A Conversation with Sophie and Onyi ; creator and muse of the Onyi Tarot Oyas Girl 2020-12-23 | Sophie created this deck as a gift for her best friend and muse, Onyi. Onyi is hard to capture; almost like trying to hold on to light. She is intelligent, curious, and striking and this deck reflects that. Parts of this deck are inspired by Onyi's heritage, and identity as a Nigerian woman. This deck includes imagery from religions around the world and ancient mythologies. Sophie was inspired by Yoruba goddesses, Egyptian and Adinkra symbols. There is nod to Astrology and the Zodiac, and many powerful African women leaders and battle queens.
