stuff that you read. But with Dark Crowl's animatic, I had to adhere to more rigid timings and elements that were crucial in emulating the flow of an animation to tell this little story of Blitzo struggling with his feelings in the wake of Episode 7. It was a fun challenge.
I would like to extend a huge amount of gratitude towards Dark Crowl in particular for not only allowing me to take this project on, but also for giving me high quality original assets and directions to make sure that the cast could make this the best it could be and be true to their original vision for the animatic. And, obviously, a just as gigantic thank you to the incredible voice actors who lent their voices to this project. I genuinely could not have done it without any of them.

A brand new original song based on Alastor the Radio Demon, featuring originally created backing music, sound design, voice acted story and artwork.
This one has been a long time coming after quite a wait, so what better way to kick of 2022 with some new original music of everyone's favourite deal maker? That theme was the central idea behind creating this song, to explore more of what Alastor became known for before he introduced himself to the rest of the hotel's occupants.
With Vaggie's mention of Alastor being known to others as a deal maker in the pilot episode, I created the story and general setup of this song to reflect that where Alastor tempts unsuspecting sinners (who specifically aren't aware of his reputation) into taking his offers because of what he can do, all while insisting on them to grit their teeth and bear with the consequences. Husk's appearance in the this song is also a possible interpretation of how the pair of them worked together, acting as reinforcement to make sure their targets "sign up".
The instrumentation is also my attempt to make a more polished sound for Alastor compared to my previous attempts at song making for him. I utilised a ton of brand new brass libraries to really sell the big band and jazz sound, while also using a lot of synthetic elements and sound processing to really highlight how Alastor's supernatural powers and threat contrast with how old-timey and high spirited his music/radio aesthetic is.
Finally, another gigantic thank you in order for DarlingKazoodle for providing such hauntingly awesome artwork for the cover art. After their previous work helping me with the Lucifer project a while back, their idea for Alastor to be stretching his smile unnaturally wide as his way of insisting upon the song's message was just so accurate to what I was hoping for. It's been a long time coming this one, but the final part is now finally completed and ready for sound! In the year since Part 2's release, I've improved in both equipment clarity, production and voice work all at once and I'm very happy with how I think it shows since then. I got this one done a lot quicker than probably most had expected, as I had been recording individual parts a page at a time as they were released as I knew people would want me to do this one, and Alastor is always a treat to sound design for.
I still have to record Husk when I wake up because I can't do it any other time.
I also want to give an extra special thank you to Rae for not only allowing me to create this dub, but for helping with the visual editing of the video itself with higher quality assets to make the transition between panels a lot smoother. Like the previous streams, we'll be starting with a general hang out as a place to chat, answer questions about anything you want to know about me or my work, culminating in the announcement and preview on my new music project as thanks for making this year one to remember.
A brand new original song centred around the moth pimp himself, Valentino, featuring originally created backing music, sound design, voice acted story and artwork.
Every good villain needs a song in the Hellaverse and Valentino is no exception. With the potential for this character to be one of the primary antagonistic forces in the show, I wanted to construct a song that would show the things he can tempt his workers and clients with while also making it clear that he expects obedience and respect in exchange. Framing it around upstaging his best star, just to prove a point that he is the one people want to associate with, seemed just so 'Val'.
To that end, in the wake of my last two original songs being more than a little emotionally charged, I wanted to make something fun, energetic and dripping with Val's ego. The result is something that is heavily rooted in my specialty of electronic music production, coupled with sound design to really give a sense of where Val is performing.
A lot of Val's vocals were recorded multiple times and processed to make it sound like he's speaking in multiple directions at once, truly getting under people's skin to get them "hooked". And the featured vocalist who he forces to take part in his little upstaging act should be no stranger to people who have listened to Val perform music on this channel before...
And lastly, all of my thanks and praise to the wonderful MaaTheDino for helping me with the artwork for this project. As someone who draws Val so perfectly in multiple other works, the art they provided really captured the setting, the ego and sense of threat that I was intending when making it. A brand new original song centred around the Goetian prince Stolas, featuring originally created backing music, sound design, voice acted story and artwork.
After how well 'Eyes On Me' was received as my first attempt at original song writing, this is my second. 'Just Look My Way' was a very difficult thing to put together, not just because of the subject matter but because of other things that had been affecting me outside of the work I do for this channel and elsewhere. Tackling all that, I had constant doubts about how accurate to Stolas' voice I was being, whether the sudden change in tone from such a highly energetic piece as Vox's song to this would be welcome, among countless other worry. But the end result is something I'm ultimately proud of.
Over the past few episodes of Helluva Boss, and through watching the show in general, it's clear that Stolas has a sense of emotional ignorance when it comes to how he behaves and how it affects others. While most obviously seen with Octavia, episodes 5 & 6 helped to cement this further with how he behaves in regards to Blitzo. Using pet names, outright calling him a "play thing" during the summoning, even down to how Blitzo hallucinates being chained to him because of his behaviours. And Stolas seems either oblivious to it or realises it too late.
I wanted this song to address that specifically. For Stolas' sense of arrogance to be apparent in how he can't understand why Blitzo is so awkward about being with him despite everything that he can provide, only to realise that it is his own actions that have caused the problem and how it may affect others. I hope this is a topic the later episodes of Helluva will tackle because the setup for it is there.
As a result, the actual music is heavily rooted in both traditional classic instruments and synthetic soundscapes to reflect Stolas' position as a royal but with access to the cosmos and magic. It's a subdued score, but something I felt needed to be done suitably to match the sombre mood of the song I was aiming for.
And finally, another huge round of gratitude and praise for Ayyy-Imma-Ninja for once again creating the beautiful artwork used in the video. She not only came up with the basic outlines for what I wanted the images to show, but also added in wonderful little details to really drive the point of the music home (pay attention to the flowers). The king of Hell gets his debut in my sound endeavours. Lucifer as a character is such an intriguing mystery, parts threatening and yet potentially like his daughter in equal measure. Fans have interpreted him in many ways as a force in the show's world, but his less than positive endorsement of Charlie's redemption idea struck me personally as someone who knows something about redemption and Heaven that she doesn't.
To that end, I wanted to create this project as if it were a scene from an episode of Hazbin itself, where Lucifer shows he is aware of how Heaven really operates due to his own past experiences as a fallen angel. There has been a lot of attention to detail with the sound in regards to how this short story plays out, culminating in Lucifer showing everyone as to why he is feared and respected as the ruler of inferno.
The song chosen for the project has its roots in one of other favourite franchises, Silent Hill. Though the particular entry in the series the song comes from isn't the strongest (and is also awkwardly titled 'Alex Theme', hence a renaming for this video), its themes of family duty, religious order, and trying to change things in defiance of it seemed perfectly fitting for my intentions with Lucifer. I also chose to differ the instrumentation from the original to better match the tone of the more action-packed moments for the same effect.

Another horror franchise? You best believe it. Resident Evil: Village took the world by storm earlier this year for obvious reasons of a certain giant vampire among other things, but the other memorable characters helped the game to become one of my favourites in the entire series. The Duke is no exception to that and he ended up being a highlight of the adventure that is ripe for expansion in later games.
The Duke is a character who is a true support to Ethan throughout his journey and has his own secrets that are never revealed as to what he truly is. Hailey's exploration into what happened after the events of Village wrapped up was so well made, emphasising The Duke's mysterious nature but not sacrificing his kind and helpful nature despite that, I felt it deserved the sound treatment (and because The Duke's way of speaking is so fun to imitate!).
Resident Evil and all its associated characters belong to Capcom.
The of what may have been happening elsewhere during Charlie's news appearance made this comic something I really wanted to bring to life. Not only because of how well Cameron was able to portray Valentino's power and control over others in his domain, but also because his reaction to Angel being revealed as the Hotel's patron having such quiet rising anger was catered perfectly to my enjoyment of creating tension in sound design.

This is arguably one of the most complicated and detailed sound projects I've uploaded onto this channel after the Alastor comic, but it's one that I am extremely proud of. Alien as a franchise has been one of my favourites since seeing the original film and seeing this universe brought to life so well in this official comic series by James Stokoe inspired me to add even more life via sound.
And I'm not alone this time. In order to properly portray this comic as intended, I enlisted the help of some truly amazing voice actors to aid me in playing these characters. Their performances were all crucial to selling the tone that this franchise is known for and I highly insist that you check out their details below to give them all the appropriate attention, praise and following that they deserve for their efforts.

Here we are, a year to the day after my first ever upload into both the Hazbin fandom, the sound design community as a serious entry and on the eve of ADDICT's own premiere. It's been a wild ride for everyone over that year, but I am beyond flattered, pleased and excited that so many of you chose to support my work up until now.
This highly requested track was actually completed many months before this upload, but my medical problems and other projects meant that I felt it wasn't the right time to upload such a thing that people have already linked with Angel's character. The one year milestone of making all this work for not just the Hazbin world but all the other franchises I've dipped my toes into and want to continue to spread out into, seemed appropriate.
The intent with these originally written scenes was to present 'MONTERO' in a different context and make it unique to these characters. The original came across to me as a song of empowerment, as if to say that "this is who I am and I am happy with that". But, with what we know of Angel's situation, I hope that I made the impression that Angel is more saying "this is who I am and I am trapped."
Thank you to the entire community who have supported my works. Thank you to @SpindleHorse and the entire talented crew at Spindle Horse for making such a unique world for us all to explore as fans. And here's to many more months and years being creative about things we enjoy.

Having actually watched Megamind shortly before this comic came out, this felt like the ideal thing to put together to mark my proper return to sound design following my operation, as well as ease back into voice acting by doing such vastly different characters. I'm really hoping the show itself ends up making Vox and Alastor's rivalry like this because it works far better than it has any right to.
I have a variety of new projects in the works, a lot of stuff that isn't just Hazbin so that I can branch out some more, including some original music and the long-awaited Alien comic which is now finally in full swing to assemble. Stay tuned.

I'm back. 2 weeks after my surgery and I am at a place where I feel comfortable, inspired and wanting to get back into the swing of things. I've been very careful with what I've been able to handle and not pushed myself beyond what I cannot do, but my recovery speed since being at home at has been incredible thanks to the support of my family and all of you being so patient and encouraging waiting for me.
Hearing @BlackGryph0n 's own song for Alastor, his original singing voice, was the spark of inspiration I needed to get back into making what I love. To pay tribute to his incredible skill, I decided to change things up and not go for a straight translation cover where it is as close to the original as possible. I wanted to do something new. I changed all the instrumentation to be more 'analogue' compared to the original's electronic, adding in the sound design I felt would be appropriate for the lyrics and the scenes. I hope you like it all.
My "repairs" are almost complete. And this is a major milestone for doing so. Thank you for sticking with me.

As some are aware, the original version of this dub was uploaded some time ago, but was taken down after the original artist raised concerns over changes that had been made. The full story regarding that can be found on my channel's Community tab. After speaking and working with them privately to ensure the dub matched the original intent of the artwork as best as it can, I present to you this 'Redux'. Major thanks to Lola for their help in making it.
The original comic is a really cool exploration of these characters that I hope the show proper indulges in. While everyone is right to remember that they are likely to be the villains in the overarching story of Hazbin, even those villains can have some depths to them besides being nasty. Lola's portrayal of Val trying to pass of his relationship to Vox as nothing serious while Vox knows better is a really interesting idea, possibly fitting how things used to be before they went sour as portrayed in the show's Instagram accounts. It's a great testament to how imaginative this fanbase can be.

This has been a couple of months in the making and I'm super thrilled to have it finally out as the 50k subscriber special! When Lhana and I were first discussing collabarations we could work on together, the topic of the friendship between Cherri and Angel came up as something both of us wanted to focus on. 'Rain On Me', a song all about facing the adversity of your circumstances and pushing on regardless in combination with the visual themes of friendship in the original music video, seemed to be the best way to do it and I think it turned out amazingly.
The set up of the scene was designed to emulate a music video of sorts, with Cherri and Angel meeting on a rooftop to act as a precursor to the tone of the song. While we agreed that Cherri is the only person at the moment that Angel would ever open up to about his problems like this, Lhana particularly wished to emphasise the anger he has at his situation rather than making him too 'soft'. And with Cherri's encouragement that they can face anything together and none of those problems matter, they decide to just let the rain come.

Now this was a challenge, but one that was incredibly fun to put together. Husk as a character has always intrigued me because of what he has the potential to be in the show, and I have wanted to do something music related to him for a while, but finding music that fit what little we know of him was difficult because... well, we don't know much about him. But rediscovering P!nk's classic song was such a good fit for his alcoholic tendencies and his nihilistic attitude that I wanted to give it a try.
Husk is already one of my weaker voices to do, yet alone trying to sing at him, but I feel this was really good practice of trying to maintain his pitch and growl to improve on how I perform him in future. The backing vocals were inspired by how similar "solo" songs are done in musicals, with a crowd of backing singers accompanying the character through the piece (and because vocal harmonies are so fun to arrange).
The instrumental is easily one I've been most proud of making and the song itself has a personal connection to me as it was one I had to arrange string parts for as part of my initial Music Technology courses before university. It was a thrill to revisit and I hope you all enjoy.

This was an fun challenge to take on because the original comic has no written dialogue. Much like the larger stretches of Alastor's official comic, the entire scene has to rely purely on sound design in order to properly reflect the intended mood. Thanks to dreadfluent's ambiguity regarding the scene, I also appreciated how this could be interpreted as Angel and Alastor finding common ground with music tastes, or as something more depending on how you look at it.
The track I chose to use is originally from 1939, an "in-between" of Angel and Alastor's death years to further emphasise their shared connection. And, as a chance to partially show off and also because Alastor is a showman, having him sing lyrics relating to someone else being 'careless' perfectly matched Angel's fluster at being caught dancing on his own like this.

I've been a long time fan of Dead by Daylight. Though the game itself has had numerous up and downs over the years, the lore and artistic design of all the original characters has been consistently enjoyable and the main reason I like to keep playing. Reading misia's comic, I really liked how it used The Trapper's backstory to explain a situation you see often in-game where the last Survivor is spared.
This is also the first dubbing/sound design project utilising the newest expansion of my foley libraries and sound effects. Though particular sounds are taken from DbD itself to remain authentic (Trapper mask breathing, hatch etc.), the rest are taken from these new recording collections and processed accordingly with footsteps on different materials, clothing noises, skin touches etc. I'm very proud of how this one turned out and I hope you all enjoy it.

Short but definitely not sweet, this comic encapsulates what I want to see in a more serious moment of the show going forward. From what we've seen so far, Blitzo is very clearly not fond of having to uphold his deal with Stolas in order to keep using the book, so I can easily see this scene happening because of it. With Stolas realising that the deal isn't the relationship he wants with Blitzo, and Blitzo realising that Stolas does genuinely feel something for him, I think it would be a great chance for both characters to reach a better understanding.
Time will tell if it be as well made as Ave drew and wrote this comic.
Rather relatively simple sound design wise this time, with the exception of the sounds of the Grimoire and my Blitzo voice still needing more work to be where I'd like it to be. I actually used an old copy of Brisingr to record the noise of Stolas touching the book and the creaking leather of it being picked up and moved in between the movements of clothing. It's subtle, but I feel it helps to make it more real.

This one was initially an experiment into trying out new radio effects using another old time song that fit Alastor's aesthetic and the popular idea that he speaks French. But as the original version of 'La Vie en rose' is one of my favourite pieces of music, I decided to do the full thing justice. Even with the difficulties of singing in French since it isn't a language I speak, it was quite the fun challenge. I chose to base the actual performance as close as I could to Édith Piaf's original vocals and pronunciation, so I hope I did alright!
Sing2Piano's instrumental served as a perfect choice, with the real time recorded performance sounding more genuine than how I could arrange it using my own software. To balance out using another instrumental apart from my own this time, I made sure to add as much detail to the setup of the 'scene' as I could, similar to the cover of 'We'll Meet Again'. The image of Alastor's powers manifesting as he played, only to be briefly interrupted by someone hearing the song and entering to hear him. Who that person is is up to you.

This is very different from what I usually make, but I wanted to do something fun to flex my voice acting muscles a bit. While the majority of these are based around the Hazbin characters that people have known me for from the dubs, it was nice to try out some new ones I'd not attempted before along with put all of these characters in a mixture of situations ranging from serious, joking, meme-worthy and threatening all at once.

This was a wonderful series of images to add sound to with how it flows like a real storyboard, please give them all the support that they deserve.
The thing that drew me to this comic in particular was the ambiguous nature of the scene, similar to "Electric Love" in how people can view it in different ways depending on how they see these characters, along with the chance to have a slight tinge of horror to some of the more intense moments. I chose to interpret it based on what we know canonically so far, that Angel would be trying to hit on Husk but then suddenly be hit with the realisation than the old cat's got problems, similar to how he recoils about his behaviour to Charlie in the pilot.
The sound design for Husk's waking nightmares is mostly comprised of about 20 different vocal snippets of my own voice being reversed, pitched down, whispered, all of them saying horrible things. Kudos if anyone finds out what they actually say! And who's going to turn down a bit of Fat Nuggets either,?
Also yes, Twin Peaks is amazing.

Since the last attempt at a stream went far better than I ever expected, let's do another one. The original song almost feels like an anachronism to a scary degree. Originally released in February 2019 by Years & Years and MNEK, more than half a year earlier than the Hazbin pilot, it's a song with two male vocalists speaking about a lover called Valentino who lured them in with charm and trapped them. It's scarily accurate to the show and I knew I had to do it with Angel and Vox once I heard it myself. Especially since it allowed me to imagine/write a scene of them sharing their experiences regarding their 'associate'.
Vox was probably the trickiest part of all this. Obviously, I didn't want to remove the distortion effects I've used for him when he is singing, but too many of them would easily be distracting from the performance and even cloud his words. I decided to focus on very specific "skipping" effects that matched the music, along with using a rather extensive vocoder to really sell the electric nature of his voice.
This song was also a prime chance to utilise some new instrument libraries I recently acquired, particularly with acoustic guitars and string sections. I don't think this would sound nearly as good without them. Enjoy.

This one was a chance to try out something beyond what the comic panels on their own would suggest. Coming up with the dialogue for the flashbacks during Angel's thoughts, along with the "what if" scenario of what would happen if he did try to take Husk's advice, was fun to imagine and work out how to do in terms of sound design and editing. I feel my Husk is gradually getting better, though maybe went a bit too gruff on this one. But it's all a learning experience.

This is one that quite a few of my viewers have been asking for for some time and I agree that it's a track that fits Angel as a character nearly perfectly. The instrumental was incredibly difficult to recreate as the original had lots of different effects and attention to small details, but I'm very proud of how it came out. The vocals themselves were equally complex to do because of how many parts there were to consider.
As with past covers like 'We'll Meet Again', the sound design in the 'introduction was an attempt to better match Angel with how Melanie Martinez originally performed the song. The intent was to make it sound like he's putting on an "innocent" tone in how he says some of the lines, with the song being an internal monologue that he's thinking about when he's been forced to go on stage.

I've actually been following this one for a while, eagerly awaiting the final parts in order to complete my sound injection to it. Along with a chance to voice Valentino in a rare moment of him losing his cool, trying to perform Stolas being more emotionally upset compared to how we've usually seen him was fun to try too.
I'm not sure if I pulled it off completely, I feel some particular parts could be stronger in tone and accuracy, but it was a good experiment nonetheless (and I already re-did a lot of these takes three times over already because I was being too fussy with the details).

Not strictly Hazbin and something brand new compared to the last one so soon after release.
After I read this comic soon after it came out, I knew I had to give it a try. RoboFizz is probably one of the most enjoyable bits of audio processing I've done in long time and it's also good practice for my Blitzo and Stolas voices now that the series is being made for real. My Blitzo still completely sucks, but I feel it's at least a margin better than the last attempt.
The original dialogue had some minor spelling errors in places. Though the text has been re-made to fix these, and also to make the 'fade-in' effects for the different sections, the dialogue is unchanged from how it was originally written.

This is an older comic made early last year, but now that I have practice and can do voices for everyone, I figured it was time to make sound for it. And about time for Valentino to get the raw end of a deal.
The original comic was presented in a right-to-left reading format. Some panels have been altered to read left-to-right for easier viewing.

First project of 2021. It's one in particular I've actually been wanting to work on for some time, but I held off on doing so until I had gotten better at doing sound design since the comic's initial release. madelezabeth's idea to translate such an iconic scene from Hercules into Hazbin was too good to pass up and I'm not going to turn down a chance to act how deliciously evil Valentino can be.
