Obviously, we all know that when bad people want to do bad things, they obviously try and cover their traces - but it feels like we have to restate things over and over again.
Come on FAA, try and knock a couple of brain cells together and realise that this does nothing to enhance safety. It's just a massive overreach into peoples privacy, their freedom, and will stiffle work on new technology.

Finally use a radio on iOS!!CurryKitten2024-05-22 | With ELRS 3.4 now released, it seems a good time to add Wifi joystick support into my FPV Sim. Whilst you can also use this on Android, there are better methods to use - which I'll go through.
Just search "CurryKitten" in your appropriate App store and you should find the sim - if you haven't tried it already. If you already have it, then it should update for you.

I got onto this a bit late, so I'm paying catch up a little.
It was working on the desktop pretty quickly, but when actually testing on a real iPhone I had to fundamentally change the way it worked - twice! Anyway, this should be coming out soon(ish) along with support for Tracer/Crossfire modules.
It was actually the Velocidrone folks that pushed this idea through - so props (pun intended) to them for the idea!

In this video, I'll be going through some of the changes I made to improve things.
One of the biggest jumps in improvement was to simply swap out the stock WalkSnail goggle antenna with some MenaceRC ones (with thanks to Greg from Menance for sending these over). If you want to try them out, you'll find MenanceRC antennas sold on many FPV shops, but this is the link to Menaces website for them menacerc.co.uk/product/dji-antenna-digipack

Will it finally work!!CurryKitten2024-04-19 | 3rd, or maybe 4th times a charm. I've had some weird issues with this lovely quad since I got it, but I pinned this down to some issues with the connections between the motor windings and the motors. iFlight kindly supplied me with some new motors and other parts to basically convert this to the V2 Chimera.
This is also intended as a proper test of my Walksnail gear. Although I've had a set of Walksnail goggles and VTX's, I've only managed to really fly micros successfully - so I was keen to range test this.
You'll also see I was using the RadioMaster Bandit module and BR1 receiver to put an 868Mhz ELRS system on this quad.

I've used magnifying lenses, that are good, but many people suggested a microscope for really close-up work, so I've got a chance to give this one a go. Aside from micro-soldering, the 3 different lenses make this a good sciencey scope with the ability to look at slides, and for collectors who need to inspect things close up

There's quite a lot to cover in the one (hence the length). We need to flash our camera and ground station, wire up the wifi adapters, add BECs working on different voltages, configure some bits of software, and test it all out... and that's not including the issues I ran into :)
You can peruse the documentation on the main OpenIPC site here (more importantly it has links to the telegram groups): openipc.org

What I'm using in my build - no affiliate links here, this is just what I bought, but bear in mind that the range of equipment that you can use is quite large: IP Camera (I ordered with 12V LAN cable (which comes in handy for flashing) and a 2.8mm lens): aliexpress.com/item/1005004350557805.html Wifi modules (2 of): aliexpress.com/item/1005005638445796.html (You will also need 4 x UFL antennas for these): NVR Board: aliexpress.com/item/1005004023376532.html Mini uBECs (4 of needed I think): ebay.co.uk/itm/254153188189 I got these from eBay in the UK, there should be lots of options available. You don't have to use these ones, but you will need 12v, 3.3v, and 5v power for the various things.
