kipptune 2016-09-29 | To clear up a little confusion: Track 1 is NOT the title theme. The songs are organized as, "Title Theme, Tracks 1-5" (Track 5 is just a jingle though) The copyright is labeled as 1993 because that's the year on the build date of the prototype rom.

This started from a challenge to cover the Time Trax (Mega Drive) soundtrack using no expansion chips. Started with this track because it's my personal favorite song from the OST.

Will I cover the rest? Only time will tell...

Also, the reason the video and audio don't sync up by the end of the video is because hardware recordings play slightly faster, and there's nothing I can really do about that :/ I tried to make the audio play later so sync up by the end, but that didn't work. Just listen to the music okay thanks.

Losing Time [Famicompo PICO 2015]

kipptune 2016-01-03 | My second and final entry for Famicompo PICO 2015, it placed 60th overall. This was my entry for the FCP15 cartridge but it didn't make it.

I had fun messing with time signatures when making this one and the Yxx effect with the Sunsoft bass. Not much else I can say about this one. Also a fun fact: this is a 50hz module, which would usually mean PAL, but I made it NTSC 50hz because PAL changes the sound of the noise channel.

kipptune 2015-08-02 | I got ahold of the oldest FamiTracker versions and decided to make a short loop. To put it short: it was tough. (read below)

I started in 0.0.0 but the frame editor didn't work, so I moved on to 0.0.1. I composed the rest of the song in 0.0.1, but then I found out effects aren't even present in that version, as I tried to place a Bxx effect to loop the song and nothing happened. I finally added the Bxx effect when I moved on to 0.0.2, and this is what you're watching right now!

I'm sorry if the audio is choppy(ish) but it isn't the recording. FamiTracker 0.0.2 is actually like that and doesn't have a speed option, only a tempo option. That means the tempo isn't consistent :P

kipptune 2015-07-04 | LSDJ WHAAAT!?!?!? I'm learning how to use it and this is my first song I made with the program. There are a lot of things that could be improved and I'm still learning.

I had no idea what to do when recording the footage, so I just scrolled through the different patterns because looking at the song screen the whole time is a bit boring.

Also, I made this on my DS Lite on my R4 :P
