Born in 1981, he grew up in Portishead, South-West England and in 2005, he presented the Channel 4 series How To Get A Book Deal. He has appeared on BBC 2, Radio 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6, and has written for The Guardian, The Times, The Independent, The Big Issue and Writing magazine, amongst others. As a stand-up poet, he has performed all over the UK, both as a solo act and as a member of acclaimed poetry collective Aisle16 ('Highlights of the spoken word scene' -- The Sunday Times).
April 2013: Tim Bombdog performs poetry set at London Liming Tilt Spokenwd 2013-05-30 | Tim Bomdog is a standup poet, musician and performer who trained as a psychiatric nurse and currently works for the Leicestershire NHS, including the ground-breaking project Showcase Smoothie, which supports and mentors young men with experiences of mental illness to write and perform and share their work and creative expression with the public. He is a regular performer and active cultural activist in Leicester and other parts of the East Midlands.
April 2013: Prince Abdi performs a comedy set at London Liming Tilt Spokenwd 2013-05-30 | An extract of a comedy set performed by stand up comedian Prince Abdi. Described as "a refreshing act" by The Guardian, Prince Abdi is a firm favourite on both the London and UK club circuits. Hailing from Somalia, he often makes creative and comic use of origins and identity in his jokes, and was nominated for best newcomer by the Black Entertainment Comedy Awards and came 3rd in the Revels Chortle Comedy Awards. A winner of 'Your Comedy Star' at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, he made his stand up television début on Paramount's hit show 'The World Stands Up' and has performed at comedy clubs around Europe, US and the rest of the world. He is an instant crowd pleaser with a charismatic style, and a fine example of the range of wordplay and styles that the Liming events enjoy showcasing.
