A lot has happened in that timeframe, and I figured this moment would be a good opportunity to give another small glimpse at the future of this game. As part of the so far unrevealed Dark Depths level, this music track features two different variations that will dynamically switch in-game based on a new level mechanic that I'm going to keep a surprise for now. While the level itself is still in very early development, I hope you are all excited to see more of it!Lumberjump: Update Release TrailerNOAH2024-07-12 | A new update for Lumberjump adding the Winter Woodlands level has been released! By moving around nodes, the track layout can be freely customized by players however they want. The editor is still very much work-in-progress and still needs some improvement both from a technical and UX perspective, but I'm already liking where this is going. I hope y'all are excited to see more of Coasteroid in the future!Winter Woodlands Teaser 2 #lumberjumpNOAH2024-06-16 | New level coming soon to Lumberjump: noah1503.itch.io/lumberjumpSplitris GameplayNOAH2024-06-16 | Another new GC game in 2024? Crazy times indeed... After making LumberCrush earlier this year with the newly added match 3 genre, I couldn't leave out the other new addition and thus here it is.
While very obviously inspired by Tetris, this version sets itself apart by having the pieces split up making them more challenging to fit. The game consists of 4 modes: Splitris 3 & 4 which feature split pieces consisting of 3 and 4 blocks respectively, Classic which plays like regular Tetris and Turbo which is sped up significantly.
While quite basic, I think this turned out fairly well for what I was able to do within the confines of GC. The game is available through the in-app community page of Game Creator Android which can be accessed from both the full version and the free demo.Winter Woodlands Teaser #lumberjumpNOAH2024-05-25 | New level coming soon to Lumberjump: noah1503.itch.io/lumberjumpI added wooden track to my space coaster game #coasteroidNOAH2024-05-04 | ...I added camera effects to my racing game to emphasize speed #streetracersNOAH2024-04-20 | ...Launching at escape velocity #coasteroidNOAH2024-04-16 | ...Coasteroid: Teaser TrailerNOAH2024-04-01 | Take a first glance at my latest Unity project Coasteroid, a game which lets players build roller coasters in outer space! More info about this project will come as development progresses!LumberCrush GameplayNOAH2024-04-01 | A new GC game in 2024??? Believe me, I'm just as surprised to say that... Recently the app got a sudden update that added a pretty substantial amount of new content, including two new genres in the form of Tetris and Bejeweled-like puzzle games. Given that this is the first time since 2015 that anything on this scale has been added, I though it would be a fun time to revisit the app and mess around with the new features.
As I was doing so, I thought it would be funny to do a Lumberjump reskin of the 3-in-a-row genre of which the result can be seen. The artstyle of Lumberjump translates pretty well over to GC, which should not come as a surprise considering it sort of originated there. Importing sprites has been made noticeably more inconvenient with recent updates, but now that all art is in it resembles its source material quite well.
The gameplay is admittedly not very good however. From a design perspective this particular genres has very few options for customization in GC, which partially comes down to how much randomness is involved. This creates some issues, mostly because this randomness can very easily make levels impossible to beat if it decides to not generate any items close enough to be matched.
As a result, beating this game is moreso a matter of luck than skill and due to the limited amount of customization options aside from graphics there isn't really a solution for this. That being said, I enjoyed messing around in this app again after a long time, and it is quite interesting to reflect back on it now that I'm progressing towards being a professional game designer. In a way, it started here with this app...New Project Announcement!NOAH2024-04-01 | Tune in on April 1st to find out about my latest game project I've been working on! It's crazy to think about, but as of today it has been exactly a year since Street Racers started development! This racing game takes you through different city routes in a challenge to finish before your opponent. Don't be afraid to go off-road, as you might find more unconventional ways to make laps faster here. By using buildings and other structures to your advantage, you can take shortcuts that let you fly over your opponent and look awesome at the same time. It's important however to not crash while trying this, as doing so will reduce your chances of winning! The game currently features multiple tracks to race on in singleplayer and multiplayer matches.Street Racers: First Demo OUT NOW!NOAH2023-08-21 | Download the demo here: noah1503.itch.io/street-racers

Defeat hordes of aliens by shooting them with your light gun in this short sci-fi first person shooter. This is my first project to be made in Unreal Engine 5, and while the scope of it has always been smaller than other projects such as Lumberjump and Street Racers, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

This project will be my most ambitious 3D project yet and also my first game to include (splitscreen) multiplayer. The project is still in an early stage of development, and as such I can't give a release window yet. That being said, I will of course continue to give updates as the game progresses. I hope you're all as excited to see more of Street Racers as I am to make it!

This game is about jumping down a huge abyss while dodging a bunch of sawblades on the way down. Once you're at the bottom you get the option to either climb up the ladder, or jump again. Considering your score becomes higher the deeper you go it might be tempting to go for another jump, but dying means you will lose your score! Because the way the saws are placed is random for every jump, there's no way to tell in advance how difficult it will be so you have to "roll the dice" and hope for the best. Every jump is a gamble that can make or break your score!
I made this simple game in less than 48 hours for the annual game jam hosted by Game Maker's Toolkit. The theme this year was "Roll of the dice", which is why I went with a falling game that has you dodge random patterns of sawblades on the way down. While time constraints have definitely impacted this presentation of the game, I'm still glad with what I ended up with.PJ update 15-03-2022: Character redesign, movement changes and more!NOAH2022-03-15 | Download the demo version here!

Here's a 40 level world map in Super Mario Maker 2 I've been working on for over a year! I originally started this project back in March 2020 to practice my level design skills, but when the world maker update released about a month later I decided to turn it into a full game.
The entire game uses the SMB3 game style and every level (except for the Hammer Bro encounter) features 3 big coins meant the resemble the Star Coins found in more recent Mario games. I've tried my best to make every level feel like a traditional 2D Mario level, and I think I succeeded in that. If you have SMM2 and are interested in playing the game, I would really appreciate it!Platform Jumper Gameplay: New enemy type!NOAH2021-06-02 | Here's a look at the brand new tribug and flybug enemies I added recently! The tribug is an insect with three legs and will sting PJ when it gets touched. There are green and red variants, with the latter being faster. Additionally there's the flybug, which as the name suggests is able to fly. I'm glad I finally managed to implement these enemies, because they are a bit more versatile for level designing than the crab I've already shown due to there being multiple variations. I know progress on this game has been going rather slow over the past months, but I'm hoping to release a playable demo level *relatively* soon. Thanks for watching!Platform Jumper OST: Erupted Wasteland (Magma Mountain)NOAH2021-03-16 | Take a listen to the new music that will play during the volcano level in Platform Jumper! I recently added a second power-up to the game: the Power Elixir! By drinking it you will become invincible for 10 seconds, allowing you to kill enemies and walk over spikes. I also made some improvements to the crates, which can now contain items and even have large variants. There are some other minor changes as well, such as the Ancient Orb now respawning after falling into a pit or the space background looking more colorful than ever before. The game is still far from being finished, but things like these definitely make me want to go on to see what the final product will look like, and I hope you're all excited to play it as well!Platform Jumper Gameplay: Added audio, new mechanics and more background details!NOAH2020-07-08 | I haven't been doing a whole lot with this game in the past month or so, but there are some new things I want to show off. First of all, sounds have been added! I think it already goes a long way into making the game feel more alive.
I also added in the ancient orb, a new object which can be rolled to defeat enemies and destroy obstacles. I'm currently also working on implementing springs, but they don't work as I want them to yet.
Last but not least I made a lot of minor changes and fixes, like the bricks now respawning after a few seconds instead of when the player dies. The game is still far from being finished, but I already like how it's coming together. I'm planning to release a demo level once I have enough mechanics added, but that will likely still take a while. That being said, I hope you're all excited to play!GCGP RACING CHAMPIONSHIP: Vincent The Fox DLC out now!NOAH2020-06-15 | Vincent joins the race in GCGP Racing Championship!
