Description: We were at the Wilkins Lock and Dam when the Smithville Ms EF5 tornado struck aprox. 1/2 mile east of us. We were able to video and photograph from the safety of the Lock operators building. We had no idea at the time that the town of Smithville was being destroyed and lives were being lost. I pray for those who suffered loss that day.
