Punk AidThere is a place that is hidden and out of sight Where beagles suffer and no one sees their plight They’re bred with each other To be used as industry fodder In cruel and pointless tests that are a moral blight
Give them hope, give them strength, give them life Like a candle burning in the dead of night We are with them in our hearts and in our minds. And we’re here for the beagles through their darkest times
Under Police guard they are taken from this place Escorted past the liberationists who are not two faced To the cruelty and the greed of the money made From the gentle nature of the beagle and their grace
Give them hope, give them strength, give them life Like a candle burning in the dead of night We are with them in our hearts and in our minds. And we’re here for the beagles through their darkest times
The time has come and we must take a stand No more dogs should die for testing in this land To send them quietly to their death is a disgrace We cannot ignore the cries of their painful fate
Give them hope, give them strength, give them life Like a candle burning in the dead of night We are with them in our hearts and in our minds. And we’re here for the beagles to end their darkest times
There is a place that is hidden and out of sight Where beagles suffer and no one sees their plight They’re bred with each other To be used as industry fodder And we will stop this no matter for how long we have to fight

MBR Acres in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire is a puppy breeding farm part of the American transnational Marshall Bioservices. It produces and supplies on average 2000 beagle dogs a year to be used, abused and ultimately killed in pharmo-chemical testing facilities. At the age of 12 weeks, these loving, playful dogs are loaded into crates, put into the back of vans and driven off in secrecy to await a torturous and untimely demise.
Since Summer 2021 activists have come together to oppose this vile profit-drive trade. Exposes have been released in the press, discussion has taken place in Parliament and the media, and activists have mounted a continuous protest camp outside the death camp, as well as other protests against MBR´s business partners such as Impex Couriers. A total of 23 puppies have been liberated by activists climbing the fences and accessing the site during this campaign.
At the end of 2021, encouraged by the ease and popularity of online communication and recording, punks from DIY and anarcho scenes across Europe, the UK and Japan came together to give their voices and music in support of both the animals that remain imprisoned at MBR, and the activists that courageously fight for them. Punk Aid! - Solidarity with the Beagles is the result, and features contributions from: Shöck, Disaffect, Doom, Active Slaughter, Rites of Hadda, anarchistwood, Vice Squad, Bratakus, Oi Polloi, Armoured Flu Unit, Hard Skin, Lab Rats, No, Sedition, Brain Anguish & Napalm Death.
All profits raised from the sale of single will be donated to Free the MBR Beagles campaign. More information about them can be found here: facebook.com/freethembrbeagles
