Words & music: Jim Morrison Album: "The soft parade" (40th Anniversary Edition)
This new version of "The soft parade" features a poem in the beggining, sang tenderly by Morrison. I consider this song (along with "The end"), the group's ultimate mastepiece. Hope you enjoy the slideshow.
PS: You should also check the EPIC live performance of "The soft parade" at the PBS show.
"All our lives we sweat and save building for a shallow grave must be something else we say somehow to defend this place"
PS 2: Offensive/idiotic comments will be erased. John, Ray, Jim and Robbie have opened "the doors of perception" for all of us; if you do not wish to enter, then don't. Thank you :)
PS3: I have added the lyrics of the song in the form of subtitles. In the end of the song, Jim sings over his own voice many different lyrics that were previously used in the song, so it was very hard to put down everything he says in the tiny space of a subtitle! Forgive me please :)
PS 4: Jim's little poem in the beginning:
"I am troubled immeasurably by your eyes, I am struck by the feather of your soft reply, The sound of glass speaks quick disdain, And conceals what your eyes fight to explain."

"Talking blues" is the first one; enjoy Morrison's ramblings and the feeling of being in the studio with the band.
The Doors recorded their fifth album "Morrison hotel" from November 1969 until January 1970. The record was released in February of 1970.The Doors- Whiskey & mystics & men (alternate version)celebrant92010-07-17 | "Whiskey & mystics & men"

Words & music: Jim Morrison Artist: The Doors Album: "The soft parade" (18 July 1969)
Yet another great song from "The soft parade" album. John gives the track a great tempo, Ray's keyboard is on fire, Robby adds his liquid magic and Jim's vocal perormance shows to everyone who the Shaman is. Enjoy!
"Play it, brother!"
PS: Offensive/idiotic comments will be erased. John, Ray, Jim and Robbie have opened "the doors of perception" for all of us; if you do not wish to enter, then you should simply...drift away. 😉 Thank you 😊The Doors - Who scared youcelebrant92009-09-13 | "Who scared you"

Appears as a bonus track in "The soft parade". A cool song. :)

Words & music:The Doors Album: "The Doors" (40th Anniversary Edition)
Available in their 40th anniversary "The Doors" CD, the song is an early version of "Moonlight drive", Morrison's poem that got it all started when he sang it to Manzarek, in the summer of 1965. There's no Robby epic solo here, nor Jim's "mature" singing.
For the slideshow, I used pictures from the first photoshoots of the band.
The final rendition of "Moonlight drive" is available in "Strange days", The Doors' second record.
Enjoy!
PS: Offensive/idiotic comments will be erased. I'm all for freedom of speech but I will not tolerate dickheads who try to pick up a fight in order to find a meaning in their lives by dissing the band. John, Ray, Jim and Robbie have opened "the doors of perception" for all of us; if you do not wish to enter, then you should simply...leave. Thank you :)Jefferson Airplane -Somebody to love , White rabbit (live at Woodstock)celebrant92009-07-31 | Jefferson Airplane's diamonds performed at Woodstock, on 17th August 1969 .
"Somebody to Love", written by Darby Slick and "White rabbit", written by Grace Slick.
Jefferson Airplane's performance of these two songs is included in a film called "Woodstock:The Director's Cut" by Michael Wadleigh.
"Good mornin',people!"
Really digging: Jack's outfit and groovy headbanging, Spencer's hat and badass drumming, Marty's voice, sideburns and tambourine, Jorma's playing and crazy hair, Paul's headband and vocals (well on other songs 😛) and Grace's eyes, barefootness (lol) and mostly her unbelievably amazing voice.
Love Jefferson Airplane's spirit.
Go ride the music people and enjoy!
Edit: I have posted the lyrics in the subtitles area. I think it's helpful! Enjoy everyone!
