Der Alltag wird immer schnelllebiger und manchmal habe ich den Eindruck, dass wir kaum noch Zeit finden, die Gefühle die in uns herumschwirren, zu bemerken und wirklich wahrzunehmen und annehmen. Es ist Luxus, Zeit zu finden, sich damit zu beschäftigen. Und natürlich ist es nicht immer ganz angenehm, trotzdem kann es doch Leichtigkeit bringen, in sein Innerstes zu blicken. Most people like warm weather more than winter and the cold season. That's one thing that I can understand. But I remember conversations with friends who told me that they prefer warm weather, even if the sky is grey instead of wintertime with blue sky. For me more important than the number of degrees is the appearance of the sun - so between "warm & grey sky " and "cold & blue sky" I would definitely choose "cold & blue". :-) This winter I faced many such days, including today, and I am very grateful for that! I dedicate this piece to the cold, blue sky and to my memories of my one-year residence in Madrid (where I studied classical guitar at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid). Die meisten Menschen mögen die warme Jahreszeit lieber als die Wintermonate. Soweit kann ich es verstehen, obwohl ich persönlich mich nicht ganz klar entscheiden kann. Doch ich erinnere mich an Gespräche mit Freunden, die mir sagten, dass sie warmes Wetter in jedem Fall dem kalten Wetter vorziehen, auch wenn der Himmel grau und trüb ist. Für mich sind die Grade der Temperatur weniger wichtig als die Anwesenheit der Sonne - zwischen "warm & grauer Himmel" und "kalt und blauer Himmel" würde ich definitiv "kalt und blauer Himmel" auswählen. :-) In diesem Winter habe ich viele solcher Tage erlebt, auch heute herrscht wunderbarer Sonnenschein mit blauem Himmel. Ich widme dieses Stück dem kalten, blauen Himmel und den Erinnerungen an meinen einjährigen Aufenthalt in Madrid (wo ich klassische Gitarre an der dortigen Hochschule studiert habe). This is even already a so called "Serendipity"! :-) Serendipity is an unplanned fortunate discovery, it's used for scientific or technological discoveries, but also for example if you are bumping into a good friend in an unusual location or finding money on the street...or maybe also winning the lottery...;-) If you allow me to make a philosophical excursion I would like to add that we don't know if the last 2 examples make people (exclusively) lucky...?! But however,... the word means something beautiful, something positive. Es wird im Zusammenhang mit wissenschaftlichen und technischen Errungenschaften verwendet, aber auch zum Beispiel, wenn man einen guten, alten Freund an einem ungewöhnlichen Platz, den man selbst sehr selten besucht, trifft - oder wenn man Geld auf der Straße findet - oder vielleicht auch, wenn man im Lotto gewinnt...;-) Wenn ihr mir erlaubt, einen kleinen philosophischen Ausflug zu machen, möchte ich hier hinzufügen, dass es nicht ganz sicher ist, ob man bei den letzten 2 Beispielen (ausschließlich) von Glück reden kann...?! This melody seems to me as if it could be a song, but finally I added a lot of small, fast notes to it in the accompaniment. Now this ballad-like melody could become a virtuoso piece and so it could be also used as a technical study, especially for the right hand (arpeggio), but also for the left hand (barré). Diese Melodie würde sich gut für ein Lied mit Text eignen, doch ich habe dann konträr zur gesanglichen, ruhigen Linie viele schnelle Töne als Begleitung hinzugefügt. So kann dieses eigentlich balladenhafte Stück im Ursprung auch ein virtuoses Stück werden und als technische Herausforderung gesehen werden - vor allem für die rechte Hand (Arpeggio), aber auch für die linke Hand (Barré). Above my head in my music room at home I see hanging a mobile consisting of 10 small ghosts, each one in a different colour. This was a present from my grandmother a looong time ago. I have always loved colours and so this was the perfect present for me. I have taken it with me all the years and it moved with me to different homes, had already 5 homes. On my blog you will see a picture of it. Über mir in meinem Musikzimmer hängt ein Mobile mit 10 kleinen Geistern, jedes in einer anderen Farbe. Es war ein Geschenk von meiner Oma vor laaanger Zeit. Ich habe schon immer bunte Farben aneinandergereiht geliebt, deshalb war das das perfekte Geschenk für mich. Ich habe es auf all meinen Wegen mitgenommen, hat bereits 5 verschiedene "Zuhause" gehabt. If you are high, you only can get down - if you are low, you only can rise up - actually that is a very simple and logic "law" in life, although it is difficult to understand - for this reason it is repeatingly part of my inspiration. The pictures are pale, maybe with less colours - However, the feeling stays or even got stronger during time and also beautiful and happy moments get nostalgic because of the fact that it is gone and never will come back again.I hope you like my tune! Zirkusmarsch | Einzug der Gladiatoren (Arr. Angela Mair) Angela Mair 2024-02-07 | Originally, this composition was titled "Grande Marche Chromatique", composed by Julis Fučík in 1899. Later he changed the title to "Entry of the Gladiators", after having read a description about a entry of gladiators in a book which impressed him a lot. In North America, this melody got famous in the Circus (varied and faster) and it was imported into Europe again. Nowadays, this melody is well-known and uses to accompany the appearance of clowns in the circus. My arrangement contains the initial Intro and the first part. Bald änderte er den Titel zu "Einzug der Gladiatoren", nachdem er in einem Buch die Beschreibung eines solchen Einzugs gelesen hatte und beeindruckt war. Das Stück wurde im nordamerikanischen Zirkus bekannt (in einer leicht veränderten Fassung und schnellerem Tempo) und wieder zurück nach Europa gebracht. I have always loved this "Christmas melody" because of its calm, sweet and charming character. Largo from Winter (The 4 Seasons) - Antonio Vivaldi | Arr. Angela Mair Angela Mair 2023-12-11 | Antonio Vivaldi's probably most known composition is his work "The 4 Seasons" (orig. "Le quattro stagioni"). It is a group of 4 violin concerti, each one expresses one season of the year. This beautiful piece is the second movement of the 4th concert ("Winter", orig. "L' Inverno"). Originally, the piece is composed in Eb Major. I have transposed it to C Major to make a quiet easy playable arrangement - at the same time my aim was being as close as possible to the original to provide the full beauty of its melody.Antonio Vivaldi captured an intimate situation in this music: ...sitting in a warm room inside the house while watching the raindrops falling onto the window... (maybe also the snowflakes?) Ich habe es nach C-Dur transponiert, um eine angenehm spielbare Version für Gitarre zu schaffen. Bei aller Reduktion habe ich trotzdem versucht, das Werk und seine Melodie in seiner vollen Schönheit wiederzugeben.Antonio Vivaldi hat diesen Moment hier musikalisch festgehalten:...in einem warmen Haus, am Kachelofen sitzend den Regentropfen zusehen, wie sie an die Fensterscheibe fallen... (vielleicht auch die Schneeflocken?)
