Your high value target after dropping your mag is a tiny mini IPSC at the head of the ambush. Then you run down and clear some pistol targets in front of and outside the bus. Then two more midrange rifle targets to end it. Shooting a FN SCAR 17S with a GLX 1-6 ACSS Raptor LPVO, serving up IMI M80 ball. I was having issues extracting every few rounds (it was ripping off the rims), on both Korean surplus M2 and brand new S&B M2 ammo. On a couple of those 5 or 6 stoppages, I had to lightly mortar the rifle, which tells me it might be a chamber issue.

Because one of the only 2Gunners at this club was on my squad, we both decided we would shoot the shotgun targets (tree and two falling steel) off to the right. The stage directions state this is to be skipped, but we wanted more pews. The match director was also in our squad, so he allowed it. It was fun!

This one had a field of 30 tiny falling steel targets. As I was shooting 2Gun, I had to take them all with my pistol (shotguns are cheating). Also notice that because I kept the sling on, when I pulled my Steyr AUG out of the barrel, the sling wrapped itself around my buttstock and at one point blocked the ejection port. That resulted in a malfunction, as a spent case was bounced back into the port. This is why your rifle belongs on your person or on a rack, not in a barrel! Oh well, sling came off for the rest of the match...

There were more targets this month, and despite this, I hit them all with plenty of time. Last month, I hit few of them. Clearly, installing the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24 was the right call. Last month, the Sig Sauer Romeo5 red dot (sans magnifier) was really difficult.

It was hot and sunny, so I was already out of gas for the weekend. Anyway, that, and the fact that I couldn't really see the shot-up rifle target with my red dot (I need a LPVO on this rifle, for sure) are the excuses I'm using for missing so much. We didn't come close to timing out, but I should have been faster.

After thinking about it, I realize that because we started on a loaded-but-unchambered rifle, when I released the charging handle, it went too slow and didn't go fully into battery. When I got no bang, I thought perhaps it hadn't picked up a round, so I charged it again, inducing the double feed. Oh well, you work through it and figure it out. This is a new rifle and I should have done some malfunction drills with it prior to a match.
Tiger Valley Fall 2019 2 Man Team Match - Shoot the White People Charles Soto (ReverendCharles) 2019-11-11 | Squad 2's third stage of Day 2. I don't know the actual name of this stage - that's just what one of the guys on our squad called it (he's Chinese-American). It's a thing in the USA shooting sports where you "shoot only the brown ones" but the "white ones" are no-shoots. I'm Mexican-American-Apache, so I appreciate the humor in this.You only had to hit each steel once, and it doesn't matter if they don't fall, but you'll notice me shooting a few multiple times - they had run out of spray paint and started using house paint of some type. That doesn't dry quickly, so it's hard to see your hits. You hear them, but without visual confirmation, you waste time trying to avoid a 10-second-per-miss penalty.
Tiger Valley Fall 2019 2 Man Team Match - Car Park Charles Soto (ReverendCharles) 2019-11-11 | Squad 2's second stage of Day 2 (I failed to get footage of the first stage). We shot it clean, save for that one really hard to hit A-zone head shot in the back seat of the right car. It was partially obscured by the head rest.You can also see one major procedural penalty we received the whole match - you have to unload and show clear before leaving the shooting barricade.
Tiger Valley Fall 2019 2 Man Team Match - Tower Charles Soto (ReverendCharles) 2019-11-11 | Our second stage on Day 1. I was pleased with how the Steyr AUG A3M1 fared - not because it's a bullpup (it has a 16 inch barrel after all), but mostly because I only had a red dot to reach out to 450yds. My partner was able to spot for me, though, as he had a 2-5x scope.
