"My Country, 'Tis of Thee", also known as "America", is an American patriotic song, whose lyrics were written by Samuel Francis Smith. The melody used is the same as that of the national anthem of the United Kingdom, "God Save the Queen", arranged by Thomas Arne. The song served as one of the de facto national anthems of the United States (along with songs like "Hail, Columbia") before the adoption of "The Star-Spangled Banner" as the official U.S. national anthem in 1931.

"The Patriotic Song" (Russian: Патриоти́ческая пе́сня, Глинка) was the national anthem of Russia from 1991 to 2000. It was previously the regional anthem of the Russian SFSR from 1990 until 1991, when it had renamed itself as the Russian Federation and left the Soviet Union. Unlike most national anthems, it had no official lyrics (although unofficial ones written). The song originally was written by Mikhail Glinka in 1833.
(Unofficial Russian Lyrics /

"Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser" (English: "God Save Emperor Francis") was a personal anthem to Francis II, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and later of the Austrian Empire, with lyrics by Lorenz Leopold Haschka (1749–1827) and music by Joseph Haydn. It is sometimes called the "Kaiserhymne" (Emperor's Hymn).

The Romans did enjoy music greatly and used it for many activities. Military music was used in parades, ceremonies and processions. Music was used to control troops on the battlefield. Music was also used in religious ceremonies, gladiator contests and events in the arena. The Romans cultivated music as a sign of education.
Roman-style musical instruments are found in parts of the Empire where they did not originate, and indicate that music was among the aspects of Roman culture that spread throughout the provinces.
(The Roman Empire didn't have official national flag and anthem)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sayaun Thunga Phulka (Nepali: सयौँ थुँगा फूलका, Made of Hundreds of Flowers) is the national anthem of Nepal. It was officially adopted in 2007. The lyrics of the national anthem were penned by the poet Pradeep Kumar Rai, alias Byakul Maila. The music was composed by late Amber Gurung. The national anthem is simply worded, praising Nepali sovereignty and unity.
(English Lyrics / Translation) Woven from hundreds of flowers, we are one garland that's Nepali, Sovereignly spread across from Mechi to Mahakali.
A shawl of unending natural wealth, From the blood of the braves, a nation free and immovable.
A land of knowledge and peace, the plains, hills and mountains tall, Unscathed, this beloved land of ours, O motherland Nepal.
Diverse races, languages, religions, and cultures of incredible sprawl, This progressive nation of ours, all hail Nepal!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The national anthem of South Africa was adopted in 1997. It is a hybrid song combining 19th century hymn "Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika" (English: "God Bless Africa", lit. '"Lord Bless Africa"') and the Afrikaans song "Die Stem van Suid-Afrika" (English: "The Call of South Africa"). "Die Stem" was formerly used as the South African national anthem from 1938 to the mid-1990s.
(English Lyrics / Translation) Lord bless Africa May her glory be lifted high,
Hear our prayers Lord bless us, your children.
Lord we ask You to protect our nation, Intervene and end all conflicts, Protect us, protect our nation, Protect South Africa, South Africa.
From the blue of our skies, From the depths of our seas, Over our everlasting mountains, Where the echoing crags resound,
Sounds the call to come together, And united we shall stand, Let us live and strive for freedom, In South Africa our land.
The South African national anthem is often referred to by its incipit of "Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika", but this has never been its official title, which is simply "National anthem of South Africa".
(English) Sounds the call to come together, And united we shall stand, Let us live and strive for freedom In South Africa our land.
