This original song definitely went in a completely different direction than I could have ever imagined! When I first started writing this song I would have never guessed this song would turn into what it did. An emotional pop-punk metal song with djent and orchestral elements. The song reminds me so much of artists like NoisyCell and especially Jakub Zytecki and I love it!I want to add that this song is also about me entering a bit of a new chapter in my life. I love this song so much and I always wanted to cover it for Pride Month! I always loved the genre of soft rock and that genre is made a million and one times better when the music is sapphic! If you know anything about girl in red you’ll know all of her songs are very, very gay and I love it!I decided to do something different from my usual hybrid orchestral style for this cover. With this cover I wanted to arrange it in the style of a string quintet! Originally planned to be released on January 2nd (the day “For the Future” aired). The original plan was to have a remastered version of both “If We’re Gonna Play Owl House…” and “We Gotta Stick Together” in this video. I was going to do this because those songs played back to back in the episode “King’s Tide”. Sadly my computer died that week and I had to buy a new one. Because of that the original Logic Pro X file for “We Gotta Stick Together” became lost and I’m not able to salvage it. Of course I loved it!!! The episode also starts off with an awesome reprise of Eda’s Requiem/Raine’s Rhapsody as its intro! Just Some Guy (Dead End: Paranormal Park) | Holiday Themed Cover Fullmetal Pianist 2022-12-17 | I love Dead End: Paranormal Park so soooo much!!!! From each and every individual character, to the comedy, to the surprisingly heavy and relatable topics it handles. There is just so much to love about the show!!! As people who have seen the show know, there’s literally an entire episode that’s completely a musical. And in this episode there’s actually a lot of plot progression and character development which I love! There’s so many amazing songs in this episode that I definitely will be covering more songs from this it in the future! That being said, what better song to start off with for this holiday season other than one of the fan favorite songs Just Some Guy!I’m dedicating this cover to the character Barney Guttman! There’s so much I love about this character and this song is kind of his song in many ways. As someone who is also trans herself there is so much I relate to with this character! As weird as it may seem I also love how he’s not only a trans man but he’s also gay! As someone who is in many ways a lesbian trans women (although technically I’m a demigirl) I love that the show runner included this fact about the character! It takes a lot of inspiration from various pop, hip-hop and R&B artists. I’ve always had a love of the smooth sounds of music from those genres and I thought it would be a great fit for this composition! Goddess is not really written about anyone in particular. I’m so excited for the first special next week (October 14th for those of you reading from the future)!!!! I love this series so much and I can’t wait to see what we have in store for the final three specials!!!!! To celebrate this release and also to get into the spooky spirit I wanted to make this cover of “Whatcha Playin’?”, which is basically The Collector’s theme.As I’ve said before, I love this new villain!!! It honestly is an amazing show, and I am very sad to hear what happened to, it along with so many other shows. For personal life reasons I fell behind with watching this show and only caught up to it a few weeks before what happened to it happened.Considering all that, I wanted to make an emotional tribute to this series with this cover of Running Away. It was so much fun finding what ways I could make an emotional synthwave ballad! I ended up focusing heavily on piano, basically making a piano ballad with a lofi/synthwave backing it up. A Sinners Deal (Sky’s Theme) | D&D Fan-made Battle Song Fullmetal Pianist 2022-08-06 | Big shock the non-binary transbian demi-girl enjoys Dungeons and Dragons. One of my personal favorite characters I’m currently playing is a Fairy named Sky from a Theros campaign. If you don’t know Theros is a D&D world from a Magic: The Gathering card set based off the roman gods. Sky’s kind of like an anime protagonist who is possessed by a demon. She has also made a deal with this demon to bring back the woman she loves along with the rest of her village!I love this character so much that I wanted to make a song about her. A Sinners Deal is a dark battle song based off the deal she made with the demon. If you somehow don’t know, I fall under the trans and non-binary umbrella! So, I made a very fun, pretty, at times relaxing and other times upbeat hybrid orchestral song to celebrate! So, I only included a piano, a glockenspiel, and a string quintet for its orchestral elements! Although I do add in a third violin in the final chorus making it six stringed instruments (not including the piano of course). With the more hybrid elements however, I wasn’t quite as minimal. I know it’s going to be completely awesome however!!!! I also know that it’s probably going to emotionally destroy us. Considering that fact let’s do what fans do best and live in denial!!!!! :D Live in denial and pretend that Luz and Amity get to go on that most mundane slice of life date they were talking about!!! As If It’s Your Last by Blackpink (Amphibia) | Hybrid Orchestral Cover Fullmetal Pianist 2022-05-21 | Come on, Amphibia gave me an excuse to cover a K-pop song, of course I’d have to take that opportunity!!!If you don’t know, the second to last Amphibia episode All In featured the song As If It’s Your Last from the legendary band Blackpink. The scene was amazing featuring some of the best animation from Amphibia. That’s really saying something as the last two episodes of Amphibia had amazing animation!!! As soon as I’d heard this song in the show, I knew instantly I would have to cover it in my epic hybrid orchestral style! I love K-pop and Blackpink is an amazing band! I am so excited Amphibia gave me a reason to cover one of their songs!!!This was a very fun song to cover! It’s interesting because I feel as if this cover shows the growth I’ve made as a composer and cover artist over the past year. This cover is completely what I wanted my cover of Warriors from She-Ra to sound like. I don’t think my cover of Warriors is bad by any means. I just feel as if I was following a little too closely to the original song with that cover. Whereas with this cover of As If It’s Your Last I feel as if I was able to bring out the pop vibe without losing the orchestral genre. I also did all this while still making this cover my own thing too!!!Also, if you couldn’t tell this cover is heavily inspired by the sound of Hiroyuki Sawano. Farewell Amphibia | Emotional Orchestral Medley | Fullmetal Pianist Fullmetal Pianist 2022-05-14 | Amphibia so far has been an amazing show and I can’t wait to see the series finale tonight!!! I love Amphibia and I’m extremely sad to see it go, but I’m also very happy that it seems to be ending at a very good spot!!! I’d like to thank Matt Braly and the rest of the crew for making such an amazing series! I also want to thank TJ Hill for making such an awesome soundtrack and Adam Gubman for writing the fantastic song No Big Deal! Finally, I want to thank all of you for enjoying my music. Amphibia is such a wonderful show and I’m so glad I got to share my love of it with you!In honor of the series finale, I wanted to pay one last tribute to the show with this emotional orchestral medley. At least one last tribute to the show before it ends, and the YouTube algorithm says it’s still a show that can attract views. I love Amphibia too much to just stop doing covers however! Calamity Box Theme (Amphibia) | Fan Made Dark Hybrid Orchestral Soundtrack Fullmetal Pianist 2022-04-16 | Do you remember back in the Amphibia episode Escape to Amphibia when Anne hummed the leitmotif (melody) of the Calamity Box? When looking online I realized there is no dedicated song in the soundtrack for the Calamity Box that’s longer then like 30 seconds. So, I thought, “why not make a full-length song for the Calamity Box?”. Thus, I present to you the Calamity Box Theme, a fan made soundtrack done in the style of a dark hybrid orchestra!At 2:38 you probably noticed I added in Anne’s theme! I did this because I found it fits well with what I think I heard for the full Calamity Box leitmotif. It also fits with what I added to the leitmotif to make it a full melody!!!With this song there are two different Easter eggs you can find in it. See if you can find both!!! I’ll tell you how to find one of them and give you a hint for the other! For the first one reverse the song and you’ll get a hidden message! I didn’t say it was a clever message. For the other one you are going to have to be a musician with pretty good ear training to find it. Let’s just say I made a reference to a scene from Escape to Amphibia. I honestly kind of doubt people will find this easter egg. I say this because I have never seen anyone point out this detail from the scene I’m referencing. No Big Deal from Amphibia | Emotional Hybrid Orchestra (Feat. @Kalamity_Music) Fullmetal Pianist 2022-04-09 | (Note: This video was made before Kalamity Music changed her name)This is it! This cover has been a long time in the making and it’s finally time for it to be released! :D No Big Deal was a cover a few people have been asking me to do. So, I know I needed to do it one day, as it is genuinely a great song!I decided I wanted the hybrid elements of the orchestra to feel almost as if it was sort of an emotional emo rock song. I did this because listening to Amphibia’s soundtrack you can tell the composer TJ Hill is a huge rock fan! (Although technically Adam Gubman wrote this song, shhhhhhh.) The result was that at some parts it felt as if it was something out of musical theater (0:52) and a full fledge emotional rock song in other parts (2:00). Also, the bridge I wrote for this cover (1:44) is a reference to the bridge in my extended Amphibia Theme cover. Finally, I wanted to end the song by cutting it off harshly and have that be immediately followed by Marcy’s theme. To get as harsh and unexpected cut off as possible, I even muted the master track for that part. I did this to give as much of an emotional punch as I could.Also, I want to give another huge thank you to Kalamity Music who played the kalimba parts in this song (at 0:45, 1:32, and 2:36). This song is based entirely off a single line that I had my friend Music AM sing. I always wanted to make a hybrid orchestra song based on that concept ever since I heard Sungazer do something similar in their song All These People (youtu.be/1MOY2prgVOU). I had so much fun messing with tools such as Melodyne and iZotope's Vocalsynth 2 to see what fun ways I could edit Music AM’s vocals.This song turned into probably my darkest and most experimental song yet and I love it! It’s probably one of my favorite songs I’ve written yet. It’s also my heaviest song I’ve made, and I’ve written death metal breakdowns into my songs before.I want to thank Music AM for recording that awesome vocal line for me and letting me make this crazy and weird song out of it.
