Starting out the day with some attitude adjustment lectures before heading out for a two lap sighting of the track and showing us how to enter the pits safely. This is so that riders who have never been on this track before can get familiar with the layout and get used to having all the space available to them unlike on the roads. DIY Headlight Protector: Part 1 Viper1350 2016-04-18 | See part 2 of this video on NakedDave's channel here: youtu.be/KHiAy24CnOENakedDave and I decided to make our headlight covers after we reviewed my rearview footage at night. You can only see lights, and can't distinguish whether there are cars or bikes behind you.Seeing as I do quite a lot of lane splitting, and winter is fast approaching, we thought some amber headlight covers will aid in being more visible and thus safer as well.Recipe:Beer, Oven mitts, aluminium foil, perspex, oven, more beer, your best mate, patience, masking tape, felt, velcro tabs1. Create a template of your headlight using the masking tape (I put talcum powder on the sticky bits to make it easier to deal with after removing it from the bike)2. Using template, cut perspex to slightly oversize using a jigsaw3. Heat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius4. Cover headlight and surrounds with felt to protect the bike 5. Place perspex on top of foil in baking tray (stops it from sticking) and heat for approx. 5 minutes6. Wearing oven mitts, take the perspex out the oven and mold over felt-covered headlight until cooled enough to be hard7. Sand / grind off excess plastic8. COMMUTING #8: DUAL CAMERAS!! Viper1350 2016-03-31 | I finally got around to fitting my second camera. This took some deliberation as I had to prepare myself emotionally to stick something to my 'new' bike. This is just a short video of my commute home the other night and the stuff that happens, just so that I could play around with the different views.The second camera angle came out much better than what I expected.
