oybyFor the first time, I was invited as a media influencer to SeaWorld Orlando to take a hardhat construction update tour behind the walls of the new Sesame Street area coming to SeaWorld in Spring 2019. I was more than enthusiastic to respond to their request, as I have been personally very curious about the construction progress and how far they've come. It was a very informative trip and I can't possibly be thankful enough to SeaWorld for the opportunity to check it out. I was definitely sad at first to see the Shamu's Happy Harbor of my childhood go, but from the plans and ambitions they told is, this is going to be a more than worthy successor of the area. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did, and I will absolutely be back as soon as the land opens to check out all of the entertainment offerings!
A Hardhat Construction Tour Of Sesame Street At SeaWorld Orlando!oyby2019-01-23 | For the first time, I was invited as a media influencer to SeaWorld Orlando to take a hardhat construction update tour behind the walls of the new Sesame Street area coming to SeaWorld in Spring 2019. Brennan and I decided to stay home for the storm and prepare with food and backup electrical provisions, and secure the yard from various debris. We fared superbly well for what we could have experienced, and spent the afternoon clearing the mild damage of fallen limbs. We lost internet and made the most of entertaining ourselves and staying occupied, but ultimately felt very fortunate for our experience. We also got Krabby Patties!SeaWorlds Halloween Spooktacular 2024!oyby2024-10-19 | Every year I've tried to go to SeaWorld for their Halloween Spooktacular for free candy, and this year I ended up going on a rainy weekend for just a couple hours. I went to Sesame Street to see the characters in their Halloween costumes, and then went over to Antartica for the Scarecrow dance party. The outdoor entertainment was limited due to the rain, but I was still able to go through the (relatively empty) treat trail to get candy before I needed to get back to the car to drive to work. We arrived in the early evening and walked straight through World Celebration (which I'm still getting used to again) to have some new (and returning favorite) food, and we'll definitely make another trip soon! Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!Dave & Busters, Toms Watch Bar, Mario 64, Ping Pong, And Banana Bread!oyby2024-10-17 | For Dennis's final day in Orlando, we had a light breakfast and then left to go to Dave & Buster's on International Drive. We bought enough credits to play video games a couple hours, and drove down I-Drive to the parking garage across from McDonald's to have lunch at Tom's Watch Bar for Dennis to watch a football game! After I went to work (and Dennis met up with a friend to play pickleball), we played Mario 64, ping pong, and Lorcana at home (and made banana bread), and then I dropped Dennis off at the airport the next morning for his flight back to Atlanta! Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!Epic Universe From The Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds, I-Drive Anime World, And U & Me Hot Pot!oyby2024-10-15 | After going to the theme parks the previous few days, Dennis and I decided to have a more relaxed morning at home Mario 64 and ping pong (and a breakfast of omelettes, bacon, and fresh fruit). Originally wanting to go to Gatorland, we decided instead to go to I-Drive (because of the weather), and got tickets for the Orlando Eye and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. We looked at the Epic Universe construction and the relative distances of the other theme parks, and then walked around the wax museum before heading down I-Drive to Anime World to look around. We drove to dinner at U & Me Revolving Hot Pot by Disney Springs, and took a quick detour to World of Disney for Lorcana (which we eventually found at Target). Dennis (of course) pulled another Enchanted card, and we ended the night playing some more Mario 64. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!Express Passes At Halloween Horror Nights With Travis And Dennis!oyby2024-10-14 | After Travis specifically flew down to Orlando to go to Halloween Horror Nights, we were all obviously bummed when it was cancelled. However, due to a slight delay in Travis's flight plans, we decided to still attempt to go to HHN for as long as we could. After spending the afternoon at SeaWorld, we drove to Universal and got through the arches in time to see the opening "scaremonies", and got through the turnstiles quickly enough to immediately start going through some houses. Our tickets and Express Passes (which we bought in advance to use together) rolled over from the previous day, so we did as much as we could in about an hour and a half before Travis had to leave to the airport. After getting back into the park, Dennis and I had some HHN food and drinks, watched Nightmare Fuel: Nocturnal Circus, went into Diagon Alley for the Death Eaters, and completed (and ranked) the remaining houses. I'm so happy Travis was able to go and make it through four houses (and all five scare zones), and that Dennis and I got to do everything (with the revolutionary assistance of Express Passes)! Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!A Brothers (And Brennan) Afternoon At SeaWorld For Roller Coasters!oyby2024-10-12 | After going to Islands of Adventures the previous day, we decided to have some breakfast and play some Super Smash Bros. and then go to SeaWorld for the afternoon! I was able to use my two free guest tickets to get Travis and Dennis into the park, so we purchased Quick Queue for the first time to use at as many roller coasters as we could (or that were operating). We did Manta, Journey to Atlantis, Kraken, Mako, Infinity Falls, Ice Breaker, and Pipeline all within a few hours, in addition to seeing the Wild Arctic and Shark Encounter exhibits and having some sandwiches for lunch. After riding the rides we wanted to, we left early to go back to the house to go to Universal again after deciding to attempt another brief (for Travis) Halloween Horror Nights evening. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!Travis & Dennis Visited Orlando For HHN But We Went To Islands Of Adventure Because It Was Cancelledoyby2024-10-10 | A couple weeks ago on the day of Hurricane Helene's impact on Florida, Travis and Dennis flew into Orlando, just narrowly avoiding delayed (or cancelled) flights. After I picked them up, we went to Cracker Barrel for brunch, where we received the news that Halloween Horror Nights had been cancelled that evening, just 6 hours before the event. After playing basketball and trying to decide what to do, we ended up going to Universal anyway but went to Islands of Adventure to ride some rides Travis wasn't able to do several months ago, and then played mini golf in CityWalk before getting pizza and playing Super Smash Bros. on the Nintendo 64 and challenging each other to ping pong. The HHN cancellation was understandable, but we still managed to have a great brother day together! Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!SeaWorlds Friday The 13th Howl-O-Scream 5K Fun Run!oyby2024-10-08 | A few weeks ago on Friday the 13th (after going to Universal for Halloween Horror Nights) Brennan and I went to SeaWorld Orlando around 11pm to participate in the inaugural Howl-O-Scream 5K Fun Run! The race ended up starting a little after midnight, but we ran through the parking lot and the entirety of SeaWorld (including back of house areas and beneath multiple coasters), past scare actors and entertainment all the way to the finish line. We got water and snacks, and then enjoyed the post-race party before finally heading home (or actually Taco Bell) around 2am. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon! Finally Taking Our First 2024 Trip To Halloween Horror Nights At Universal Studios!oyby2024-10-07 | Excerpted from our Cabana Bay Beach Resort stay, this was our visit to Halloween Horror Nights! After arriving to CityWalk from Cabana Bay, we went into Universal Studios and immediately started going through houses! We did Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America followed by Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, got some food from a few food booths, and then went over to The Museum: Deadly Exhibits and Slaughter Sinema 2. Because we were still in the back of the park, we did Goblin's Feast and Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines back to back, and then did Major Sweets Candy Factory right after a brief delay, concluding our night with Triplets of Terror. Despite the rain, we walked through all of the scare zones and had a few drinks throughout the night, finally leaving well after midnight to take the water taxi back to our hotel. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon! Our 1-Night Stay At Cabana Bay For Brennans Birthday And Halloween Horror Nights At Universal!oyby2024-10-06 | For Brennan's birthday, we booked one night at Cabana Bay Beach Resort to go to Halloween Horror Nights together! I decided to split the stay up into two parts, with our Cabana Bay evening/morning being it's own video, and our night at Halloween Horror Nights being another video. After checking in and settling into our room and walking around Cabana Bay, we took the garden walk over to Sapphire Falls to take the water taxi to CityWalk for Halloween Horror Nights. After we we done for the night, we took the same way back to the resort, grabbing some pizza from Bayliner Diner before going to bed. The next morning I went to both resort pools and grabbed some coffee, finally concluding our stay with breakfast and a milkshake in Bayliner Diner. They got off the ship next and took a ride share straight to the airport, and then Brennan and I disembarked and took a car to the hotel we stayed at our first night in Seattle. We paid a fee to store our luggage and then walked across the street to take elevator up to the top of the Space Needle! We took pictures and videos of notable landmarks that we recognized, and then paid $15 to walk down the 832 steps and received a commemorative t-shirt. We took another car to the Pike Place Market where we explored and had a quick lunch, and then went back to the hotel to finally meet up with Dennis to take a car to the airport. We checked our bags and played some Lorcana and then finally boarded our plane for the flight back to Orlando. This concludes our cruise vacation (with a national park bonus)! We had an absolutely incredible time spending time together as a family, and I appreciate you for following along as we were able to make these special memories together! Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!HOLLAND AMERICA ALASKA CRUISE (DAY 7) Whale Watching, Playing Sports, A Fun Fair, & Victoria, Canadaoyby2024-09-30 | For our final full day aboard the Holland America Eurodam, we spend the majority of the day at sea. Brennan and I met up with Travis and Dennis in the sport court for a pickleball tournament, and then went down to the dining room to have brunch. We finally went to the library, and then went to the world stage to see a presentation about the ship and the crew, and then had lunch on the Lido pool deck at the Dive In. We played the midway carnival games at the Lido Fun Fair, and went to the stern of the ship to finally see some whales! We met back up with the family at the sport court to play more basketball and pickleball, and then went down to the dining room for our final dinner on the ship. As the Eurodam pulled into Victoria, Canada, we played more pickleball in the sport court before disembarking for a very brief walk to the Fisherman's Wharf, and then went back to the ship to pack our bags to put outside, finally ending the day with board games with the brothers in the Crow's Nest. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!HOLLAND AMERICA ALASKA CRUISE (DAY 6) Fishing In Ketchikan!oyby2024-09-25 | For our brief port day in Ketchikan, we booked a fishing excursion for just the brothers! We disembarked the ship a little before 7am and immediately met up with our boat captain who took us to change into some fishing gear and get in the boat. We fished for some red stripe before moving on to various kinds of salmon, and concluded our excursion on an island where our fish was cooked and prepared for us to eat as we warmed up from the rain and cold around a fire. Back on the ship, we played ping pong and basketball and ended the day with some live entertainment! Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!HOLLAND AMERICA ALASKA CRUISE (DAY 5) Bears, Salmon, Totem Hiking, And Russian Dumplings In Sitka!oyby2024-09-23 | After our previous evening at Icy Straight Point, the next port for our Alaska cruise was immediately the following morning in Sitka! After having breakfast in the dining room, we debarked the ship and took a bus to downtown Sitka, where we then took another bus to the Fortress of the Bear, a non-profit facility. After watching the bears get fed, we took the bus to the Sitka National Historical Park to see hundreds of salmon swimming upstream, and to take a totem trail nature hike. We walked back to downtown and found food to enjoy (Russian dumplings) for lunch, and then took the bus back to the cruise ship. We saw whales, did a martini tasting, had a special dinner for Margot's birthday at the Italian restaurant on the Lido deck, and ended the night by changing into our orange clothes and dancing in the Rolling Stone Lounge! Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!HOLLAND AMERICA ALASKA CRUISE (DAY 4) Glacier Bay National Park And Icy Straight Point!oyby2024-09-22 | After our previous day in Juneau, we made our way down to Glacier National Park to see the Johns Hopkins Glacier. We took pictures and videos of ice caving, and (after having lunch in the dining room) cruised from Glacier Bay National Park to Icy Straight Point. Once we ported, we walked around the Hoonah Cannery and took the gondola to the Wilderness Landing, followed by Sky Peak. Once it started to get dark, we went back to the ship to have dinner and play some board games as the ship continued to cruise south. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!HOLLAND AMERICA ALASKA CRUISE (DAY 3) Dog Mushing Camp, Red Dog Saloon, & An 1800ft Tram In Juneau!oyby2024-09-21 | After a couple days at sea, we finally arrived to Juneau, our first port! Because it took until about noon to disembark, we sent the morning whale watching and playing pickleball. After getting off of the ship, everyone went in their separate directions. Brennan and I took a shuttle to a dog mushing camp, where we were pulled through the forest by a team of Iditarod dogs, got to pet some puppies, and enjoyed some hot chocolate. After getting back to Juneau, we went to the Red Dog Saloon for a snack and a drink, and the walked over to the Goldbelt Tram to take that to the observation area to hike and enjoy the view. After making it back down the tram, we met up with Dennis for dinner and drinks in the Red Dog Saloon (again) and then finally went back to the ship. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!HOLLAND AMERICA ALASKA CRUISE (DAY 2) A Day At Sea With Recreation, Board Games, And Fancy Night!oyby2024-09-18 | For our full first day aboard the Holland America Eurodam, we had a day at sea as we sailed towards our first port in Alaska! After having breakfast in the dining room with my parents (and watching Dennis play a little pickle ball), we went to the game room to open some packs and play Lorcana and had some pizza. Brennan took a nap and Dennis had a massage, so Travis and I played some basketball and shuffleboard, then had some tea with Christine. We did some shopping, played more basketball, had fancy night dinner in the dining room, and watched a show in the World Stage! We ended the night with another board game in the game room and listening to music in the Rolling Stone Lounge. We then drove back through Port Angeles, and took the ferry to Seattle to check into our hotel to prepare to board our cruise for Alaska the next morning. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!Mount Rainier And Olympic National Park Hiking With Dennis & Flying To Seattle, Washington!oyby2024-09-11 | Last week, Brennan and I flew to Seattle, Washington to meet up with the family for a huge vacation of hiking National Parks and cruising to Alaska! We flew in a few days after Dennis, mom, and dad, so I asked Dennis (and mom) to record a little of what they did before we arrived. They got to Mt. Rainier after a long travel day and checked into the Paradise Inn, ending the day with a quick hike to Myrtle Falls. The next day, Dennis and mom continued hiking to a panoramic view of Mt. Rainier (though obstructed by the weather). The following day Dennis did an early morning hike for a better view, after which they checked out of their Inn and drove to Olympic National Park. They went to the Hoh Rain Forest and Ruby Beach, and went back to their lodge where Brennan and I finally met them at after a 6 hour flight, 1 1/2 hour airport to rental car transit, and 2 1/2 hour drive from Seattle to Port Angeles. After running errands, doing some editing, and picking up coffee and breakfast, I went searching for some Lorcana at retail stores and a local game store, successfully finding Shimmering Skies at the Florida Mall Target. Brennan got us smoothies for lunch, and I decided to finally use my popcorn machine to pop some corn! After opening some packs, we went to the world's largest entertainment McDonald's to finally follow through on getting something weird off of the expanded menu (we got a pizza and a philly cheesesteak)! The next day we went shopping, picked up some mail, and finally revealed where our trip is going to be. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!Preparing For HHN Scare Zones And House Entrances, CityWalk Burger King, And More Preview Center!oyby2024-08-28 | A few days ago, I went to Universal Studios to walk through the progress of Halloween Horror Nights preparation. I haven't been thoroughly invested and excited about this year's house/scare zone line-up, so I wanted to at least familiarize myself with the zone locations and various house entrances. Of course, since making this video, food/drink menus have gone up, house locations have been revealed, and the Tribute Store has had additional construction. However, it's still fun for me to be able to document my experience and speculation and thoughts about the event before it starts in a couple days. After walking around the park I had dinner at Burger King in CityWalk and then went to the Preview Center (not the Legacy Store, as I called it multiple times) to use the AR app. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!Testing Out TEMU Theme Park Products At Disney World!oyby2024-08-28 | Thank you to Temu for partnering with me to make this video! I went to Animal Kingdom for the Dinoland USA/Pueblo Esperanza/Encanto/Indiana Jones announcements, then Hollywood Studios for the Monsters Inc. Land rumors, and then finally Magic Kingdom for the Cars Land/Villains Land news and Rivers of America/Tom Sawyer Island speculation. This was a very long day driving and walking around Walt Disney World, but it helped my perspective on the D23 announcements to go to the parks affected to share my thoughts and process the monumental change (mostly for the better) about to impact the parks. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!Dinner At T-Rex Cafe And Watching The Dreams That Soar Drone Show At Disney Springs!oyby2024-08-19 | After work, Brennan and I decided to go to Disney Springs with a few intentions to accomplish, including Lorcana, the T-Rex Cafe, and the new Dreams That Soar drone show! We strategically parked in the Orange Garage and walked over to World of Disney to purchase Lorcana, but were only able to get a couple of the theme decks. For dinner we went over to T-Rex Cafe to go the the bar, and shared an appetizer sampler and opened our packs to see who would have to pay for dinner. With a little less than an hour before Dreams That Soar, we walked over to Summer House on the Lake and got some cookies, and then walked over to House of Blues to get a spot for the drone show. It was delayed by about 10 minutes (and had some challenges with the wind) but we both enjoyed it! We then were able to get back to the Orange Garage around the (closed) NBA Experience and got out of Disney Springs before the crowds! (Before that, I talked about Cast Connection, a discounted Disney merchandise store, and got some Cracker Barrel for myself and Brennan to enjoy for the start of our weekend.) After getting my Lorcana, Brennan and I went to a Korean BBQ and then Hawaiian Rumble Mini Golf so I would be able to accomplish the course that I did not do with Dennis. We played some ping pong and after a final check around the house and saying our goodbyes we started the drive back to Atlanta (with Travis driving back to Chapel Hill). We avoided the tropical storm that was moving up from Florida, and after a few hours (and a stop at at Georgia Welcome Center) we had lunch at a Korean BBQ, and then finally made it back to Dennis's condo. We played a few rounds of Tripoley and then I got dropped off at the MARTA, and took a 30 minute ride to the airport where, after making it through security and taking the Plane Train, got to my gate just in time to board to fly back to Orlando (and of course got McDonald's). Our family has been here a couple times throughout the years, and after about a half hour drive and winding mountain roads, we made it to the trails. We started off hiking the Hickory Nut Falls Trail together, and then took the stairs back to the gift shop to either take the elevator or hike to the top to walk up to Chimney Rock. The view was incredible, and after taking pictures we went back down to the cars to drive to a brewery right outside the state park entrance to get beers and have some lunch, and then drove back to the cabins to play some board games and ping pong. We then ended the night with beers, dinner, and more games at the cousins' cabin. We had beers and hotdogs, and left back to the cabins once it started to rain for the kids' nap times. I hiked to the cousins' cabin through the woods, and after playing some games together we drove to the nearby grocery store about 20 minutes away to pick up ingredients to make for dinner for the family. After dinner we spent time together talking, and ended the night in our hot tub. We unloaded our grandmother's china cabinet (that we loaded into the car back in Pensacola), and after reloading the parents' car drove about 3 1/2 hours towards Asheville, North Carolina to our cabin for the weekend! We met up with Travis and Christine (and their kids) and then went over to our cousins' cabin to have dinner and play games. It was a long day of travel to the mountains, but it all went according to plan and we were so happy to be together again! After going to the gym and making pizzas from scratch for dinner, we spent the next day taking Arlo to the groomers, trying out my new cereal cup, and finally revealing the grades from the cards I dropped off at Card Party last month (as well as a couple other cards I've pulled recently)! We then went to a neighborhood park I've always wanted to go explore, and ended the day mowing the lawn. Finally, the next day I filled up our inflatable pool and enjoyed a couple beers while Brennan went to get a massage, and concluded the day playing Mario 64 and assembling my off-brand LEGO set. We had aisle seats again, but had an otherwise very comfortable flight that only took about an hour. We picked up Arlo from the Best Friends Pet Hotel, and then got burgers from Beef N' Buns, a nearby burger restaurant, before wrapping up our thoughts from our trip. I met them out at Portofino after the show ended and we opened up some cards, played pickleball, went swimming in the Gulf, and concluded our evening with dinner together at Flounder's Chowder House! Brennan and I went to pick up lunch for everyone from Whataburger, and we then drove out to the beach to meet back up with Dennis to finally do the Portofino water obstacle course that I've waited a year to do! After getting in the spa hot tub and swimming, we went to dinner at McGuire's Irish Pub, and then continued the evening with drinks and dancing at Seville Quarter in downtown Pensacola. We woke up very early and dropped off Arlo at the Best Friends Pet Hotel in Disney World, and then drove to the airport for our early flight to Pensacola. After arriving we had breakfast at Coffee Cup, and then went to our house to unpack and relax. After showing one of my mom's recent projects and sharing some memories from around the house, we then left to go out to Portofino on Pensacola Beach to overload some supplies for Dennis and his group arriving later that evening. We went down to the beach for some sunset pictures, had an engagement celebratory dinner at the Grand Marlin, and then finally drove home to get some sleep after a long day. I only had a couple hours and the weather was terrible, but I still wanted to make the trip after work to say that I was there (similar to Hogsmeade) and have some dinner! I went to Leaky Cauldron and then walked around a few of the stores while it rained and ended the night with a few pictures and videos of a very empty Diagon Alley before going back to the car. Thanks for watching and I’ll see you soon!Universals Mega Movie Parade!oyby2024-07-09 | The day after the Fourth of July, Brennan and I went to Universal Studios Florida to watch the Mega Movie Parade! Because it was under technical rehearsal, we missed one of the floats, experienced a few stops, and had some audio difficulties, but we were absolutely in awe of this parade. The floats, characters, music, and choreography that we saw made us so happy, and we're legitimately so excited to see it again. After the parade, we had dinner from Minion Cafe, went to CityWalk for the Epic Universe Preview Center, and then made it back into the park for the Cinematic Celebration. After driving my Chevrolet Impala for the past decade and a half after receiving it as a gift from my grandparents after my freshman year of college, I finally purchased my first car. After test-driving multiple cars throughout the past couple years and visiting several dealerships, I decided on a Mazda CX-30 S Select Sport and have absolutely loved it. Continuing the fun throughout the weekend, I grilled some burgers and finally used our s'mores kit, and then went to Disney World on the Fourth of July for BBQ from Trail's End at Fort Wilderness and Celebrate America! July 4th fireworks from the Contemporary Resort. We started the morning at Studios with Genie+ and immediately went back to Toy Story Land to redeem our Lightning Lane for Slinky Dog Dash. Afterwords we went to Galaxy’s Edge to wait in stand-By for Rise of the Resistance, and then over to Sunset Boulevard for Tower of Terror. We had lunch at ABC Commissary, beers at Baseline Taphouse, and our final Studios Lightning Lane for Runaway Railway. After taking the Skyliner to Epcot, we got drinks in Rose & Crown, redeemed a Soarin’ Lightning Lane and a Cosmic Rewind Individual Lightning Lane, and endured the rain over to Germany for dinner at Biergarten. After riding Frozen Ever After and a margarita from Mexico, we finally took the Skyliner back to Hollywood Studios to end the day. I arrived in the early afternoon and immediately went over to Journey to Atlantis to get a spot for the new So Much More To SEA Parade, which was adorable! I was caught in the rain momentarily, and then walked over to Wild Arctic to receive my manatee plush! From there I went to the Passholder Lounge to print out a couple rewards to redeem, and had some lunch at Dockside Pizza. To conclude my day I walked back over to Penguin Trek to watch several trains test, and then head out of the park as it began to rain again. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!
