Tawny Investigates - Guide to Ghost Gadgets 8 - Dictaphone TawnysVideos 2010-03-28 | EVP is when sounds are recorded to the tape of a dictaphone, when there should be no sounds at all. It can be very spooky. You can either walk around saying "are there any owls or spirits here..." and then listen back, or leave the dictaphone on its own, in the woods, to see if you record anything strange. I once captured the sound of some badgers playing, but when I went to look, there was nothing there except some holes in the ground! I could not believe it, but the sound recorded to the tape was undeniable. So, I played it to my friend, Nanny Bloo, and she said it was definitely some ghost badgers, as she could hear them on the tape, but could not see where the sound came from. She had never seen a dictaphone before, so maybe she got confused?
