Tuya-Convert works again... kind of... - Gosund EP2 Update EpicLPer 2022-07-27 | Tuya-Convert can be used on a newer firmware on the Gosund EP2 plugs as of recently! Well, not without a bit of work beforehand but it's quite easy to do, at least compared to trying to open them up and potentially destroying them.Here's how to request the newest firmware update from Gosund:1. Add your EP2 plugs into the Tuya app2. Open the plug Settings, go to "Device Information" and write down the ID you see there3. Write a mail to "globalservice@gosund.com" with the Device ID(s) you noted down and tell them you want to use Tuya-Convert.4. Wait a few days.5. After a week or so you'll get a popup information that a new device firmware is ready to be installed. Go ahead and update the device, for me this was 1.0.6Voila! You can then go ahead and use Tuya-Convert as usual! If you want to use my tutorial without a Raspberry Pi: youtu.be/oTXI42X2H10Hope this helps all of you Smart Home enthusiasts out there! Tuya-Convert on Windows - Use VMware to flash Tuya devices! (July 2022 Update!) EpicLPer 2020-06-04 | July 2022 Update: As you may have heard Tuya-Convert didn't work for quite a while now, however there have been some changes recently! A bit ago I bought some Gosund EP2 plugs which weren't flash-able via Tuya-Convert, however you can request the firmware version 1.0.6 from the Gosund support and enable Tuya-Convert again! I'm not sure if this will be the case for many other devices, however at least the EP2 plugs are compatible again now! Got 2 community strikes, cant upload new videos - Read Description EpicLPer 2018-12-31 | I'm simply releasing one of my unlisted videos now so people will actually see this in their sub feed.So recently my account got hit with 2 Community Guideline strikes which makes me unable to upload new videos. I won't be able to upload new ones until March 2019 which, in my opinion, is just BS but whatever... The 2 videos that got striked were the Nintendo Switch ones (not gonna name them).
